iFoods group's most successful restaurant brand has finally made its way to McKinley Hill. Replacing Tokyo Cafe a restaurant that needs to reevaluate its identity and personality. Peri Peri honestly on average is a 3.7-4.0 restaurant, so having to rate it below that seems off, but for a good reason.
Their pricing is attractive with their baseline 1/4 Chicken with a choice side starts at only 180 pesos, which they named "Bahia". It's a notch above fast-food, so its of relative value. If only it could be served in a better condition, our pictures are evidence of a not so appetising meal. Looking beyond that, it's a well roasted chicken sided with 3 kinds of sauce, all respectable in taste, it really adds value to the overall package, something we'd return for.
DRINKS 3.0
Unless you ordered bottle drinks then this place will sorely disappoint. To be fair it's not bad, just si underwhelming. Chocolate milkshake was watered down. Mango shake was more like flavoured ice rather than a fruit shake.
Overall, a good experience that could have been better. Peri Peri despite its set backs is still something we'd recommend in Venice as of August 2016, since very few establishments in the vicinity impress us.
The staff were having difficulty handling the endless stream of diners, compromising the same aspect of our experience, the billing. Once again we had to wait for our bill for a longer than necessary time, after calling to attention the waiters 3 times. A group of businessmen on an adjacent table could bear waiting stood by the counter waiting for 5 minutes for there bill to be transacted, while the waiters were racing to get other tables and awkwardly attending to some ahead of the already pending customers. read more
