This was a pleasant discovery when the hubby had a company activity in Seda Hotel Nuvali. We were…read morein search for a new restaurant to try and Caldo in the Fiesta Mall was the first to catch our eye. It's perfect as we had our fur babies with us and they have outside seating. Browsing the menu, you can get a feel that it has been well though of They have a good selection of vegetables and meat dishes. They all looked so good that it was hard to settle with just a few. We started out with some appetizers in the fashion of Filipino street food with the gambas+longanisa and satay sampler. But even prior to that, we were given bread with pate while waiting for our orders. We couldn't decide on what to order so we got both the chicken and chorizo rice and garlic aligue rice with chicharron. We matched these with the grilled beef belly and ox tail and trip kare kare. As if these were not enough, we also sampled the paksiw na boneless bangus belly with roasted coconut. Unlike the traditional paksiw with the more prominent sour taste of the vinegar, I liked this better because the coconut added some sweetness to it. Because we loved it so much and we didn't get to taste the pork belly, we came back for a second time. We again had the same set of rice, but this time we made sure we had the roast pork belly with tamarind rub. we were not able to try it the first time as we were too early. Apparently it takes a lot of time to prepare and does not get available until after noon. We also had the laing con alamang fresco. I like laing and this, I love. It can be on the expensive side. But the portions are adequate. This is now a favorite spot for me and the hubby
