Phillip, the owner, was terrific. I was having my roof replaced along with interior remodeling due to hail damage and roof leaks. Phillip was easy to work with and responded quickly to my calls or messages. I had roofers, gutter installers, and indoor remodelers. They worked with me to ensure that I could access necessary sections of the home during the process and were receptive to my comments, suggestions, and questions. Phillip was insistent that I be completely satisfied before final payment. As often is the case there are small "punch" list items to resolve and Philco took care of all issues without question. Strongly not recommending to anyone! Providence Roofing replaced my roof at August 2025. They…read morefailed to install step flashing underneath the dormer where the roof transition to wall. They also installed the ridge cap/vent inproperly on the the front right dormer. and there are more issues that i dont even want to list here. Providence knows exactly what they did - I had a hole in my roof caused by craftmanship defect. They refused to to fix it. Then the rain came, and water poured straight through that hole. I had to call another roofer for emergency mitigation, and I explained what happened. That roofer contacted Providence, and only then did Providence come back out to "fix" the problem they caused. Guess what? They fixed the problems that were visible, but they did NOT fix the actual roof hole or the underlying workmanship defects. They only stopped the water temporarily, without addressing the real issue. The structural vulerability remained, the decking was still comromised, and the original installtion errors were still sitting under their path job. Run!!!

However, I thought it necessary to give Matt at Evergreen a big shout-out for his estimate process on 9/11/18 for several highlighted reasons: 1) Aside from the roofer we went with, Matt was the only other one who investigated the leak from the inside. I had offered the same option to the first 2 companies who gave estimates, & even to the insurance company's roof inspector, but all declined. Plus, Matt asked about looking at the interior of the leak area before I even advised of the crawlspace option. 2) Matt only sold me on fixing just the leaky area and resulting rot, rather than re-flashing the whole roof line, which had been the go-to (and more expensive) fix thrown out by others. 3) Matt was generous enough to throw together a makeshift patch while he was there, since Hurricane Florence was approaching that weekend and we weren't going to be able to get the leak fixed ahead of the storm. 4) Above all, Matt was nice and respectful, and gave off a very trustworthy vibe just from a few minutes of interaction. A re-read of his other reviews showed many experiences similar to mine with above & beyond work, but without overselling or fixing unnecessary things. Are they going to clean up after themselves ? No worries with this company they were finished in one day, had two downpours no leaks !!!
