I was assigned to Dr. Naei who is great! She's friendly, she asks questions, she explains things and she even answers questions too. (Dr. Naei's assistant - forgot her name - was great too) .. I've seen her a handful of times and he's always the same way. The first time I saw her she did tell me they sold orthotics there so I decided to buy them since I figured they'd hold up longer and fit better than any I could buy at CVS, and they have and they do! I have really bad arthritis in my lower back so foot pain has been an issue with me for long time and I do notice a difference between wearing them and not. I called last week b/c I totally overslept and they were great about letting me get there 15 mins late that day. Everyone I've dealt with at the front desk has been great. My insurance covers my appointments so/and I've never had an issue with billing.

This University Foot and Ankle Institute is located in Santa Monica. I parked on a side street and the meter was set for an hour. Ample time I thought. I was wrong. When I arrived the waiting room was full and waiting time before I was seen was 45 minutes. While waiting I filled out many documents. Two questions upset me: What was my race and what city and country was I born? Irrelevant and frankly insulting. I am a naturalized U.S. American citizen, white, non Hispanic. How is this information important to my being treated? I saw Dr Hoda Naei. I found her professional yet cold and insensitive. I received two shots each on top of my big toes that hurt so badly I screamed loudly and sobbed in pain. I was sure someone would check to see if I were ok. Nope. No one came in and my distress reaction was met with silent indifference. Needless to say I was late returning to my car but luckily I did not receive a parking ticket.

They accept Medicare and most other insurances. I have been a patient for nearly 30 years and have referred many friends to his office. He not only gives you far more time than you'd expect from a doctor these days, that time is filled with clear, sound intelligence and a great deal of compassion. In every visit I've had with him, he went above & beyond - including analyzing foot x-rays (via text message) I had taken in the UK while my foot was healing. Yes, the office is filled with doggies. They bark when you arrive, but ultimately are quiet big furry babies. If you have problems with dogs, take that into consideration. But I had no problem whatsoever. The office staff and his assistants are efficient and respectful. If you want a big, shiny ultra modern Doctor's office, this isn't the place. It's the coziest doctor's office I've ever seen in LA/Santa Monica. But the advice is sound, the follow-up is superb and he truly cares about his patients. If anyone I loved needed a foot doctor, I would (gently) march them to Dr. Dan. They'll ultimately leave dancing in the aisles.

He was professional, compassionate, empathetic, and without a doubt the kindest doctor we have ever met. Before surgery, Dr. Little took the time to listen, explain, and treat my son with genuine care and respect, which meant so much to both of us. He updated us every step of the way--even personally texting us--which, as a parent, put my mind completely at ease. If you are considering Dr. Little, look no further--you will have no regrets. His kindness and dedication are rare, and we are so grateful for the outstanding care he provided.

Could it be that in tiny type at the top of my check-in sheet there was the name of a woman's name that was not mine? The two desk people decided that it might be the cause. "Could you please tell the doctor that I've been waiting out here?" "We don't go in there." "Can you call him?" "No, we can't." "Why not?" They both looked down at the floor. I went in there and introduced myself. I told the doctor that I needed full-length orthotics with padding. He measured my feet and while bending over seemed to be in so much pain that I asked if he were okay. I explained the trouble I was having with my feet and he assured me that the orthotics would take care of it. On the way out, I was told that I would get a call when they were ready to set up a second appointment because orthotics always involved a fitting. Good idea. The call told me to come in and pick up the orthotics. There was to be no appointment. I was handed a bag. The orthotics were half-length with no padding. I told the woman that they were not mine. Could they belong to the woman whose name was at the top of my form? I found her name listed at a local private school and left a message that perhaps she had mine... No answer. I left four messages to speak with the doctor. Ultimately I was informed that the doctor did not call his patients and to not expect a call. Really? I called Cedars. The bill was cut in half. I called again. Weeks went by. Finally the bill went down from $500 to zero, but never an explanation. I had to take back the useless orthotics and sign some form. My 4th trip. My 4th parking charge. Tread carefully.

He sent pattern to KevinRoot. They fit poorly and caused much more pain and actually created a new callous. He then told me to go to "see Kevin". I had no reason to make any connection with what I just received. Out of my insurance plan but I needed help. Meeting Kevin, he was very pleasant and seemed to be quite knowledgeable. Made a mold and few weeks later I was able to try. They were not comfortable at all and Kevin was notified. He made some notes and back they went. The "replacement" orthotics were mailed to me. No office visit or contact this time. Tried them again and walked about 10 feet. Very painful and I felt a rip in my forward arch. It was apparent that KevinRoot was not able to construct or modify the device through the mail and that my time allocated was up. I already paid his asking price. When I finally gave up on them helping I let Kevin know. No response. I had to start using other orthotics. This was not a small amount of money wasted and now left with a horrible arch pain that was not there previously. It took two tries to remove the callous and several ultra sound treatments and visits that have not provided any arch pain relief. EVERY step hurts. It wakes me up nightly. This started more than a year ago! THIS PROBLEM DID NOT EXIST UNTIL I SAW KEVIN. If you choose to go this route, I wish you the best. In my case I cannot recommend at all.
