The day that they scheduled I waited around all day, no one showed. When I called I was told - we forgot to call you, we are 2 weeks behind. Forward 2 weeks, no update. 3 weeks later I called several times. I was told - i think I you are on the books this week, we will call you back. Nothing. So I called a few more times, no response. On a Friday get a call asking if they can come do the service, they had a cancellation. It was not good for me so we decided the following Thursday. The crew was on time, very thorough and worked hard most of the day. The end result is beautiful, but it was a very frustrating process. The owners are nice young guys, but might need to learn some customer service basics.

In Saint Clair Shores all of this run off goes into the street, into the drains and right into our lake. I stopped going with them because the driver was a smart a.. when I nicely asked him to blow it back. They are expensive to begin with and now I had to go out and blow it back onto the grass. We have a local ordinance that states fertilizer companies have to do this. I have asked nicely several times. Now going down to City Hall on Monday. Michigan State Law also requires that fertilizer landing on hard surfaces like sidewalks, driveways or street must be cleaned up properly. Good luck dealing with MDARD on this because I am also reporting you to them. We do not also want to walk our kids, pets through this.

I had a different company quote the job which included taking down the tree and removing plants in the area. I tried to cancel the job, because I wanted to hire the other company. But they showed up at my house so fast. Dylan assured me that they could pull up the plants. They took down the tree. The crew was largely unsupervised. They pulled out the plants, but left the roots. They also pulled up all of my hard wired landscaping lights. They have crazy unresponsive and so many excuses. The crew left discarded bottles and cans all over the property. I am working on filing official complaints and filling with the court, but what a pain. I don't want to do any of this. However, I do want my landscaping lights to be working again. They completely destroyed my back yard. And this job was $5,500. My mistake, paying them before I fully inspected the work. But were they quick get the money. They really took advantage of me. I strongly don't recommend hiring this company. And it really is a shame because this was easy, easy to fix. And they do need to supervise their team. And do not stand by their work. They aren't registered with the Better Business Bureau. Nor I have I found their licensing company. So not good signs.

We hired Anthony Dangelo from D'Angelos Landscaping and we are tired of begging for a resolution…read morefor unfinished work. He has ghosted us and we have tried to give him ample opportunity to make this right. Just some of the issues we have are listed below. We paid for old barrier to be removed (it is killing our plants) and new barrier to be installed before rocks were installed in several areas. In several areas the old barrier was never removed and it's still killing for plants. In some areas no barrier was installed at all. Anthony failed to inform us he does not know how to do hardscaping and he never divulged he subcontracted a company to install brick on end (BOE). The install of the BOE was HORRIBLE and left us with a mess we need to have it completely replaced. The BOE fell apart after three days. I refused to pay for the BOE however, I will have to end up paying MORE then the initial cost to have all the rock, sand, and concrete removed so we have it properly installed. He still owes us a four plants that he has not made good on. One plant has died, he dug the holes for the other two plant and one shrub but he has ghosted me and won't return my texts. They damaged our landscaping lights, two sprinkler heads and buried a sprinkler head under barrier and rocks (I had to dig it out). They are the only landscaping company I've ever hired that (by his own admission) does not know how to repair sprinkler heads/lines or severed landscaping lights. It's understandable our lawn would be damaged in the process however, the 'repair' was unacceptable. There are still bare spots and uneven soil that he promised to level out. They dug up sections of our lawn while doing work for our neighbor (they are unhappy as well and hopefully they write a review) and just left it unfinished. They damaged a significant portion of our front lawn while doing the neighbor's BOE (which has already fallen apart as well) and replaced it with sod that is at least 50% weeds. It looks terrible. Our 16 year old Japanese Maple tree was severely damaged and I had to argue with him for two days to get some kind of compromise for the damage. He refused to cover the full cost of the damaged. He did his very best to avoid taking responsibility at all and had I not asked for some type of resolution he had no intention of addressing it or apologizing. He was supposed to return to transplant several plants that were incorrectly placed so, now I'm stuck doing the work myself even though we paid him to do it. We met with him in person shortly after his crew left to express our concerns and we thought we had a clear understanding. He promised to make is right and and return to fix all of the issues and in return we paid him and we stated we wouldn't write a negative review. It's been a month now and he refuses to return my texts and calls so, this is my only option at this point. ****Update**** Anthony Dangelo claims he has been the Owner / CEO of the company for 6 years and he is 24 years old. In reality he Is only 18 years old and does NOT own the company. He is commiting fraud. He is intentionally misleading customers about his experience in order to inflate his prices. ****** We always do our best to support local small town business owners and this is by far the worst experience we have had to date. Please DO NOT hire Anthony Dangelo from D'Angelos Landscaping.

Review #471 - First To Tip (11/20/2023)…read more April 30, 2024 = Tuesday After moving in My new House in September 1992, there was a Stinky Smelly Bradford Pear tree it was called that was showing signs of distress with bugs on the bark and branches. I called Mike after viewing his detailed advertisement in a home improvement business magazine. I was pleased when he checked it over and gave me a good estimate price to remove the tree on my front lawn property that had a bug disease and was not treatable. His crew completed the tree removal along with stump grind. They cleaned up in a professional and through way. History: This Tree Business started back in 1978 after Mike worked for Detroit Edison trimming trees. Since 1989 till the Fall of 2023 there's been a 35 year old Silver Maple Tree in the backyard of another house which now is empty. In the past years the tree has grown Tall and over grown with roots under the fence into my yard (besides two other neighbors) I offered to trim or removal the whole tree price not an option back in 2004 but the previous neighbors owning the tree on the easement said no. A radius of four residential houses still deals with Spring, Summer and Fall Issues because of this old tree. A family of squirrels lives in a rotted area in the lower section of it too now. In the Summer of 2023 I contacted the Macomb Township Offices and had a representative come out to My home to look, inspect and give Me an option on this tree causing problems in my yard and pool liner. He could only assist by suggesting to remove the sections that are hanging over in my yard of my property and of course the pool. I called Mike as a previous customer and he stopped over with a good price including clean up and shredding the thick and other branches after trim. The crew of 6 guys arrived on time in the brisk cold temp before Thanksgiving to get the job done. They were careful, efficient, and organized from start to finish with cleanup in two yards too. Time will tell when the pool is open May 10th and when Summer arrives to hope that more Sun will shine more in My pool instead of being in the shade 3 hours covering from the old Silver Maple Tree. Also In a rain and wind storm this tree will bend plus if ice forms in the winter. I'm still worried about My house and if this tree comes down due to weather conditions! Thank You Mike again for your expertise and professionalism! A satisfied customer as myself always remembers a business that gives service, quality and value fora rate of 5 Stars! Unreliable, Poor Communication, and Incomplete Work…read more We had a very disappointing experience. The company didn't show up on the scheduled day and never called to reschedule. We had two homes lined up for service, but they only brought enough mulch for one and complained that driving back for more was too far -- not exactly our problem after we paid for the full job. We also paid for spring cleanup, but the work was rushed and sloppy, with many areas completely overlooked. When we followed up, they refused to come back and finish the job, saying their crews were now working elsewhere. To make matters worse, communication was terrible -- emails went unanswered, and there was no effort to make things right. Would not recommend.
