I was referred to Dr Narra by my general dentist, and I am SO glad! The experience from the beginning was positive. The front staff was knowledgeable about insurance coverage and was upfront about the estimate. She answered all my questions thoroughly and professionally. Dr Narra introduced himself, and I instantly trusted him. His friendly manner and explaination of the procedure and recovery were very reassuring! He also has a great sense of humor! The back office staff were friendly, knowledgeable and made me feel relaxed. Natalie and Jen were my assistant staff, and both were great! Humor was big with us, and that made it fun! I was given a big fluffy blanket to stay warm, and given all my discharge instructions in advance, The procedure for bone graft was explained and I was offered a new fairly new procedure to help keep my body from rejecting the donor bone. I was hooked up to monitors, and Dr Narra did a quick exam of heart and lungs. My IV start was a bit difficult, which I expected, but Dr Narra finally got it and off to dream land I went! When I woke up, my niece was brought back, and all discharge instructions were related to her as well. I was numb still (yes, novacaine AND sedation!) so no discomfort. After an final check of vital signs and bleeding, I was sent on my way. As I write this (12 hours later), I am feeling great! I used gauze pads for bleeding for about 8 hours, have taken ibuprofen once, and pain pill once. Icing the jaw as well. Trying like heck to keep my tongue out of the area!!!! I would definitely recommend Dr Narra for oral surgery! My only advice is to make sure that the person driving you home bring a book or iPad!!! They can not leave the office........

I was referred there by my primary…read moredentist for evaluation of a single gum above an implant that appeared to be in slightly suspicious condition, and the staff treated me as if I had been referred for total neglect of my mouth that was going to require comprehensive treatment. They obviously had not read the referral from my dentist. The ambiance of the clinic was highly unprofessional, beginning with the high energy bumpety-bump music they had blaring over their PA system, in contrast with the soothing music that most clinics play in an attempt to put their patients in a calm mood. The receptionist began by giving me a big spiel about how the clinic had me cornered and how I was not going to get out of paying for whatever treatment I was going to need. I ended up being charged around $550 AFTER insurance for a bunch of X-rays, deep cleaning of a single gum and a recommendation for no further treatment, $200 of which I was required to pay up front before they would even see me. The nurse, Minnie, kept asking me the same questions I had already answered in their extensive on line questionnaire after considerable research in my records, and I repeatedly told her that she was wasting everybody's time by insisting on asking me these same questions when I did not know the answers off the top of my head, and that if she wanted correct information, she was going to have to refer to the answers I had submitted on line. After taking my blood pressure, she treated me to a lecture about how blood pressure can be elevated when one is at the doctor's office, as if this had been the first time I had ever visited a medical clinic (I am obviously no spring chicken). When she started singing to the bumpety-bump music, I thought it couldn't get any worse until I was sent to the hygienist, who set the tone for her portion of the visit by "thoughtfully" asking me whether I brushed my teeth, and if so, with what. The entire staff was unbelievably condescending, and I was made to feel like a juvenile delinquent being referred to a probation officer rather than a valued patient being referred for medical treatment. Dr. Zhu himself was super friendly and professional, both in my initial visit and in the followup visit, and he gave me an evaluation of my condition that I thought was eminently candid and honest. l could not believe the contrast between his professionalism and the slum-like demeanor of the clinic staff. My gut reaction was that he needs to join a different clinic. I reported my experience to my regular dentist, whom I highly respect (in contrast with the staff of this clinic, who appeared to think that she was a hack), and she was deeply apologetic and thanked me for my feedback. This was not her first choice for a periodontal clinic to refer me to, and I can see why. She only made this referral after I requested a clinic that was closer to my home than the clinic where she initially wanted me to go. I told her that after what I had been through, I would go any distance to avoid Northwest Periodontics and Implants if I should ever again need evaluation by a periodontist, and that if her own staff behaved like the staff of Northwest Periodontics and Implants, I would immediately jump ship and seek out a different dentist.

What happened today was absolutely horrendous. Dr. Dhaliwal seemed very nice and knowledgeable, but…read morethe ethics of their staff are questionable. Apart from repeated attempts to get my prior authorization started, causing delays in getting my braces in, I was given absolutely false information today. I called today and was told that my prior authorization "had gone directly to the board when submitted", I said that I thought it was strange considering I had received immediate approval from a different doctor, and was told "that happens". I then asked plainly, "So you have submitted it?", and was told yes without hesitation. I then called my insurance, who couldn't see anything submitted, then while we were talking the insurance representative said, "Wait, it looks like it was just freshly submitted, like within the last minute".  Whether that was negligence or willful misconduct I decided to call and give them one more chance. After telling their office manager the story I was met with the response, "Well she would never do that", followed by defensiveness and excuses. The fact that the first words were not an apology or even a neutral response makes me question this entire practice. This should have never happened in any sort of medical office when dealing with anyone, but to have two negative experiences makes me think this is a cultural problem.

My partner went in only for consultation and has dental procedure trauma. I was there for support, if needed. In the packet they include detailed pre/post op instructions, and opioid handouts. If someone is coming in only for a consultation is it truly necessary to receive those immediately upon checking in? It can great unnecessary anxiety and panic. On top of the team being 30 mins late, pop music blasting, and my partners worst fear in a packet on her lap. I had to say something. Front desk is kind, but when asked about the packet, and the wait.. they stared with glossed over eyes and cold tone. To be fair, not their fault... Please be mindful, not every patient is the same. Some have anxiety/trauma and your set-up is not conducive to that. Consider reviewing the check-in docs maybe? I'd just recommend providing those documents during the appointment itself! I had a total of 3 appointments with her (1 for a consultation, 1 for the procedure, and 1 for follow up). Each time her receptionist was accommodating in scheduling my appointments and even more accommodating when they needed to reschedule due to the snow storms back in December. After my procedure, Dr. Cheng even called me herself to see how I was doing. Her assistants were also helpful in answering my questions after the procedure over the phone. Came here at the recommendation of my dentist to get some gum graft surgery. I didn't need to wait…read morelong, and they were pretty flexible with scheduling. When I came in Dr. Matsumoto took a quick look at my teeth then thoroughly explained the various different options, and the pros and cons of each. He was very thorough with explaining all the risks involved and the expectations I should have with the gum graft shrinking a bit afterwards. He was very polite, friendly, and conversational. Dr Yorita was recommended by my longtime dentist when shopping for braces for my nephew in 2014; we visited several orthodontists. The decision was clear, and nephew had great outcome and a price better than the competition. When I got remedial braces in 2018 (wear your retainers, kids!!), Dr Yorita fixed my bottom teeth in a year and made retainers both top and bottom teeth.
