I have spent plenty of time picking her mind for help with my 93 year old friend for medical equipment. she has done this for a long time. and when you look in her store she has a lot of money in equipment invested. she has developed a pattern of doing business all her own,and that will not set well with some people, but when you ask why, you can understand why from her viewpoint. If Gail was paid for all the information she gives out for free she could have retired long ago for the retirement she deserves. If she sold her equipment for the price of most other stores she could also have retired by now. Barbara G. got to take advantage of all that experience for no extra cost. There have been many many countless numbers of people who have lived out the last of their days better and more comfortable because of Gail and her little shop and years of experience and kind heart, and for a lot less money!!! Some days will be better than others to be in her shop,there is a lot goes on behind the counter than you would think. The durable medical equipment business paid well years gone by. not so much today(think Medicare reimbursement). I would wrong her if I didn't go to her first for equipment because of what she has done for me and those many many countless others.

Later Mom and I went in to get fitted for a more size oriented walker. Gail spent quite a bit of time making sure that the walker we ordered was the right size for a tiny woman of 4'7". Her approach was alway helpful and she apologized whenever she had to step away to help another customer. Mom has had her new walker for about a month and she is walking taller and not as bent over. The new walker actually fits! We ended up purchasing a petite junior lift chair also. It is nice to see my Mom sitting in a chair that actually fits her tiny frame and helps her easily get to a standing position. Thanks for all your help, Gail!

I was up a creek, having left home on a trip without the power supply to my cpap machine. I didn't…read morenotice until 4pm on a weekday, and knew that if I didn't find one in the next hour, I was going to have a lousy time sleeping that weekend. American Medical Rental & Supply was the third place I called after getting a flat no from the first two. They thought they had something that would work, so I drove over with my machine. The ladies in the office dug around and found the exact power supply I needed. They were super nice and helpful, and saved me a lot of trouble. The price was reasonable, and they deserve all 5 stars for helping out a weary traveler in his time of need.

They had me come to their office for a new machine as they said my old one could not be repaired based on the problem I had with it. First though I would have to pay a rental fee of $300 which would be reimbursed once my insurance kicked in. When my reimbursement was not forthcoming I was told that I had to see my sleep doctor for a new prescription. I complied. Still no refund and I have tried repeatedly to be reimbursed. Months pass and I am told that instead of a refund I will instead have the money applied to my supplies. I order supplies and later receive a letter cancelling my order. I call them and they tell me I need to see the sleep doctor again, in person per Medicare and it doesn't matter if I had recently seen him. I see my sleep doctor again. I place another order and afterwards get another cancellation email. I call again and they tell me Medicare declined my request as my sleep apnea is not severe enough ( I have had sleep apnea for several years at this point) and I need to have a new sleep study if I want supplies. I call Medicare and they deny ever having been contacted by NW Medical and say that they have never mandated anything. At this point I am just done trying to deal with this enterprise and file a report with the Better Business Bureau. Unfortunately, NW Medical failed to respond to their attempts to resolve this issue and the BBB finally closed the case and instructed me to contact the State Attorney General. I will follow this recommendation, but I feel that this situation is inexcusable.

After I contacted the Atorney General they reimbursed my cost, but to date I still have not received my medical records which by law they are required to supply at a patients request. This is an example of medical equipment company putting money ahead of customer care. My advice is use another company.
