I cannot recommend these people! They are not all aligned! I paid a full price service fee and technician told me it was good for 12 months of warranty if they needed to return for any reason. Every part of the process for getting fireplace doors over six months was a mess. It took a month to get a hold of the sales rep to place an order, we had to pay the amount in full for the order, and then after months of waiting, they didn't bring the right set to our house. We had to reschedule and the doors they ordered didn't have the correct measurements. They gave us 10% off, sent the same guy to remeasure, reordered and scheduled the instillation . Months later, they forgot the appointment, eventually came and the doors were again incorrectly measured. The only positive was that we did receive a full refund. It didn't feel like they had ever ordered fireplace doors before. We were so disappointed and now have to start all over. I don't know if they have hired new staff or if they don't typically do fireplace doors installation, but I would recommend if looking elsewhere. read more

We had a new house long ago, and we never used the fireplace until 6-7 yrs after moving in, hey, this is Texas, right? Well, it wouldn't work, so we called Perfection, who did the original installation, and they did a service call. Seeing how it was new , the tech got it going and then didn't even charge. Fast forward, 5-6 yrs later, it wouldn't start. Once more we called Perfection, and "JACOB" was the tech making the service call. The phone rep who booked the call related that there was a tune-up basic charge. Jacob the Technician diagnosed the issue as an electronic part that likely burned out during a surge. He also saw that we didn't use the unit, it was like brand new, and so he related that he wouldn't charge the tune-up fee because it was like new, and didn't need it. These people are class acts. I bought my house 2 years ago and had some minor issues with the fireplace. I decided to get a tune up and randomly found this company, and learned that coincidentally they installed the fireplace when my home was built ~21 years ago. A friendly technician came out and did the tune up but after about a year I had some minor issues again. When I called them back out, they determined the tech had made a little mistake that caused the issue. They fixed it in 15 minutes and didn't charge me a dime. They could've lied and/or charged me but they didn't. read more

Since, luckily (for me, evidently) I had a model of a fireplace they could service, they condescended to service my fireplace last Thursday and they would "let me know Wednesday " when they would bless me with their service call. Fine, I understand that the installation prices may vary. So ho much is the unit? They don't give a price for the unit. They Won't. It looks like sloppy painting job and you can see bumps and paint streaks and just very poor painting. Turns out they are the ones that installed the gas logs when the house was new, so they had the house information in their system and what type was installed. I'm a potential customer in their store wanting to look at fireplaces and their attitude was one where they couldn't wait to get me out of their store. I spent no more than 2 minutes with the sales rep when he took my contact info and told me someone would contact me to come to my residence to provide an estimate. I never received a call. If you're looking for a fireplace, don't waste your time with Perfection Fireplace. Please don't use the excuse that you were so busy dealing with all the Hurricane Harvey victims. You had one other customer in the store and a whole staff sitting around shooting the bull and drinking coffee ignoring us. Our service team was extremely professional and polite. They cleaned and serviced our gas fireplace which was not working. They actually took off their shoes when entering, laid tarps around the fireplace, removed the logs, cleaned everything and put the logs back. We recently built a new home in the Katy area and the contractor that supplied the fireplaces was Perfection. Now I'm not going to say they're "perfect", but as far as timeliness and professionalism, they're at the top of the list. We moved in during the summer and, of course, it was almost 6 months before we used the fireplace for any amount of time. However, during the winter months, we did have issues with the remote starter. Even after all that time, it only took one call to their service department to get an appt scheduled- and it was at our convenience, not "when we can get to it"! At a later time, one of the remotes again failed to light the gas. It was because the gas logs had dislodged and did something to the proper set-up position of the lighter. I don't know why or exactly what was wrong, but, again, 8 months after the installation, they came out, corrected the problem and went on their way...NO CHARGE. Now, I don't want to convey the impression that all their work is free, but it seems to me that they are very considerate of circumstances and act accordingly.
