One of my favorite spots to sit and enjoy the beautiful sights of Perkins cove! An iconic landmark for about 80 years and a big phot spot! A super loud ring system will alert everyone that it's about to rise up and allow boats in or out. This small but adorable bridge is very popular. Looks like Maine :) great place to sit and relax, so much to watch the fisherman and boaters nearby.

One of the cutest villages to visit on the coast of Maine. A stop here is required on every visit we make in Maine.

You'll find Perkins Cove Draw Bridge in the idyllic village of Perkins Cove in Ogunquit with lobster boats looming around smack bang in the center of it all. The draw bridge is small. It's cute and has Maine written all over it. Even if you don't do anything else, from the bridge, you can see the waterfront mom-and-pop shops and restaurants snug on this side of sleepy Ogunquit. Since I love quaint seaside towns, hubs and I would first take it all in then head for dinner nearby. The bridge has a loud ring warning system in place alerting folks when the draw span is about to rise. There was a false alarm one morning when one of the lobster guys pressed the signal for his boat to pass by and changed his mind last minute. Coincidentally, a couple waiting and desperate for the span to lower, also pressed the signal ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Dude...take a chill or use the side road! But listen, even if you aren't staying in the immediate area, this drawbridge is worth a visit.

Perfect spot for pictures of Perkins Cove. The bridge opened multiple times and let sailboats pass through. The bridge is for pedestrians only, so climbing stairs is required before crossing it. Take your camera and get some beautiful pics of the boats anchored in the cove.

This parking? It's for lobsterman only.

You can also park in Ogunquit, and walk "The Marginal Way" along the ocean cliffs, all the way down to Petkins Cove.

Because it's an older theater, their solution to a smaller parking lot is to have everyone park in a long row, and they make you pull up so that you're bumper to bumper. If the cars in front of you hustle to the parking lot, it's fine. If they don't, you're stuck until they show up as the cars park so close you can't even get out. I don't love that, but there is nowhere else around to park nearby. The lobby is pretty small and gets very crowded before the doors open. There are snacks and souvenirs for purchase. They don't have a bag check, so I brought my own water, which was great. The theater itself is small and cozy, so most seats will have a good view. I saw Come from Away and was definitely seated closer and more affordably than I could have been in a NYC venue. The performers were all very talented - this isn't just some locals who got on stage. The warned many, many times there was no intermission, and they wouldn't let you back in if you needed to use the restroom, which seemed a bit extreme. There were a lot of other good shows in the upcoming season, so if you are from nearby or staying in the area, it's worth checking out what's on stage. It's a good experience at a good price.

From the famous Portland Head Lighthouse to off the beaten path locations that no tourist ever attended, he found spots to take gorgeous photos and videos. Although the weather on the day we visited was overcast, Norm even planned for those weather contingencies and had multiple locations ready for us to film from. He helped to structure the tour so that lighting was best for the specific shot. Prior to our tour, Norm had also location scouted a variety of different locations so that he could recommend specific spots from which to film rather than us wasting time looking for a spot to shoot from. Norm was also extremely hospitable and friendly and epitomized Maine hospitality. Norm and his company have the flexibility to cater the tour to your exact specifications: You want local only food places for foodies; you want a tour in Cantonese or Portuguese; You want a tour of all lighthouses -- nothing was a problem. Norm also took us to a local restaurant that had some of the best clam chowder in the east coast, and the absolute best lemon mascarpone cheesecake that I have ever tasted in my life. Thank you Norm. We would never do Maine without first booking a tour with you.

He was so much fun, but moreso, very knowledgeable about the city, restaurants, and some of the historical landmarks. he was a very personable guy and you need that type of a personality on a 2 hour walk. It was one of the best parts about our trip to Portland. We were able to try some great local food and drinks and learn so much about a fantastic city! We will definitely be back. Jason was fantastic and we highly recommend asking for him through Maine Day Ventures! you won't be disappointed!
