Grover weighed and told me there was 400.00 in gold and he even tested it and it came out 13 KT gold all in all it was worth 800.00 now that wasn't what was advertised on eBay so I did the smart thing and got my refund Grover told me he has tennis bracelets and at my price range I told him the stones had to be at least VS or better he told he would do just that. He combed over the amp tooth and nail, and finally solved the problem for me, a problem that turned out to be not so much a broken component (my guess) as operator error, a change-over from an active to passive guitar, and the need for a suitable pre-amp to boost the signal . It took a lot of testing and reading of manuals and schematics, before Sean figured out what was going on. He went so far as to compare my sound-levels with those of other amps in the stores and he was quite patient and thorough in every regard. I made several trips to the store, and became acquainted with three key people there, all of whom were very nice, and I got a feeling for their special niche in the music world, which is the supplying of sound systems and various components, whether for rentals-out or for purchase. They keep a fair supply of guitar needs and are happy to order anything you might want at a fair price. Though Guitar Center and places like Kolacny's and Flesher-Hinton all have their place, I'll always begin by shopping here because of their patience and kindness. I went to Jay to see if he could lower the action (the height of the strings) a little bit in order to make it easier for my hands since I am used to very low action guitars. It was a still a little high to my hands after the initial set up but Jay dialed it in for me and now it plays amazing. I would definitely come back to Jay for any other work on my guitar. Jay was flexible and accommodating with days and times. After dropping the guitar off on Monday, I got the guitar back on Wednesday in time for my shows. Communication was very good as well. Not only does my violin sound better than it ever has, it's easier to play too. They also did some cosmetic work, and it really does look much nicer. When we went to pick the violin up, we returned our rental and we were greeted with an opportunity to go to a practice room and test it out. Everyone was extremely kind and helpful, and I could really tell that they cared about my satisfaction with the repair. They also gave me great care advice when I asked. I'm so thrilled to have my violin sound so nice and for it to be so well taken care of. For any string instrument repair, I would extremely highly recommend. I am sure their lessons are top notch too, though I haven't experienced for myself.
