I had a sharp sciatic pain down my leg and in my foot most of the time. I couldn't stand for more than a minute or two. I needed a cane to walk more than 10 feet. That's changed now. I was diagnosed with three degraded spinal disks. The PerformanceOrtho group were great to work with. They took the time to do a thorough investigation and prepared a comprehensive plan to address my condition. My treatment involved physical therapy and pain management treatments and medication. After a 4 months my pain has reduced dramatically. I'm not pain-free but I no longer have stabbing leg pains and I can walk long distances without a cane. I wake up with a backache every morning (as if I slept on a rock) but goes away after I do my exercises; and sometimes I feel like my foot has fallen asleep for a minute or two, but that's it. I still have more invasive options should I need to go that route but as of now I don't feel I need to. Considering I still have 3 degraded disks and that I do not need the pain medications anymore I think my condition is much improved. All the people there, Drs. Perez & Tabije, Yoonie and the PT group I worked with really took good care of me. I had to work hard to get where I am (and so will you) but I'm very pleased with the results. This place has changed in the last few years. The appointments are rushed and University Radiology is useless.....booking at least three weeks out. There is one girl at the front desk whose name begins with a T who needs to learn some manners and to not hang up when a patient is still talking....disappointing. A couple of bullet points to summarize my recent experience at Performance Rehab in Branchburg: -People seem happy and are caring, from the phone receptionist to the doctors. They took their time to explain things to me with no rush at all. I had a terrible lower back pain and they squeezed me in on short notice. -Doctor's knowledge. There is a reason I am not a doctor, so I do not fully understand all the lingo. Dr. Anthony Piccillo was extremely helpful and patient in explaining things. Dr. Kevin Tabije was equally excellent. This visit was nothing like the ones I do with my primary care physician. Half the time, they don't know anything, and the other half they recite the same thing they have to the other 30 patients they see each day. I guess I never expected a clinic like this. First, let me start by saying that I thought that physical therapy was total BS. I have now been treated by Performance Rehabilitation for various injuries for my hand, elbow, both knees. The staff members at the Branchburg location are amazing. Especially CK is one the most amazing therapists, she has been treating me with such care, she makes me feel like a friend. I have been coming to the Branchburg office since June. The team is very well integrated and listen to your concerns and needs. The docs listen and work with me to try and get the best results from my very complicated case. My OT partners Christine and Adriana are the best. And the assistants working me thru my exercises also Rick, Sasha, Lea, Mike... The front desk is also amazing navigating the complex appointment schedules. I have been going to PRRM for about two months now for neck and hip pain, and I am feeling much better, with much less pain and better range of motion. The medical doctors, chiropractors, physical therapists, and other personnel are all very friendly and all seem very knowledgeable and dedicated to helping people. This is a great place to be treated. Both the staff and facility are outstanding. The staff takes the time to hear your concerns and your hopes to get back at what you love to do and the facility is set up to do everything you need. Scheduling has been relatively easy and there is a great energy in the place. This Branchburg NJ Performance Rehab office charges people for an infomercial-paid Exam to try to upsell you on a $3500 USD paid in full program. After they charge about $150 for the exam and during this they don't even tell you exactly what's wrong with you and then they say that will do a free ultrasound at the next visit but when you try to arrange that then they changed/lost their minds (integrity) and say they won't do the ultrasound for Free so person must pay $3500USD for that "Free ultrasound!" They simply want the $3500 USD to fix you. But how could anyone have faith in a program where they won't fully Tell you where your pain stems from and expect you to pay $3500 and commit to their 2-3 day weekly program. It smells like a scam--an expensive infomercial, which ought to have been for Free because no treatment of any kind is ever done until you give them $3500 plus the exam fee! There's a reason why offices charge per visit opposed to a large upfront fee! They lost credibility because I requested a way to heal and they said via phone that yes, they do it --simply to get people in their new location for a Paid exam when all I need to do is follow specific prescribed doctor's directive via shared MRIs but then even with all that, they can't fully share their assessment nor a treatment plan--all because they want 3500 plus the exam fee for someone to "take a gamble".
