Review of Outstanding Cleaning (Veronice Biscalquim, 617-368-0067,…read moreoutstandingcleaninginc@gmail.com, based in Somerville, https://www.wewillcleanit.net/ ): We have an important, big family event coming up and because my mother fell unexpectedly ill, we ran out of time to clean before guests arrive. We had used Outstanding Cleaning before when I was undergoing cancer treatment. They did it at no charge, and did such a good job, during that time! So, I definitely wanted to give them the business again. As before, Veronice sent three extremely efficient, thorough workers who were both friendly and very responsive to our needs. Because of our situation, we didn't have time to tidy up entirely before the crew arrived. They worked alongside us, as we tidied up another room! Partway through, they consulted with Veronice, and with her approval, they went the extra mile to do deep cleaning, giving extra time because it was needed. We are extremely pleased with the results, which are like night and day. Everything sparkles! Veronice is very responsive to client needs on cleaning and timing. Her rates are very reasonable and she is extremely fair. Her workers are honest and gracious and reflect the protocol she sets. I would highly recommend this cleaning company.

I found Reg through a house cleaning app a few years ago and was so happy with how thoroughly he…read morecleaned my apartment that I decided to forgo the app and just work with him moving forward. His rates were reasonable for a ~2000 square ft apartment and he always came with a colleague so between the two of them they were done quickly. He was pretty flexible with scheduling, I usually just texted him a week or so before I needed a cleaning to determine a time that worked for both of us. Added bonus that my cat absolutely adored Reg. Any time he came over Moose would flop over on his back for some belly rubs and followed him around as he cleaned. He's a pretty friendly cat but I have never seen him take to a stranger so thoroughly so quickly. Animals are great judges of character so you know Reg is a great guy! Usually I had Reg come in the morning so I could let him in and then left for work and trusted him to lock the door when he left. It was never an issue, I always returned from work at the end of the day to a spotless and a properly locked up apartment. Unfortunately I moved so I'm no longer working with Reg but if I ever end up living north of Boston again I will definitely rehire him.

FROM 10/17 I must say that the cleaning by Meire and her colleagues was good, but I am a bit…read moreperturbed by the Groupon 'deal' that she's offered. It offers $160 for $80 of cleaning, but the fine print says that one can only use this on one cleaning. So when they came to clean our little 2 br apartment, they did a good job but only came once for the groupon. We ended up paying them more than we would have paid any other cleaner without a Groupon. I'm not saying that I would expect to pay less for one's cleaning services, but I think in terms of hours they spent and quality of the clean, they were a bit on the pricy side. That being said, she was quite reliable and came on time... EDIT ON 10/21/2013 This was Meire's private message back to me - which I think is a little rude and should serve as a warning to few customers. "If the deal doesn't work for you, why did you buy it? I was supposed to come with 2 people for up to 2 hours and I came with 3 people for 1.5 hour, so you got more than you were supposed to. I have your emails that say your apto was quite clean and that wasn't what I saw. Next time don't buy the offer if you think it doesn't work for you, don't try to ruin people who work very hard to do the best for the clients. I didn't put any weapon on your head to buy my deal. Most of my clients are satisfied, that's what means to me."

Caution: my 5-star rating is for the quality of the cleaning only, not the booking or anything…read moreelse. I read the Yelp reviews and understood that I shouldn't expect them to be perfectly on-time, so I just cleared my entire Saturday and booked it for that day. WOW! My apartment is SPOTLESS. The bathtubs alone were worth the $100 I paid for the Amazon deal plus tip. They really did a thorough job. I would hire them again in a second. With that said, do be aware that the booking process is not perfect. I called and asked for a Saturday anytime, and Meire said that she would call me back on Tuesday with the time. I hadn't heard from her by Thursday, so I called and she said 3 or 4pm. On Friday night around 9, she called to ask if we could do 8am instead. I woke up at 7:30am on a Saturday morning to wait, and they didn't come until 9. Personally the quality was so good that I was not bothered by this at all, but I feel I should mention it to people who are on tight schedules. Lastly, note that she will ask you to list your priorities (e.g., dusting, bathrooms, kitchen floor, etc) because of the limited timeframe. We had a miscommunication in which I thought that I was listing everything in order with the understanding that she would get as far as she could, so I basicaly listed everything in my apartment. Whereas, she thought these were all considered equal high priorities, so in the end, she didn't get to the 3rd thing on my list. But when I explained what I expected they stayed longer and finished it. I really appreciated that.
