We received the proposal that same evening and accepted it. The start date was the following week. The pool was drained over night. Work began as promised and completed within the quoted timeframe. Marco saw that some of the stones on the spillway were loose and repaired those as well. He actually builds pools so he's very knowledgeable. I appreciated his advice and recommendations. Another issue was on Labor day week guy only shows up once that week. I ask marco why only once, "we dont work on holidays" Doesnt offer to pro rate or come the next day?! Even the trash people do that! Didnt know I was paying for your employees vacations!? Its this attitude, bad business practices along with the new guy missing days, that they expect you to pay for. He is above all personable, friendly, conscientious, and knowledgeable. You will honestly not find anyone better! (And, I've gone through many in the past seven years. Most of them are lazy, dishonest, and scam artists.) I needed help badly with my pool, algae was growing all over the pool. My previous pool company said that they were not responsible but could do an ADDITIONAL acid wash, and it would take them two days, two of them to do the work, and quoted me an high price at first, for a job they were suppose to already be doing. I was not happy, but had to get it done. After the wash it looked better but it was all streaked, I was told the sun would finish bleaching it? In utter frustration, I found and called Armando. He scheduled an appointment to see it for early the next morning. He arrived promptly and inspected the pool. He said that he could do the job the day after and quoted me an unbelievably reasonable price. He explained to me that he had to pick up the necessary supplies and would be back the next morning. Armando arrived early in the morning, friendly and in good spirits, and went straight to work. At the end first day, he had me go over his work that he had done, to make sure I was satisfied. I saw one small spot but was amazed at what he had accomplished. On the second day, it began just like the previous. He fixed the spot...and made sure I was happy! Armando knocked it out of the park! He finished the job all by himself in just two days. After Armando was finished, I have to say I was totally blown away by the quality of his work. Armando was able to restore my pool to the way it looked when I had it resurfaced a few years back. Since then, I have hired Armando to be my pool guy. He services the pool on the scheduled days, and it has never, never looked better. It took me some time to write this review; because, I wanted to evaluate his quality of service and responsiveness to varying issues. BEWARE Enrique is a nice acting guy. We hired him to build a…read morepool and add some concrete pads. Through my complaint to the State, I've learned he's an UNLICENSED contractor that "borrows" license numbers. For my project, he used the license for Santamargarerita Development, who said that he used it illegally. So, I'm going to court to recover money. The job started, then things stopped. He took draws, like for the pool equipment, but didn't buy any equipment. The pool he started is not the one we designed, and the work kept getting worse. He wanted $3200 to fix his error on pouring the wrong pool. He did say that he was good at tile, and when it was time to get it, he wanted me to pay for it, after I had given already him money for the tile and pool equipment. I sent him pictures of how we wanted the stonework, since he was doing something completely different. When I pointed it out and showed him the picture I sent him, he said no problem, then proceeded to do another piecemeal job, until I had him stop. After paying him nearly $70,000, seeing the wrong pool, no work for months, a project almost a year old, my backyard torn up, and ongoing messy and bad work, i gave up trying to work with him. It was ridiculous to do business this way, given the lies. So now, I've spent another $40,000 to have someone else come in, fix the errors, and finish the pool. I warn everyone, steer very clear. He appears very nice, and does not listen to what you want, my backyard was completely torn up for months, he does bad work, and takes money for things he doesn't provide. Here's a short list of examples, most I fixed or hired someone to fix: Represented as licensed, but is not. Gas and electric lines had to be separated, per city. He didn't. 240v electric circuit was missing one wire.(A $500 fix) Big gunnite piles left all over yard. (Concrete) Trash left all over. Stone work so bad we had him stop. Pool poured is not what we agreed on. Pool is above grade, making things difficult for landscaping. Spa so deep we had to add stairs. Spa jets too low and partially in seat. I dug the trenches for him. After 6-months, I filled the trenches. He failed to get electric inspection. He failed to get setback inspection. He often had work promised, and nobody showed up to do the work. New pool installer had to repipe all of the pump and water lines. Auto-fill installed too low. Water line for auto fill only a couple inches below ground and visible in spots. And more... He's offered to repay me, but I haven't seen a penny. Hence, going to court. Ugh. A total nightmare.

I'm going to pursue a lawsuit...he is a liar, unlicensed and does horrible work. Makes you pay upfront so you have no recourse...also makes you pay for materials in advance that he never provided. I'm beyond frustrated and disappointed. I hired him to retile my pool and it ended up being my worst nightmare. He originally told me 5 to 7 days...4.5 weeks later it's still wasn't done. The quality of work is terrible, he never put the chemicals in the pool which I paid him for upfront, the job was never finished.
