My first thought upon seeing the prices was "shoot, that's a little pricey."
My first thought after seeing the show was "HOW do these guys make a profit?"
It really is something phenomenal. By the time you start doing the math on the cost of the tent, staff, space rental etc. you start wondering what it must cost just to keep this thing running for an evening. THEN you realize how insanely long it must take to train, feed, and stable all these horses, and how much staff it must take to do so.
And man, does it pay off. I've seen a show or two in my time, and this is up there with some of the best that you'd pay top dollar for in Vegas. Truly spectacular set pieces, lighting, live music, and - of course - the horses. With no perceivable cue from a trainer, they run the most intricate patterns in time to the music. Everything is timed exquisitely. The stunts and acrobatics are nothing short of impressive.
While I had prime seating, one thing that I noted was how there is not a bad seat in the house. Initially I was skeptical if I would want to pay for a ticket at all if it was in the nose bleeds or blocked by a tent pole, but after seeing the venue - you couldn't go wrong with even the cheap seats. Nothing is that far away, the set is huge, and all the seats are worthwhile.
That said, if you spring for the VIP, you won't be disappointed. Where some VIP experiences are a tacked on money grab with questionable added value, they really go all out on the VIP treatment here. An entire VIP tent with a great lounge area, great catered food, dessert, open bar, complimentary popcorn, and a stable tour (no petting of the animals, but you can see them up close and talk to some of the staff). The seats provided with the VIP are absolutely superb as well.
All in all, a well worthwhile experience. If you're wondering if this show is the real deal like I was, let me assure you: it's the real deal and worth the price of admission (and probably more). read more
