After taking a look at the heater he assured me he could check several systems to find the culprit and gave me an estimate. The work was completed in about an hour. He then showed me the various systems he had checked as well as the results. He ended up placing a new valve on the overflow system. He cleaned up the work area when he was done. He also took $50.00 off the quoted estimate and charged me $200.00. I found Khuma to be polite, and concerned. Luckily we have an unfinished basement and we have only the HVAC and water heater in there. We had over 16 inches in the basement! Luckily we got a recommendation for Van and we called him on Christmas morning. He promised to be here by 10 AM the next day. And sure enough he arrived by 9:30 AM with his wife. He quickly assessed the situation and for to work right away - took out the old sump pump, installed a temporary pump to drain all the water (enough to fill a swimming pool), and then install a new sump pump. There was a second drain in the basement that was clogged too. Van was able to use an electric snake and unclog this drain :) It took quite a bit of work but Van finished it in good time and installed the new sump pump cleanly. We are really happy with the work done by Van and highly recommend him for any future work.

What a great experience I had with Shawn after such a terrible experience with Lowe's. After three months of being disgruntled with Lowes, one might expect that I was quite frustrated with the whole process, and I'm sure when I talked to Shawn to make the deliver appointment my frustration showed. Regardless of my attitude, Shawn has given me an absolutely exceptional customer experience. Shawn had taken me from being totally frustrated to feeling elated as she had taken control, contacted Lowe's and made sure the delivery and install went smooth. It was a pleasure working with Plumb Cheap and I truly feel lucky that they were the contracted plumber. The important piece about this whole situation was, the washer was to be installed by Lowes, but they did not do the install by the time Plumb Cheap came out to install the dryer. Plumb Cheap, rather than keeping the tenant inconvenienced any longer with no washer/dryer went ahead and installed the washer. It can't get any better than this. But the kitchen shutoff wouldn't fully shut off the hot water. So the crew left the dishwasher without installing it. What now? So off to Yelp to find a good plumber to come out today. Some responses. Roto-Rooter was the one that could come within a hour. Others would take longer. We are glad we went with this service. The plumber arrived with the time told on the phone. He quickly assessed the valve and our plumbing. He had to search for the home's main shutoff valve. He found it, using good logic. Along the way, he gave great insights about the home's plumbing. No extra charge Oh, he made sure to put on shoe covers onside the house. My wife appreciates that. The replacement valve wasn't on his truck but he was able to go out and get it quickly. It was a better version of a shutoff valve than the old one. After replacing it, he checked to make sure it didn't leak. The bill was about $225. Well worth it for the quick service. Also, the repair has a one year warrant. Now to get the dishwasher installed, but that's another business to review.

He checks it again by running water down the pipe and declares there's a small blockage and we wants to get the camera and snake to check it out. He says that will cost ***$1,400*** a cursory search says a snake should cost roughly $400-$800. I originally say sure, then decline before he gets his machine down the stairs to where the toilet is. 3) This one just seems petty. He saw I had dogs when he came in. After I pass and pay the visit fee, he leaves through my back yard. And leaves the gate WIDE OPEN for my dogs to potentially get out. So in short: this company wastes your time, your money, at best seems dishonest, and is far from courteous. Go somewhere else.
