I reviewed Perfected Electric Services over a year ago. I called on them again a few weeks ago in August. Still a 5 star good value operation. Having some remodeling done in the bathroom so I got an estimate from the electrician recommended by the company doing most of the bathroom work. Perfected Electric Service installed our lighted mirror, bathroom fan and updated other lighting as we requested for nearly half the price quoted by the electrician they recommended. I was looking for someone to replace and install a chandelier and ceiling fan on a very high ceiling for my parents. I'm on the east coast and my parents live in Plainfield, IL so I looked on Yelp for an electrician and many of the businesses I called were closed. I came across Corey's business and was surprised to see that he was still open. I spoke to Corey and explained what I was looking for and he didn't hesitate to say that he could do the job. You see, the chandelier is one of those geometric shapes and other electricians told me that a scaffold was needed and/or the chandelier couldn't be installed on a sloped ceiling. Some electricians never called me back after seeing the chandelier. Corey sent me a link to the contract by text and I signed it electronically. Both items were installed that following Wednesday (AND, he used a ladder and not scaffold). He did a magnificent job! My parents were extremely happy and so was I after seeing the photos Corey sent me. Hired electrician for a complete electrical diagnoses at the discussed cost of $75. Electrician arrived work was more complicated than he expected attempt to up the cost on me in which I was not satisfied. Actual problem was never diagnosed by this electrician so I assume he either does not know what he is doing or attempted to extract more money out of me. He replaced electric baseboard heater and thermostat at an agreed to cost which was still I believe overpriced but price was included in supposed diagnostic fee. 2 weeks later had the same problem electrician attempted to charge another $75 diagnostic fee for a problem which I believed to be a breaker but was not. So which would have led to this electrician charging even more money. When he is asked questions he talks around you and does not give you a direct cost for a direct issue. I hired another electrician and job was completed without issue. When I neglected to work with this electrician again this business disrespectfully referred to me as "cheap" I would not hire this company again and advise you not to as well. read more
