Parking is set up pretty well but can get full fast, if it's a sold out show. We got there a tad on the early side so that we can get a drink inside at their small beverage stand with beer, wine and some snacks, nothing special. Theater seating was perfect in terms of view of stage. Here is where it gets weird, in the middle of the show it started to get super hot, many people started to fan themselves with show programs, including me, I almost had to get out. I was able to make it through to the end but while leaving I noticed how narrow the exit was from theater to lobby, got a little claustrophobic and thought, if there was an emergency, it would be very hard to safely exit, in my opinion. All & All, next time I will dress light and sit near an exit. Loved this venue and plays they put on yearly.

The restaurant is separated into three distinct spaces. You enter into the middle room, which has some seating, a large pizza oven, several display cases of food and desserts and a coffee bar. Heading past the coffee bar into the left room, there is a modern space with bright natural light and a classy ambiance. This would be my choice for a fancy date or special occasion. It also seems less busy on that side, at least to me. Perfect for a lovely conversation in the company of someone fun. The room on the right is a little more dim, and has the appearance of a lounge. There is a bar with several whiskey bottles on display, and plentiful seating. When I visit the restaurant for lunch, this space often isn't used for seating so maybe it is dedicated for events or overflow. The prices are definitely very high. The bathrooms are clean and parking is very easy out front. This is definitely not a place that I would go unless it was for a nice occasion, but the service is outstanding and the food is really spectacular. I hear they have a back patio that is available seasonally and I can't wait to check it out soon!

I ended up getting the special which was the buttered noodles with truffle and the soup which was a minestrone. The noodles were good and the soup was decent as well but be forewarned a bit spicy. The arancini was 10/10 sooo good- a must buy! Unfortunately the service was not good at all. We had a male older server that was extremely rude. He cut us off while ordering and wouldn't allow us to order drinks and food at the same time... after spending $200+ in one dinner you have a certain expectation for service and that was missed. We asked if he would be willing to split the bill into two separate transactions (which he didn't want to do) and then made a comment about if we split the bill down the middle "it would have only made a $10 difference".

There is a major miss with this facility in bringing a warm and supportive environment for children. At Spotlight, my daughter feels both challenged and supported, and has a true sense of belonging there. All around win for me…read more Tyler, the director of Post5 has made a sound effort to create a company and space that are an alternative to the standard Shakespeare theatre world. They started with a dream of something different and they have achieved something grand! Some of the plays hit home in their own ways but more and more they all are reaching something tangible in your emotional response. The first of last summer was fun and a bit heavier whilst this last one, "comedy of errors" was a light and cheering story true to the original but taking all of those things we love and hate about our city to laugh at together. It was pure genius. So proud to be connected to that world and support it! The space is warm in the summer so bring something to fan yourself with. They provide ice cold water bottles at times and apologetic smiles for the heat but the shows are well worth the small suffering. It's a charming quirky church anex that not only allows such tomfoolery as shakespeare but even a drag show after our first experience! The lovely Isis or Chip depending on his role is absolute brilliance in any role they cast him for. And thus far 2016 has proven to produce some amazing works already! There were moments that put me into deep thought and anticipation, then moments later I was laughing my ass off! Very well done. We went to the Old Spaghetti Factory on South Waterfront. The location was beautiful for date night. Loved about it: It was nice to get into the character and be on the set of a real life clue game. Loved how we everyone was dressed for the Masquerade Billionaire Club Ball. It really added to the whole ambience. People actually got into character! Loved to see how everyone acted and showed emotions. Drawbacks: The people on our table were a little shy (on their 2nd/3rd date) and weren't participating as much so that was a drawback for us. Food was so/so but again we were there for the experience and not the food and that is where I took away a star. They were a little loose with the directions with what to do with money or who should respond how. Now we are looking forward to next time because we know what to do. They took mugshots in the beginning and during the event and promised to send us the link to the pictures via email. We never got them :( take your own pictures! Tips: Its all about the guests! A True Local Gem Worth Supporting!…read more In my quest to support local small businesses, I've driven past Joy Cinema many times while heading down 99W toward Tigard -- always thinking, "I really need to stop in one of these days." Fast forward to the 40th anniversary showing of Back to the Future, and I finally did it! Sure, I could have gone to one of the big movie chains nearby, but I wanted to support a locally owned theater -- and I'm so glad I did. While Joy Cinema doesn't have its own parking lot, there's plenty of parking in the shopping center just behind it. The lobby is small but welcoming, and you'll likely be greeted by the owner himself -- who runs everything from ticket sales to concessions to the movie projector. It truly feels like a one-man show, and that personal touch makes the experience so special. Plus, the prices for both tickets and snacks are refreshingly affordable compared to the big chains. The theater itself has one large screening room, and it's impressive -- spacious, comfy seats, great surround sound, and a large screen that makes for a perfect movie experience. They don't drown you in endless previews, just a couple quick ones before the feature starts. I also appreciate some of the fun movie history and facts they presented prior to the screening. I also appreciated that they have clearly marked spots for wheelchairs in prime viewing areas -- a thoughtful touch that shows care for accessibility. Unfortunately, one rude family arrived late, talking loudly and even letting their kids run around, which disrupted the movie for a bit. The owner handled it as best as anyone could -- even stepping in multiple times to address the situation. It's tough when guests behave poorly, but I really admired how he tried to keep things under control while protecting his business. After the show, the owner greeted us again and asked how we enjoyed the movie -- that kind of personal connection is rare these days. I'll absolutely be back to Joy Cinema. It's a local treasure run by someone who truly cares about movies and the community. If you're in the area and want to enjoy a film while supporting a small business, skip the big chains and check this place out!

If you choose to stay to watch your dancer in class, you must view from the windows OUTSIDE of the building. (If weather permits of course. Their normal protocol is for you to just drop your dancer off.) 2. Limited parking 3. If your dancer is in a 3-6yr old class- if one dancer has to use the potty, the whole class has to go. The teacher is responsible to take the little ones to use the restroom. I enrolled my 3yr old in one of their classes and was surprised by their lack of accommodations, especially having come from another established studio out of state. I also have a 1yr old that I have to bring with me and watching my 3yr dance from the parking lot was not safe for my little one. I also thought their potty protocol was frustrating because of the time (15min) it took away from class and having a stranger tend to my daughter using the potty did not sit well with me. To each their own. Just leaving this info for other mamas who are looking to enroll their younger dancers. 2 stars because they do not reply to emails and voice mails and for the lack of info on their website.
