On my view, Juan is either overworked or not disciplined as his communications are typically slow or very late. For example, I got a text from him at 10:30pm letting me know a project would be started in the morning. I have numerous examples of his late responses. Tomas (of the Galindo family) arrived on the property at 7:30am to re-stain a pergola and fence. His work was outstanding and very conscientious. He took down hanging baskets and artwork from all over the pergola and put them back in place. His staining work was excellent. The pricing was fair. Juan provided a written invoice prior to the work. We will continue to work with them as the workmen are top notch. As a new business owner, Juan has a lot to learn in effective communication. A complete remodel with 2 retaining walls, new irrigation, sod, zero-scaping, a flagstone patio, hot tub, rebuilt deck, pergola, kitchenette, bar top, and electrical. Andy did an excellent job managing the project, paying attention to detail, and staying as close to schedule as possible. He gave us sufficient time after the job was complete to test the final product, make fixes, etc., before taking full payment. He went above and beyond to make sure to stay within budget and give us a beautiful final product. Before going with Andy we got quotes from 2 other landscapers. Rockview Landscaping's quote was in the middle. We didn't go with the cheapest option because Andy felt more trustworthy and willing to stay close to our vision. Additionally, the cheapest quote came from a larger national landscaping firm. It felt impersonal. We wanted to help a local business instead. The pictures speak for themselves. We included some before pictures as well so you can see how awful our backyard used to be, and how complete the remodel is. The slope in our backyard was very steep, making the lawn space completely unusable. The deck was rotting and painted over with an ugly green color. We cannot believe how much flat lawn space we have now, and the patio, hot tub, deck layout is beautiful and functional.

Shawn took time to fully understand what our vision was for our new patio. In addition he made some additional great subtle suggestions that complimented our vision. He also addressed and considered some of our permeability concerns. He provided a layout rendition drawing of how it would look and followed up with a competitive quote. What was really pleasing and refreshing was that during the build, Shawn stopped by several times every week and monitored progress. If we were not at home he communicated by phone how things were going. Blazek provided licensed subcontractors to relocate irrigation pipes and heads, lay and connect the gas supply pipe to the outdoor grill and suggested and installed 'Color Edison' lights which allow you to alternate color through a Bluetooth connection. These lights were awesome and something we had not considered. It was all a one shop deal! If we consider any additional landscaping around our house we will definitely be consulting with Blazek.
