After all, it was only slightly after 7 am and she seemed like she had just got done conquering the world and was eagerly awaiting round 2. Anyways, Dixon's was the place I went to get my last morning cup of coffee from on my recent trip to Rapid City and it did not disappoint. The golden milk with the added shot of espresso was very good and incredibly soothing. Just what I needed too, since I think something in the air on all those hikes was starting to affect me. This coffee shop is the type that has a window on each side where you can order from. On this morning there was a nice lady working the window and we ordered 2 - 12 oz Americanos as well as a 24 oz Americano for myself. After waiting a bit for the coffee to cool, I was finally able to try it. The coffee here didn't impress me much. While it wasn't bad, it also wasn't a flavor that suited me. I will say that it was a bit on the lighter side and smooth without any bitterness. The bottom line for me is that I probably would not head back here again in the future. While there was nothing wrong with the coffee per se, it just wasn't for me.
