I just don't like the idea of a blueberry or peach cake even typing this I'm like "ew" but when I tell you Ramona cakes turned me out!?! We had a blueberry, strawberry and lemon cake at our ceremony. LOL. I would def recommend her cakes. She was very sweet lady, didn't try to force anything on us. After just tasting the cakes and hearing the prices we ended up getting a grooms cake also. I didnt have time for a consult, so I just called in asking Ramona to make up something based off an image I'd sent and the design she came up with was absolutely beautiful. Everything I'd asked for plus some! The flavors are amazing. I had a 2 tier cake, chocolate with chocolate buttercream, and vanilla bean with strawberry frosting. I picked up the cake from the location, made the delivery back to my house very easy with the non-slip padding under the cardboard for added protection. This shop made a farm-themed cake for my daughter's birthday. The cake looked spectacular, tasted great, and Ramona provided excellent communication and customer service. The bottom tier was vanilla with chocolate filling, top tier chocolate with chocolate ganache filling, and barn was rice krispie treat. We had sampled cakes from a few other shops (Confection Perfection, Baker's Man, Sugarbender) because this is apparently what people do for a 3-year-old's birthday, and none came close to Ramona in terms of authentic taste, moistness, and presentation. Ramona is very nice and helpful. This was the 1st stop on our cake tasting consultations and we now have a good idea of what to expect from future appointments. She was very courteous and professional. The cakes were just ok for us. Nothing spectacular. I was a little disappointed in the fillings that she had, as they were very basic. She is probably on the higher-end price wise, and I wouldn't mind paying that price if the offerings were a little fancier. We still have a couple more appointments before we decide, but I doubt we will go with her just because there is really nothing spectacular or different. It's no lie, this is the place for the perfect wedding cake. At our tasting Ramona (owner/designer) sat down with us and went over the ideas we had brought and showed us pictures to give us more ideas. The entire thing was an easy conversation. When it was over she slid her notepad across the table and there it was, a sketch of the wedding cake exactly as I had envisioned! Then came the actual tasting. Everything we tried was so delicious we had to argue about which flavors to use. In the end we compromised by doing his flavors (vanilla w/ chocolate) on the bottom tier and mine (lemon w/raspberry) on the top two.Needless to say we both walked out with a nice sugar buzz. Our original plan had been to put fowers on the cake but after contacting our florist we realized it was more than we wanted to spend. I contacted Ramona in a panic and explained the situation. She very quickly came up with the perfect solution and the final product did not disappoint. The cake itself was heavenly! We had a number of guests tell us they had their first piece and went back for a second! And although it may be tradition to save the top tier we had to eat ours instead because it was absolutely irresistible! read more

I had 3 different flavors on my wedding cake - all 3 delicious. They were somehow able to make my groom's cake (fishing theme) look elegant. As for my wedding cake I was unsure of the design when I met with Ramona but she sat with me and listened to my ideas while she sketched and in the end her design came out to be MY perfect wedding cake. MBA Graduation Cake and Treats Disaster. Ramona came highly recommended for a baby shower cake that turned out great. I did not have the same success with my graduation cake or desserts. After pointing out all the imperfections and sloppiness of the work, Ramona never apologized and then accused me of being picky, stating these types of cakes were not her specialty. I was beyond pissed and told her she should have never taken my order or money. She only offered a partial refund and to leave everything. After arguing with her and her son, I told her that not once had she apologized or attempted to be sympathetic. I let my husband step in and we left with what we had, since I had no options. I received a 200 refund but that does not make up for her nasty attitude and ultimately ruining my graduation party. Never again. Be prepared for the excuses if you do not get what you ordered. I did email her about my refund and she apologized for her attitude, but that was way too late. Horrible business. read more

I had a custom cake made that they had never done before. A big red bow and broaches with big red feathers coming out of the top. Let me just tell you, AMAZING! I actually tasted Ramona's cake initially at my friend's wedding. Her chocolate cake with the raspberry filling really made an impression on me and my then fiancee. When we started planning our wedding, choosing the wedding cake vendor became the easiest part because I already knew I wanted to Ramona to make our wedding cake too. I ordered a cake for a birthday, spent over $210 for the cake and we were all VERY DISAPPOINTED by the taste. I have always valued a great tasting cake over a pretty one and due to the reviews on yelp I felt that this may be a good place to give my business. Now for my daughter's birthday a friend surprised us with a fully decorated birthday cake and every one agreed hers was a lot better than the one that cost over $200. Though it was annoying to hear that, and I agreed with them, I got upset when I was told to buy my cake from PUBLIX next time. I ordered a cake from Ramona for my sons second birthday. I had already ordered my wedding cake and grooms cake from her 3 years ago when we got married. So we have had 3 cakes made by Ramona. Every cake was outstanding! My sons cake was a hot wheels themed cake with the race track, checkered flags and all. I sent her a pic and she made exactly what I asked for, down to every detail. The cake was white cake with buttercream icing and everyone thought it was amazing. Honestly, it was done so well we didn't even want to cut it. However, quite on the contrary, it has been the most disappointing experience through all of the wedding planning.
