PERKINS RESTAURANT West College Avenue Appleton, WI I have enjoyed this Perkins for over 20 years. Some of the staff have been there that long or longer. Quiet or busy, I've always gotten good, friendly service and good food. I've dealt with several different managers and with rare exception was always met with a smile, a friendly "HELLO" and got seated where I wanted. The facility has been clean and organized every time I've been there. I cannot see me not patronizing Perkins for years to come. read more

Between the waiter "huffing" us when we were making our orders to us literally starting to time how long our drinks were empty. 23 minutes until my husband got fed up and went and refilled them himself! If I could leave negative stars, I would. - hair in MULTIPLE dishes - cold food - produce going bad - shockingly disgusting bathrooms, I don't think they clean it at all. To top it off, the manager (?) was playing on the claw machine, completely uninterested to hear how downright disgusting the food was. I wouldn't have gone out of the way to post on the internet if she'd gave any indication of caring about how her restaurant is doing. It's no wonder it's a ghost town in there. Horrible service. Cold food. Sarcastic staff. Staff hair was hanging in beverages that he served to tables. Omelet was so cold grease and cheese had solidified in center. Pancakes were greasy and mutilated. Waitress never once stopped at table. Sat at booth with other staff talking. Kitchen staff came in and out of kitchen to chat with waitress with their gloves on and their long hair not restrained. Waitress spilled soda on floor and just left it. Staff were slovenly dressed with food on clothes. Were more concerned with hanging out with each other than waiting on tables. When I paid my bill the checkout person was talking the himself and laughing. I said, "Just so you know, both our food and our service was horrible." He said, "We get a lot of compliments from our customers and I am listening to them " I asked to see the manager. She apologized and asked what I wanted her to do. The food was cold and there was a piece of hair in the food. The service was really slow also. The ambiance could have been way better.

We waited over an 1 hour for food and there were only two other booths taken. The chicken in the pot pie was uncooked. The waitress was great and I feel bad for her. The cook staff really effects how customers tip their waitress. I hope she eventually find a better job. Don't go! read more

Their menu have changed drastically. No more steaks. No more mini chimis. Just primarily breakfast food. The only decent thing about the place is they still have their baked goods. We were seated promptly. The parking lot was empty. That should have been the first sign. The whole restaurant was empty. As more people came in, they seated us close to each other so we could hear each other's conversations. I just got off of work and was in need to relax. I don't need to hear a college kid's very detailed weekend. My Husband order a $4 item. I declined to order anything. How disappointing that they had nothing on the menu that appealed to me. These poor SOB's, they found everyway to ruin the experience. I know it's a national chain and all that nonsense. I do believe they have a basic standard. Well this Perkins didn't quite live up to it. The food was awful, yes we waited forever for it. The salad had lettuce that was starting to spoil, the stuffing that came with my turkey was salty and super dry and I only got 2 slices of turkey. You would think I was 90 yr old doing the early bird special. The soup never came and everything was served at once. This was no fault of the wait staff, she was wonderful and apologetic. It's not her fault the backend was so screwed up. Looks like another corporation that could care less unfortunately. You eat here good luck. Oh and don't forget the malox you'll need it. read more

Not very good experience for me tonight. Came in around 11pm, I know it's late, but it opens 24/7 isn't it? We ordered 3 samplers and a cheese Berger fries. We got samplers with chicken strips of the size of chicken nuggets, and I called the server for reasons. Btw, the Milk shakes here always come with a glass also a tin of extras, tonight I didn't get my extra :/ The server threw me major attitude with "there's nothing I can do... the chicken strips come in like this ... " and I responded with a "whatever". Woman basically gave me blended milk togo when I asked for a chocolate malt and when I brought it back she was confused why I had a problem with it. Customers around me were agreeing with how awful it was. Finally came home with my cold food from waiting over 10 minutes for a new shake and asking for a manager that never came, and my sides for my meal were missing and my sauce lids opened all over my food! I loved coming here because it is close to my house but I just wasted way too much money on basically not edible food. read more

I go here regularly and man, they hit it on the head every time! Despite being understaffed, they always get food out to you in a timely fashion, and when they can't, they often offer a free muffin as consolation. I've never been dissatisfied with the food or service here. Overall, it's just a nice, chill place to visit with friends or sit by yourself and think about how crazy life is. read more

I'm sure that you can guess that Stevens Point isn't busting at the seams with awesome independent cafes and restaurants. We were on our way out, traveling from Point to Waupaca, and needed some breakfast. Our options were limited, so we decided to take a chance on Perkins. Bad idea. I ordered a cinnamon roll and breakfast potatoes. Healthy, I know. My cinnamon roll was a nightmare. First, I knew it wasn't going to be vegan, but I pictured a rolled up, dry pastry to have with my coffee. What I got was the most disgusting version of a cinnabon you could possibly fathom. The frosting was caked on top and dripping with yellow oil. It was inedible. I was gagging at the sight. Basically all of the food was extremely disappointing. We didn't expect much, but got a lot less than that. I feel really sorry for the waitresses who have to deliver this mess they call food to their tables and expect good tips. My advice would be to take their experience somewhere else if they can. We learned a valuable lesson that day. No matter how hungry we may be, we will never go back to Perkins. read more

Perkins is always a nice restaurant to go to for breakfast at anytime. The ambiance is nice, it is never too loud or quiet. The food is delicious and comes at a good price. I paid about $20-$25 for 2 people to eat and drink. We had a Mediterranean omelette, and cinnamon roll French toast, coffee, and orange juice. The orange juice does only cost 99¢ when you also order a cup of coffee which is nice. I would recommend coming to Perkins for breakfast. read more

Zero stars if I could this place has brought nothing but dissatisfaction and disappointment towards me, my family, and worse my girlfriend. The breakfast is horrible when I ordered pancakes with strawberries I was only given three strawberries, with hardly any sauce, for three pancakes and no where was I going to pay extra to demand the right number of strawberries for my pancakes. The. Another time I went there with my girl we decided to share the a lemon meringue pie and lie you not there was 9 parts meringue and one part lemon. It was horrid the meringue was god awful and I wished I never went back. All in all the service is always changing with poor college students, the food is always small in portion size, and I honestly despise that place And hope I never have to go there again. read more

Waitress was friendly but we waited over an hour and half and still did not receive our food. I know it's late but not even an come by to let us know the situation. Waitress said something along the line: "when I'm not out here, I'm in the back cooking". Perhaps instead of wasting time with conversation, you help cook to bring orders out. I usually enjoy eating at this location, but my past two experiences here have been horrible. The last time we waited 15-20 minutes until our server greeted us. This time we had Peter as our server and I've never had worse service. He was extremely rude and very lazy. One of the managers told us previously that he had been yelled at for not serving shakes because he didn't want to make them and he told us that "we are out of ice cream." a perkins is a perkins but this one, is special. we went in a group of 6, our aunt resisted going saying, "it always takes too long to get your food there - like 40 minutes" but, we went. our order took an hour. the toast was buttered while cold - it had not melted. the omelets were cold. the soup barely warm. and the thing was, the place was near empty. it seems this is just the way perkins runs and we should all have listened to auntie. read more

The muffins are "the bomb"; especially the raspberry crème ones! The turkey for the turkey dinner is one of the best around. The staff is always really nice. Maybe not the tastiest food in town, but there are some good things to eat if you know what to order. read more

Have eaten at Perkins for years. My review is short. Save yourself the stop. Longest wait ever while other seated after us received food.
