This dental office only wants your money. Esta oficina solo quiere dinero. The staff is super nice and friendly but I think it's a cover to get you to give into their services not covered by insurance. After taking a bunch of X-rays and poking my teeth and making my gums bleed, they sent the person to come in and go over the recommended plan and their prices. I said I couldn't afford anything out of pocket right now so they let me go. I realized they didn't even offer to do a basic cleaning that is covered by my insurance. I called the next day to see if I could have it done because I wanted to use my insurance benefit, the hygienist said no because I need a deep cleaning. I've never left a dental office without at least having a basic cleaning. I got the impression this place just wants to perform costly treatments and not what the insurances actually cover. I'm switching my insurance and going back to my old dentist in Riverside, at least I know the drive is worth it. read more

I scheduled an appointment for 7.6.23 on 6.29.23 and lo and behold, I get a call this morning at 9:30, a half hour before my appointment, telling me I don't have insurance. (They apparently don't have time throughout the week to verify, and they used the 4th of July falling on a Tuesday to justify their last minute attempt, because calling on 6.29, 6.30, 7.1, 7.3, 7.5 wasn't an option) I get to the office and they are able to locate... NOW, I have the exam (standard procedure, including free x-rays) and they hit me with a charge of 1889 for a crown, with a $1250 out of pocket, not to mention the "build up" for the tooth, an additional $135! They tell me, "...the doctor is ready to proceed if you are." And I'm glad I told them to hold on, and explain the charges, because that statement is a red flag right there... She said that my benefit only covers 40 percent (wrong, it's 50 percent btw) of the crown, BUT they use a super special crown that costs a lot more. "Of course" the doctor recommends it... Any other porcelain crown costs 700 (with 350 out of pocket), but theirs costs 1889... And I need 2... Keep in mind my insurance has a max payout of 700 for any crown. I'm out of pocket for any other charges. So she heads back to the phones to confirm with my insurance. 10-15 minutes later, her tone changes... "Oops, someone from your insurance (my fault now) told our office that we were out of network, so we charged you the cash price, not from the Ameritas pricing schedule." (Oops) "We are in network, so here are the prices." (Oops) The build up charge was the same as what I had quoted before. But their out of pocket for their super special crown was still over 800 bucks. And I MIGHT have had them do the work, but I KNEW in the back of my head they were looking for a sucker to say yes to the initial inflated price so they could have a night out on me. So sorry, too many "oopses" today. Confidence and trust eroded... Please do not use them. If you do, make sure you get the correct pricing from your insurance prior to any work done. And remember, it's a business first, as partons of said businesses we need to do our due diligence, because it's apparent Modern Dentistry will not... read more

Went here for an exam and because I had pain on the back side of my mouth. The front desk girls are very nice. Sherly Sohal the dentist recommended some pretty serious work (redoing a failing root canal, and a new root canal next to it, or pulling the tooth and doing a bridge). This exam consisted of her jabbing what she said was an abscess between my teeth, causing me to bleed, and saying see there's an abscess. She did not examine any of my other teeth or my gums. I went and got a second opinion because I thought that amount of work was a bit strange for something that only hurts every once in a while. Second opinion dentist (whom is trusted by friends and family) stated that none of that work needed to be done. (he did find a lot of minor things that need to be taken care of though which Sherly didn't mention like cavities and gum issues) So beware unless you want to have some crazy expensive unnecessary surgeries done I suggest finding a different dentist. read more

FILING A COMPLAINT! DENTAL MALPRACTICE! PERRIS MODERN DENTISTRY INJURED MY SON'S UVULA( the little thing that hangs at the back of the throat) last Thursday. He said it got sucked by the water suction while they are doing the procedure to the point that he almost choke. His throat hurts and having difficulty of swallowing the food and drinks since his dental appointment. Saturday night, his UVULA turned brown that looks rotten, very swollen and became 3x longer than normal. Perris Modern Dentistry did not inform us (parents) that was happened. Monday, I called the clinic and let them know about it, they put me on hold for a long a time and they said to bring my son to the urgent care instead and go to their clinic the next day. We went to the urgent care and the finding is UVULITIS. This afternoon, we went to the dental clinic and was greeted by the very disrespectful and unapologetic woman with a loud mouth in the front desk. She said they did not receive the email I sent regarding the findings. I gave the printed copy and she insisted that it was a just a sore throat. FYI UVULITIS is way different from the sore throat!!! Sore throat is a symptom from having an OVULITIS! Anyway, no dentist came out to check or talk to us at all! She also denied that they are the reason why my son is having difficulty of swallowing the food and drinks and they will not reimburse the urgent care fee! She even had the audacity to asked me if we are tested for covid, because it might be a covid instead! FYI my son doesn't have any symptoms like cough, fever and cold. Perris Modern Dentistry doesn't have a nerve to apologize for their malpractice! Woman in the front desk was too loud and very disrespectful! This office and the entire team are great! The front desk is always staffed by someone friendly and welcoming! I recently had a root canal and crown done at this office and the entire procedure and appointment process was absolutely seamless. Lauren Jaeger ,the Hygienist at the office, is awesome! She is very sweet and made the cleaning simple. Dr. Sohal was very kind as she explained the problem and the procedure to me. I had a root canal scheduled in the same office with Dr. Dayley a week later. He and his team made me feel very comfortable with the big procedure and were quick and efficient! This was a MUCH better experience than the previous root canal I had done at another office. The benefits coordinator was great and helped me work out the best payment schedule for the procedure and overall was just easy to work with. Horrible service! Dishonest. Stay away. On a weekend I had pain in my jaw and what I correctly believed to be an infection below the gums. I set up an appointment to be seen by Sherly Sohal. I arrived. I filled out the paperwork. I was waiting to be seen. At one point I indicated that I have a regular dental office but that it was closed on the weekend. After waiting more time in pain I was told that the insurance system was down. I explained that I need just a consultation and possibly antibiotics if there is an infection. I said I was willing to pay cash. After more time in pain I was told to go to an urgent care medical office. I said I needed dental x-rays and dental consultation. I was repeatedly declined service despite having and appointment and made to wait over and over and was in pain and had cash to pay. I was told that an urgent care doctor is better equipped to deal with my dental issues than a dentist. I suspect that because I was not going to have the more expensive work done there I was lied to about the insurance system being down. My cash was rejected. My time was wasted. A medical doctor is not better equipped to deal with my dental issues. I sat in pain for over an hour in an urgent care after having wasted all that time in the dental office with an appointment only to get ibuprofen and antibiotics. Again, I had an appointment and had a dental problem and declined service without good reason. read more

I'd leave no stars, if that were an option. My husband has had two crowns put on by them, and they both broke in less than a years time. Need I say more? Both crowns should have lasted way longer than one year. No excuses. They did not properly "adjust his bite" twice. I used to be a dental assistant, so I can tell you with full confidence that this is the product of poor work. We contacted them the first time it broke and we agreed to let them "fix it". Less than a year later the second crown broke too. What would you do next? Let them fix it again?? Or go somewhere else? We decided to go somewhere else. We decided that we did not trust them to do the work a third time. We reasonably requested a full refund upon proof that the crown was in fact broken again. Tony, office manager, just kept repeating over and over that "all they could do is keep fixing it themselves". Two different dentists in their office have tried to fix it now with the same result. It is absurd to expect us back after this. My husband has missed many days of work, in addition to enduring the anxiety associated with dental visits. He should not have to purchase another crown so soon to replace the one done in this office. We are going to pursue justice in small claims or insurance arbitration. This review will be removed if the office assumes responsibility for the errors and reimburses us. That would be the fair, professional thing to do after all. read more

I'm glad I went in finally and had some work done at Perris Modern Dentistry! They took me in as a new patient and was able to do see me and do work on me the same day. I had gingivitis and some pockets in the 4/5 range but was very blown away by their deep cleaning. I have never had a cleaning down so thoroughly all of my life by Lauren and so was very happy to show my wife .
