I do not recommend. I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at this grooming business. I specifically asked for a trim, and instead my dog was shaved down completely. To make matters worse, they actually nicked him in a sensitive area, leaving him visibly uncomfortable for days afterward, which is completely unacceptable. When I got him back, his coat was uneven and choppy, with some areas shaved much shorter than others, even down to the point of looking bald. His face wasn't cut evenly at all, and his ears looked like they had been hacked at rather than properly groomed. It honestly looked careless and unprofessional. This was my third visit, and unfortunately, the last two experiences have been terrible. There's also no clear explanation of how they charge, and no accountability or communication about why they didn't follow the grooming instructions I gave. I will not be returning. It's simply not worth it. My dog deserves to be treated with care and leave looking well-groomed not uncomfortable and looking like a rushed, uneven job was done. read more

I have been coming here for the past 2-3 years and at first the prices were reasonable for a cut and bath but this last time was outrageous! $80 For a Pomeranian just because she was matted and supposedly has fleas which I hadn't seen any fleas on her. I have been a customer of Perky Pooch for many many years. Recently I arrived with my dog and asked for the person who groomed my dog and was " roughly " responded that she no longer works for me. It seems like their services have gone down and their customer seriously needs to be worked on. For the first time ever my dog stank when I got her and she always came home smelling fragrant. I took her back and when I got her this time her cut was uneven and blotchy. I normally send everyone one that asks me to take their dog to them I have 3 dogs that go to their shop and it appears they are cleaned but no shampoo smell at all has been used. Came here many times, have always had good experience, today all I ask was why the price went up, I still would have paid but owner was so rude, she came out like she was ready to fight me, says she don't know me ect. If I would have kept going she would have too. I would have never spoke to returning customer that way. As she was going off on me she was being rough with another dog she was shaving, Soon as I saw that, I told them Im good please give me my dog back. I'm so very thankful we found this service. She was able to get us in the next morning, at a reasonable price and was very understanding of our situation. My Maine coon cat is 21 years old and these last few years have been more difficult for him and us to groom his coat. It got to the point where he was having problematic mats and needed to be shaved. I've been very cautious only taking to the vet, not wanting to add un necessary stress, as he is getting so old. But they did a wonderful job. She took her time with him and was able to get the majority of the problematic areas out out of the way, including a public trim so we had no more dingleberries. Thank you so much. read more

I was nervous due to the mixed reviews. The usual groomer for the doggies is in Orange County and was fully booked, so I brought them with me to Victorville and urgently needed a new groomer. Despite online suggestions, every groomer was fully booked that week, and with the heat, it was crucial to get them groomed quickly. A few people on the Ring app recommended Perky Pooch. Despite reservations from negative reviews mentioning rude staff, they were the only place available immediately, so I decided to give them a chance. I'm glad I did. The receptionist was kind from the start, and everyone there was welcoming. Not knowing the area well, I asked for vet recommendations, and they kindly provided information for a nearby vet. I dropped off my dogs at 10 am and they were ready for pick-up by 3 pm. They did an excellent job, especially with one dog's severe matting. They also answered my questions about grooming frequency politely. I will definitely be returning to Perky Pooch from now on. Thank you to everyone for your assistance. I wish I had better pictures, but my dogs are always on the move, making it hard to capture good shots. If you're hesitant, I suggest you give them a try! You won't regret it. Just called this morning and immediately I was met with attitude. Usually a sweet girl would answer the call and help me schedule, but today a rude lady answered and I had to end up canceling my appointment. They usually cut my dogs hair too short anyways. **Terrible Experience at Perky Pooch Grooming - Do Not Recommend!** I had the absolute worst experience at Perky Pooch Grooming. I scheduled an appointment for my dog on Saturday, and when I booked the appointment, I specifically told them I wouldn't be able to pick him up until after work, around 2 PM. When I dropped him off for his appointment, everything seemed fine, but then an hour later, I got a call saying he was done. I politely explained that I couldn't pick him up until after 2 PM, as I had clearly communicated when scheduling. To my shock, the groomer on the phone *screamed* at me, saying she wasn't going to wait around since she was "done for the day" and that it was *my* problem. She claimed there were no notes on file about the late pick-up time, even though I had explicitly mentioned it when I made the appointment. This was a total lie because I remember clearly telling them, and I trust I wasn't miscommunicating. What made the situation even worse is that their posted business hours say they don't close until 3 PM, so I have no idea why I was even getting this call at all! I was forced to call off work last-minute to resolve the situation, which was a huge inconvenience, and when I finally picked up my dog, he was completely frazzled and stressed out. It's clear that the groomer either didn't care or had no patience, and my poor dog suffered as a result. Honestly, I can't even describe how unpleasant this experience was. I will *never* be coming back to Perky Pooch, and I highly recommend you avoid this place if you care about your pet's well-being. Zero stars if I could give them that. read more

I took my labradoodle mix and my little Terrier mix , I asked NAYNA to use products for sensitive skin , I explain maxi don't like nobody touch his behind lol , I request a short cut for maxi and just a bath nails glands for Norman ! I have been taking my dogs there for well over 20 years and have always gotten fantastic service. Currently, I have two dogs that get groomed there. One of them is an absolute drama queen and I'm sure a pain in the butt to groom. Yet, when I take her there, the staff (knowing she is drama) ALWAYS welcomes her with open arms and does a great job. I've been going here for about a year now and I've been nothing but pleased with their service here, I usually come here to get my pets nails cut and anal glands done and along side my pets hair cuts from time to time when needed. Today I went in for the usual nails / glands and while waiting I was asked if I didn't mind if I had my pets hair cut with no charge cause it was slow and at the end of her shift then again my pet did look like a ewok! I've taken my twin Shitzus several times to Perky Pooch to be groomed by Nayna. This last visit will be THE last visit. I dropped them off at 830am, there were maybe 4 other dogs in crates. Informed they were closing at noon. So at 1130am I made my way to the parking lot and parked directly in front of the window and viewed Nayna yank Sugars legs, violently swing her around and shaved her behind very roughly. I was horrified and all I could do to go in and composemyself to get them out of there. I've noticed both of them dragging and locking there behinds each time they've been there but didn't realize it was pain inflicted that was the reason. I'm horrified I didn't know better. On the hunt for an animal lover to take care of my babies. I will take up payment with my bank tomorrow. read more

Very disappointed. We have been taking our 2 Pomeranians here for a long time. Never had an issue until this last time. Last week we dropped them off to get their normal cleaning and shave we do every other month. They are very cleans dogs. And only indoor dogs. They have white fur. When I brought them home I look down as they are on my lap like always and see little black dots running across their skin!! I have NEVER had any flea issues ever on any of my pets. They were INFESTED! I called in and they told me to bring them back in first thing in the morning to get a flea treatment. When we were there to drop them off the employee even said our dogs have never had fleas they were very clean dogs. So they keep them for an hour to do the treatment. Mind you I had to completely treat my house, wash all the doggy beds, spray my couches, rugs, vacuum everywhere. We have full tile thankfully. So we were called to pick them up.. the next morning they are covered AGAIN! they are everywhere. It was the weekend so of course we can't call them they are closed. I am so upset and just angry!! The money it has cost to treat my home, buying flea pills, the constant washes I have to give them now. It's a NIGHTMARE!!! They won't go away! And they didn't even offer our money back, or to get any kind of treatment for our home. And now my poor dogs are bit up everywhere. And I'm constantly feeling checking. And I'm still finding random ones on them! This is disgusting and I'm so upset with the way this situation was handled! Update: after treating our dogs, giving them flea medication, spraying our home we are still finding them!! We have NEVER HAD FLEAS EVER! And ever since we got them from their last appointment from here we CANNOT GET RID OF THEM! We are at our breaking point with this. And of course no one has contacted us regarding this situation. Go to perky pooch if you want your dog severely injured and traumatized. Our poor poor fur baby received service from this hell hole and the groomer literally sliced his bottom eye lid in half. His wound was so deep that blood would not stop pouring from his eye. He is now under going surgery as I type this message. The owner did not want to take responsibility for this until an entire day of arguing back and fourth. If you are a pet owner you know our pups are part of the family. if you care about your family don't take the risk, stay far away from this business. I was so nervous to take my sweet pitty Harley anywhere for grooming. She's just really nervous with that kind of thing & just a big baby. I decided to try Perky Pooch & by my surprise, Harley did wonderful there!! They did an incredible job with Harley! They even painted her nails & put the cutest scarf on her! My family has been going here for many years. They've always done a great job with our dogs and our dogs feel safe going here. They're always able to accommodate us and if we're in a pinch with our schedule, they are always nice to try and squeeze us in. My husband has been going here for a lot longer than me--he's not happy with the price increase over the last couple of years but everywhere you go, the prices have increased.
