They have also done brakes, air conditioning, etc. for us. When we hooked up the 6x12 cargo trailer, the lights were inoperable. My husband identified that the trailer lights were not working and he rightly refused to take the trailer. The woman who assisted us advised that they tested the circuits and the issue was with our vehicle, and then stated mechanics had advised her that if certain lights on the tester illuminate that means the issue is with the towing vehicle and not their equipment. My husband was offended by this statement, especially as he is a CDL driver and mechanic himself, and as we routinely tow a 26' trailer with our vehicle. She then asked if we were doing a local move in the daylight, as we could still use the trailer if we weren't moving at night. Again, we refused as it is a significant safety issue and DOT violation. The young man who assisted us was very kind and helpful, but in the end we had to travel to another location to pick up what we hope will be a working trailer. I went to muffler man in Brighton after calling about a tune up due to engine misfire and a…read morereplacement on an oil pan gasket due to it being leaky. Previously I had gone to them for other issues I had with my car and they were efficient and well priced. I thought that this would be the same so I went with the listed problems. They kept my car for over 48 hours before I could even get a quote on how much money I'd be spending. When I did the price went from $600 when they were just quoting me for a tune up, to $2,500 after quoting the oil pan gasket work. I get it some things are not worth doing the work, especially when it's an old vehicle that has other issues. Because of the oil pan gasket leak I check my oil weekly (5 quart engine) just to make sure that I have enough and that the engine doesn't seize. So to my surprise after retrieving the car and checking the oil there was entirely too much oil in the engine, almost double what should have been. I removed the plug on my oil pan to let the excess out (3 quarts). Again to my surprise what should be my 14mm plug is actually a 13mm plug with helle coil on it and flaking off as I try to re-tighten the plug. I'm unsure as to what happened when my car was there or how my correct size plug was lost or why there was three quarts of oil to many in the vehicle. Moral of the story. Do not take your vehicle here if A) it's not for muffler repair (my fault, hence the name) 2) you expect a good and HONEST work done to your vehicle. More than understanding that accidents happen but why could I have not been notified? Instead I was met with something that could have caused a lot more damage.
