i have been working with this clinic since early in the year. sleep clinics are not known for the…read moredepth and clarity of their communication skills. this one is also short in that dept. but i have stuck with them because they are nearer to where i live and Dr. Ragu is earnest and persistent about sorting out the source of my inadequate sleep. something of note for all medicare patients: cpap devices are under a special trial and rental program which gives the physician time to make appropriate adjustments in the patient equipment and treatment and makes the equipment quite inexpensive by the end of the process. i had great difficulty with this part of the process. my trust in the process was very low. there were no attempts to explain it. Just trust us, basically. well that doesn't work well. this treatment belongs to me. until i searched the details, i was working in the dark. this process should, in end, get me to a well targeted treatment plan and the right equipment for my apneas. it took a while for me to come to this understanding. while the process is not perfect or totally wonderful, I would recommend Dr. Raguram's persistence and commitment to one's treatment. five stars for never giving up. five stars for being firmly encouraging even though his patient is very skeptical of the whole thing. for us patients information can be your friend here. sleep problems are hard to understand. ask questions. be persistent yourself. this is your treatment. your health will be improved if you can sleep well every night.

I was initially happy with Dr. Raghuram's availability and his expertise. I was less satisfied with…read morethe information portal for Vancouver Sleep Center and had given them a 4 star review based on that. My opinion has changed, based on his unprofessional bedside manner. The good: He is a knowledgeable sleep doctor. You can get an appointment with him sooner than other local clinics, including availability of a home sleep test much faster. The unacceptable: I've been struggling with restless leg, for which he diagnosed Gabapentin, which is the standard recognized treatment. No problem there. But after 9 days on it, I felt too sedated. My mood was flat, and I felt sleepy all of the time. I informed him that I was discontinuing the medication via a message to his internal portal. I also informed him that I had looked up optional measures I might take in an AI chat and asked for an appointment with him to get his professional opinion. His response? Crickets. I posted another message on the portal, asking if he had seen my earlier message. No response. I contacted his office manager by phone, who said he would follow up. No response. I posted another message on the portal informing him that I don't consider an AI chat to be medical advice, which was why I wanted an appointment. No response. I cancelled the appointment I had set up months after first trying Gabapentin as a follow-up, because refusing to respond to a patient concern after two months of trying is unprofessional. I have transferred my care to the Vancouver Clinic, where Dr. Hong understands that I may seek self-help options to discuss with him and that I rely on him for medical advice. Really, this isn't that hard.

First off, I'd like to address the negative reviews here. Let's just start by pointing out that…read morethe individuals that left negative reviews are based in places OTHER THAN Washington. How are people from AZ and TX and OR states even leaving reviews on a WA based pediatric clinician? Are we to believe that they came in town, scheduled an appointment for their child (of which you'll also note that none of them stated anything about any care that Scott Miller, PA, gave to anyone...) and then they just left a review all stating that he's a "terrible person" (wow... they DEFINITELY do NOT know him at all if THAT's what they are calling him) and that he's losing his license. Sheesh people. Hope no one is foolish enough to give those yahoos a 2nd thought! PA Miller (yes, this is true- he's not a Dr... but let's just chalk that up to the fact that people simply call him "Dr" because he's their pediatric clinician and they are used to just calling the "medical people in charge" "Doctors". We also hear Dentist offices calling their Dentist "Dr. Soandso"... and our opthamologist is called "the Doctor" by their staff... it's a cultural thing whether you like it or not. I, personally, as an RN, don't like calling Dentists, NP's, PA's, or any other person "Dr" unless they went to med school. But I am not about to go online and bully someone because other people are calling them "Dr Miller". Anywho... tangent...) PA Miller is awesome. He is one of the most caring medical professionals I've ever met. When you talk about bedside manner, his name should come up. He's great. He's willing to think outside the box and give multiple options for your pediatric healthcare needs. When most Dr's would just look in your kids ears, give you a prescription for antibiotics, and send you on your way, he would do all that and then talk to you more about the history of your child's infections... go in to possible reasons or causes for the infections... evaluate the possible need for follow up care with an ENT or allergist... He just goes a step further than most, and as a parent and a health care professional myself, I appreciate that SO much! For those looking for an amazing Clinician, PA Miller is an outstanding man that truly cares about your kids and their health. His license is under review, yes. But only because he stood up for what he believed to be the right thing for his patients. Since when do we punish people for doing that? I hope he gets cleared soon. And I hope people read between the lines in the reviews here, because he is a really really really good health care provider for pediatrics, and we need all of those we can get!

AVOID. Terrible experience, would not recommend. Also - Just found out this guy is literally about…read moreto lose his license. Do NOT go to him. He's been investigated for lying about his credentials since 2014, and now he's lost his license for being a terrible person. Not to mention a terrible physician's Assistant. Literally go ANYWHERE else Also: he's NOT a doctor, like some other reviewers mistakenly call him. In fact he's not even a PA because his license is suspended!

Like many other reviews have already mentioned, it's impossible to call and get through to speak…read morewith someone in person. If I can't get through tomorrow, I'll go directly to the store. The sooner I can "finally" find out my account status with Sleep Technologies, and know that I am free-and-clear of any financial obligations, I will close my account and never do business with them again. I am also going to strongly encourage my health care provider to NOT recommend sending their patients to Sleep Technologies for services of any kind. Their lack of responsiveness and terrible/fraudulent business practices needs to continue to be called-out and if they don't change their manner of conducting business, they no longer deserve to continue do so. When you charge a patient (and their insurance) the cost of a complete headgear package (AirFit P30i Starter Pack @ $206.58 with all the parts and pieces included -- which can be purchased directly from ResMed for only $121.00) and on that same invoice -- recharge again for all of the individual parts and pieces that were already included in headgear package, then fail to provide those extra individual parts and pieces that were paid for, that's called FRAUD and THEFT. The means by which I caught Sleep Technologies in this scam was by checking my EOB against their billing invoice. I was over billed total of $182.24 -- $11.39 (the amount I paid) + $170.85 (the amount my insurance/Medicare paid). The total cost of what should have been a single $121.00 headgear package, ended-up costing $388.82 through Sleep Technologies. Since people rarely, if ever, go through this checking process Sleep Technologies has most likely been getting away with this scam for years. And if they are doing this with all their patients, I can only imagine that this fraudulent means of conducting business has potentially cost patients and insurances thousands of dollars over the years (and that's with headgear sales alone). It would behove the Washington State Insurance Commission to investigate and conduct an extensive audit into Sleep Technologies, which is what I am recommending that they do.
