I love to bring local contactors into this project and have met amazingly honest people such as Arkansas Drain and Foundation, Salter Plumbing, Top Notch Roofing, Martin Footprints Flooring, Roundabout Cleaning Services, and many other local establishments that take care with this old girl of mine. I hired local Wolverine Roofing and Solar in 2022 for a full roof replacement including upgrades to slope a flat portion, install architectural shingles, and a seperate contract for subcontracted new gutters after the roof was installed and paid. I paid the roofing contract in full, over $34,000 -- received a Certificate of Completion and a paid in full invoice for the roofing work from Wolverine. Shortly after install, I noticed a gap left in the roofline that allowed varmints into my attic. I also reported that two windows were broken during installation (pointed out to the project manager at time installation) and that the newly installed gutter on the flat section was placed too high, causing drainage issues. It took 8 months of follow-up, multiple calls, and threats of legal action to get the company to respond. The gutter on the flat/pitched portion of the roof was installed too high, Mr. Vaprezsan himself acknowledged over a year ago, stating it caused water backup and should be corrected. Only after further escalation and on-site assessment with another contractor on site, did they properly repair the gap and replace the windows. When they did come, they initially performed a subpar patch job on the roofline. After pushing them hard on the quality of the "repair" did they finally come and correct for a second time. However, the gutter issue was never addressed -- and now the pitched flat roof section is leaking into my home, damaging my historic beadboard ceilings. Despite multiple attempts to contact them, Wolverine Roofing and Solar failed to respond until I filed a formal complaint with BBB. When I filed a BBB complaint, they responded by falsely claiming I didn't pay -- despite their own invoice for the roofing work stating my balance was $0. I did reserve payment for separate sub-contracted gutter work until the corrective actions promised by Mr. Vaprezsan were completed. Looking into other reviews, I've found this kind of response pattern is not unique to me. This company and owner have not upheld their workmanship warranty and failed to take accountability. Rather than addressing the leak and warranty claim, Wolverine Roofing has responded to my BBB complaint with an unfounded accusations and personal attacks. Looking into other reviews, I've found this kind of response pattern is not unique to me. I hoped to resolve this in good faith and expectation that Mr. Vaprezsan would honor his word and contractual agreements. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for your roofing needs. I would strongly caution anyone considering Wolverine.

My main complaint is with the Salesman (Shawn). In the beginning of the claim, we had to constantly reach out to him for updates, several occasions I had to text him more than once to get a reply from him. I finally called the office & spoke with Jodi & she talked with him & he got a little better w/communication. It took awhile to get started on roof because my insurance couldn't get the proper pictures & paperwork needed. Shawn kept saying he sent but insurance never got them. I assumed it was a technical issue with the system. We paid the deposit to start roof & it was done in a timely manner. We had to wait an additional couple of weeks for the gutter repairs. I would get multiple texts & I also got a call about the final payment. I replied to text & advised insurance needs certificate of completion before payment will be sent. Spoke with Shawn many times & he "claimed" this was sent. Spoke with insurance & they never received it. Insur received other paperwork but not this. There were many text & emails sent between myself, Shawn & Allstate. I stayed on top of this trying to get the proper paperwork. This past weekend we noticed the gutter wasn't repaired, they left an opening on the gutter where debri could get in & stop up the gutter. Texted Shawn about this & thats when things went real south. Earlier that same day my insurance called me & said they still had not received certificate of completion but he was going to make an exception to their policy & go ahead with the final payment. I let Shawn know payment was on its way to us (via an exception) & once the gutter issue was corrected we would pay the balance. He then proceeds to say you are past due & need to pay the bill by the latest tomorrow. Well, I said "How can I be past due when you have not sent the proper paperwork for payment"? This is when he became VERY UNPROFESSIONAL & I was appalled that someone in the service industry would talk to a customer like this. His text became rude & I was just in shock. It got to a point where I told him the conversation between him & I were done. He replied with a "Wow", I told him how unprofessional he was then he tried flipping all this around on me saying I came at him, I told him again this conversation is over & I will reach out to Jodi in the am. He said if thats what you feel you need to do for satisfaction then go ahead but she works in the office not the field. He then changes his attitude some & I said funny how your attitude changes when I mention Jodi. He said he wasn't threatened by Jodi he just misread my messages. At this point I blocked him phone number, enough is enough. I copied all text & sent to Jodi immediately (she had given me her cell previously). I didn't expect her to reply right away because it was outside of business hours but she did. She apologized & said "oh wow, that's unprofessional & so unnecessary, please accept my apologies", she also stated she was so embarrassed & this should have never happened between a salesman & customer. She called me the next afternoon & said she would get someone out the next day on the gutter repair, she also informed me that she looked in the system & Shawn never sent certificate of completion (he said he did 3 times). She again apologized for how Shawn acted & said he had some personal issues going on & let that get in the way of his professional work. She said that was no excuse & she has talked with him. I told her we would send payment when all work was done & sign the paperwork. I also informed her that this company was recommended by my mother but I wont recommend a company that lets an employee like this work there. Final invoice came, amount owed was more than final payment from insur, I questioned this & was told this is because of codes & deductible. Shawn was told my insur covers codes but he never turned in paperwork for this either. We were also told from Shawn, day 1 that he would work in our deductible so we wouldn't have to pay anything out of pocket. His word was purely a sales tactic & was not kept. I have every text, email & vm related to this claim. They said they would take $500 off the invoice but this should not have been on anyways because my insur covers this with proper paperwork from contractor.

I received a bill the next day (which I paid) but it was not actually half of what was quoted, it was less. Hmmm. That's where it all started. I had to constantly call them to see when they would put me on their schedule. I got many reasons why they couldn't get to me. Finally they sent a new project manager to me and he took photos and told me the job was no problem. I asked him to send me at least two options for a new sink and faucet. But all I got was one for each. A week later, I still don't know when they would start work. Then I was told that I would have to order the disposal myself and that they would install it for free! What? This was because the guy who billed me did not include the disposal in my invoice. Weeks later, the contractor team finally came to install the sink and faucet; one did not speak English and the other could barely speak English. They removed the old sink/faucet and started to install the new ones. They told me there was a problem. What? There was not a hose for the faucet sprayer. So, I gave them the address to the local hardware store and they were gone for 2 hours. Then the project manager called to say he would have to special order the hose. When the contractor came back to put the faucet in, they told me they had good news, they found the hose! It was with the sink parts. Great! They installed the faucet and sprayer (although it was installed crooked). Then they attached the disposal to the sink before dry fitting it. So once they tried to put the sink in, they told me it was 1 inch too small. I told them to take it back and order another one. But since they had already attached the disposal it could not be returned. But they said they could "make it work." Once completed, the guy told me that it "looked okay to him." But it was not to my liking. There were gaps that were not addressed and they didn't paint the trim. So the project manager came back to work on it further himself (which he said was something they didn't like for him to do). It was better, but even so, my husband will still have to fill in spaces on each side where the silicone shrank. Then... they continued to contact me for the final payment. Seems you pay them and they take their time doing the job. But you don't pay them immediately and they get in your face. Oh well. Finally after 9 WEEKS, I have a new sink installed.
