I…read morewaited from March 2026 till September 2026 for a basic wheelchair with a power assist from Norco. The power assist is on back order. Finally got called to pick up just the wheelchair with out the power assist and sadly the wheelchair was the wrong color, had lots of unwanted add ons and it was damaged and dented in transit to Norco. A new $16,000 wheelchair! I left that wheelchair and headache of a company behind and called the folks at MSHH Donor Closet. They actually answered the phone and answered my questions. The next weekend I went to visit them. I didn't expect to actually find what I needed. I was warmly greeted immediately. Three different volunteers offered to help me. In 15 minutes flat I had a suitable manual wheelchair in a nice brand for only $85.00. A great volunteer who is a physical therapist named Scott even fitted me and adjusted the brakes on my second hand but new to me wheelchair. I took my new wheels and with my husband acting as my power assist I went to the farmers market in Edmonds and to a Mall. Something I could not do all in the same day if I was walking. I have to start the process of getting a wheelchair with a power assist over with a different durable medical equipment supplier but at least now I have a wheelchair to tide me over. Fantastic rates compared to other places, and didn't have a one-month minimum (two-week minimum was fine), which was helpful since I'm nearly off my crutches. Though delivery and pickup are available, I (thankfully) didn't break my driving foot, so was able to go pick it up for a discounted rate. He let me look at two types of scooters and try them out a tiny bit. The scooter I picked was in great condition and easy to use, and fit in the back of my hatchback VW Golf just fine. And I zipped easily through the street fair. I hope to never need a knee scooter again, but if I do, I know just who to contact.

My insurance suddenly stopped paying for my hospital grade pump rental. Rather than blindly sending me an astronomical bill, PMSI called me personally and suggested I check with my insurance company to find out what went wrong. This was really helpful, and as it turned out - there was an error on my insurance's end, that needed to be escalated. Once this was resolved, there were no further issues. I think some of the poor reviews on here are not really fair - I saw one where they complained about having to deal with sales reps that don't speak English well - it merely means they speak more than 1 language, and English is not their native language... I think that's admirable - let's have a little more love and patience for people? I think it's great they hire individuals from all different backgrounds. When it comes to billing issues, this is always a sensitive topic, especially in healthcare. Often times it is a problem with your insurance plan, and those providing you with a service are stuck being the messenger (PMSI). It helps to stay calm and work through it together. They want to help you. Helen is very attentive and offers so much support for all the moms out there! I am really grateful for the experience I've had here. It's already so hard taking care of a baby.

I came to the Swedish Sleep Medicine sleep lab after two failed attempts with the at home sleep…read morestudy. I was not entirely sure what to expect, but overall this was a good experience! The employees are very kind and welcoming. The room is similar to a hotel room, with the exception of a camera watching you (above tv). I thought that would freak me out more than it actually did honestly. The bed is very comfortable - it's actually a sleep number bed! All the wires are uncomfortable, but that's to be expected. You also have to sleep on your back - at least try to! ;) I don't love all of the gunk stuck in my hair, but thankfully it should wash out easily. I'm home now and I have to say this was an overall great experience. I really appreciate the employee that worked with me. I didn't catch her name, but she is awesome. We had some really great conversations.

The sleep test I did is the worst experience. Before the sleep test, there were already two rounds…read moreof charged "visits" (virtual). One is with my physician in Swedish. The other one is with the physician (Morris Chang) in Swedish sleep medicine. Those two sessions are very simple question/answer sessions and basically the same in my opinion. Both of them charged me 400-500 dollars each for a useless session (very expensive and useless for a 30min-ish session). Why do we need 2 doctor visits for the very similar questions and charge the customer twice. And both of them are in Swedish (and doctor refers to another doctor in the same system so Swedish could charge you twice). Those online visits didn't get anywhere as I expected. They will always ask to do a sleep test. The test is delivered as an in-home test and they will charge you another 700 dollars. It's a very simple device you attach to your finger and chest. As an in-home test device, I expected some basic functionality from the device as "reset the test". But that device is designed not to give you this option so if for any reason you fail to complete the test (for example, in my case, I didn't have a full night sleep for the first night), there is no way you can to a reset and test again at home. You will need to bring the device back to Swedish and pay another 700 dollars to do another test. I don't think this is a fair situation for any patient especially I know the test I have done will not result in desired testing results. I asked to do another test without charging me again since the test is fulfilling its desired function. It should be considered as incomplete test. Plus, they don't tell you beforehand about all these (regardless your situation and testing result, as long as you take the device home once you will be charged once. They don't tell you what considered as a failed test, how long you need to sleep to consider a successful test...). I'm only expecting something very simple: "I had a bad night sleep. Can I reset this device to test again at home?" I don't believe there is any extra cost for such kind of ask. But if you assume that you will be treated as a normal patient and have your rights to do a re-test because a bad night sleep, you are wrong. They will use a ton of reasons as excuse to either get you into more expensive in-lab test or another separately billed in-home test. I'm not trying to be unreasonable as a patient. I told them that I will be easily satisfied with your expert decision if I believe the in-home test is delivered as expected (such as "I believe my last night sleep is a good one and the sleep data can be used for the test"). But in my case, I don't even believe the test is delivered in its desired form and obviously the process is set up to not even let patient to re-test in those situations (just to maximize Swedish profit). At this point I'm charged around 1500 dollars but just with an inconclusive test result. I think Swedish just lost a customer/patient forever. I will share this experience with all my colleagues and friends (and others on the internet) so they can avoid the same trap.
