In the three weeks that I've been here, we ended up not renting but buying a bed, getting a table, a safety pole and not going through Medicare. I can't believe that every person I worked with every time I called and asked questions was so helpful and informed and helped me navigate the process of choosing what would work for my mom and how to make it best for her situation. We ended up with a loaner bed until the purchased bed came in (ahead of schedule) and their team came into my mom's assisted living like pros to set up everything and were careful, helpful, positive and knowledgeable. I can't say that I have every worked with a company where they answer the phones, can answer my questions (the first time), give me alternatives for price and budget, place custom orders and arrive exactly when they say they will. I saw someone posted that they had trouble with the staff but I had no trouble, only very surprising success in this day and age of phone trees and being passed along to another person. One thing I will say is that we ended up not using Medicare and Bellevue Healthcare explained upfront that we should go elsewhere if we wanted to use Medicare. For the cost of the bed, table, and safety pole, we understood from the rehab where my mom was that it was better to purchase than deal with medicare. If you can't afford the rental of the bed or the cost of purchasing a bed, then you might want to follow up with a Medicare-affiliated provider. Otherwise, in total, we spent about $2800 and have a very good, long-term, safe set-up for my 87 year-old mom. If you're looking for model customer service, the women and men of Bellevue Healthcare have been great. Especially when it's a difficult situation of disability.

I wish we had read more reviews about service but I didn't expect it to be non existent. And I never expected to have problems with a scooter within the first year. They are less than 2 miles from my 86 year old fathers location and have no help to pick up the scooter, and want up front payment to order a part that should be under warranty. clearly we did not read enough about the warranty and service. They did not discuss it during the sales pitch of course. They should be embarrassed to be representing the healthcare service industry. I have never seen such disregard for elderly people as with this Lacey group. Keep shopping!

i was visiting my 93 year old father, who recently moved to the Edmonds Landing retirement home…read more Unfortunately, he had a stroke and has some mobility issues. My lovely brother, Tony bought him an expensive walker. Its a wonderful walker, however designed for a man much larger and more weight than my father. Being a former ergonomic consultant, I could tell that this walker was not suitable for my father. He could care less about my opinion. He just didn't like the expensive walker. I came over to visit him and he requested that I take him here. So we came here, in search of a walker. They are open limited hours, until 3 pm, so my father had not been able to come here before 3 pm. As you walk in, you have a plethora of medical devices available. Wheelchairs, crutches, walkers and every type of medical device one might need. Now the staff is all volunteer. No one is paid to work here. I know in my experience , a walker needs to be individualized. A walker needs to meet the physical requirements of the person using it. Fortunately, we had the services of Mike, a volunteer. He measured every walker and showed the results to my rather stubborn father. There was an excellent walker that met my father's requirements, but he disliked the seat. He would have rarely sat in the seat, but I held my tongue as to my opinion. So, he chose another version. Mike recommend larger rubber tires for my father, as he would use the walker outside. He also adjusted the height of the handlebars, to better suit my father. We spent about two hours, trying out a variety of walkers. My father ended up with a pristine condition walker. Easily collapsible. For 45.00 dollars. Plus, for every purchase you got a variety of personal care items for free. A great experience here. My frugal father was quite pleased with the price he paid. Fortunately, this walker is also collapsable, to reduce space In their tiny retirement home space. Overall, excellent customer service and a great price. They also offer a one week return policy and adjustments, if you are not satisfied. Love the experience here.

Had mother in laws scooter quit working. Called them on a Wednesday. Very nice girl answered and we spoke. She said yes, bring it in, no problem. I arrived and she again was very nice. She brought out a guy. He also was very nice. Tagged it and gave me a claim ticket. Simply called in on Friday just to check in. Got completely chewed out by a very rude lady. She wanted to know why I would bring in a scooter for repair. We don't do that ! She went on and on and was a real bit** about it. Then a guy got on the phone and was also not very nice, but not as bad as the rude lady. I just went and picked it back up. Hey, I called and asked. I was told to bring it in, why would you talk to me like that two days later ? Simply rude. The first girl and guy very nice on phone and in person. The guy and lady on Friday need new jobs if they hate working there. Just rude. What EXACTLY did I do wrong lady ? In my mind, it's pretty simple, if you didn't want to work on it or if you don't work on them, simply just tell me that when I called on the phone instead of saying, sure no problem bring it in and we'll look at it for you.

The employees are very kind and welcoming. The room is similar to a hotel room, with the exception of a camera watching you (above tv). I thought that would freak me out more than it actually did honestly. The bed is very comfortable - it's actually a sleep number bed! All the wires are uncomfortable, but that's to be expected. You also have to sleep on your back - at least try to! ;) I don't love all of the gunk stuck in my hair, but thankfully it should wash out easily. I'm home now and I have to say this was an overall great experience. I really appreciate the employee that worked with me. I didn't catch her name, but she is awesome. We had some really great conversations.

The other one is with the physician (Morris Chang) in Swedish sleep medicine. Those two sessions are very simple question/answer sessions and basically the same in my opinion. Both of them charged me 400-500 dollars each for a useless session (very expensive and useless for a 30min-ish session). Why do we need 2 doctor visits for the very similar questions and charge the customer twice. And both of them are in Swedish (and doctor refers to another doctor in the same system so Swedish could charge you twice). Those online visits didn't get anywhere as I expected. They will always ask to do a sleep test. The test is delivered as an in-home test and they will charge you another 700 dollars. It's a very simple device you attach to your finger and chest. As an in-home test device, I expected some basic functionality from the device as "reset the test". But that device is designed not to give you this option so if for any reason you fail to complete the test (for example, in my case, I didn't have a full night sleep for the first night), there is no way you can to a reset and test again at home. You will need to bring the device back to Swedish and pay another 700 dollars to do another test. I don't think this is a fair situation for any patient especially I know the test I have done will not result in desired testing results. I asked to do another test without charging me again since the test is fulfilling its desired function. It should be considered as incomplete test. Plus, they don't tell you beforehand about all these (regardless your situation and testing result, as long as you take the device home once you will be charged once. They don't tell you what considered as a failed test, how long you need to sleep to consider a successful test...). I'm only expecting something very simple: "I had a bad night sleep. Can I reset this device to test again at home?" I don't believe there is any extra cost for such kind of ask. But if you assume that you will be treated as a normal patient and have your rights to do a re-test because a bad night sleep, you are wrong. They will use a ton of reasons as excuse to either get you into more expensive in-lab test or another separately billed in-home test. I'm not trying to be unreasonable as a patient. I told them that I will be easily satisfied with your expert decision if I believe the in-home test is delivered as expected (such as "I believe my last night sleep is a good one and the sleep data can be used for the test"). But in my case, I don't even believe the test is delivered in its desired form and obviously the process is set up to not even let patient to re-test in those situations (just to maximize Swedish profit). At this point I'm charged around 1500 dollars but just with an inconclusive test result. I think Swedish just lost a customer/patient forever. I will share this experience with all my colleagues and friends (and others on the internet) so they can avoid the same trap.
