I don't often leave reviews of places, but I have to for Perfect Fit. The women who work here are some of the kindest human beings I have met. They are always so welcoming and friendly, which is nice after having had bad experiences at other tailors in town. The quality of their work is amazing, I've had $300 pants hemmed by them that end up with stitching looking better than they did new. Their turnaround time is also great, especially when considering the countless other orders that they have to complete. Their pricing is truly unbeatable, since I discovered this place I have been back numerous times because of how affordable it is. We needed prom dress alterations for both of our daughters. We received great service. Both dresses were on time & perfect.

5 Stars - If there were 6 I'd give them. I came to Perfect Fit Alterations with 3 dresses that had been absolutely butchered by another seamstress. One was my wedding dress (which had to be shipped to our wedding destination within a few weeks) suffice it to say that tears were close and the wedding not far. The 2 reception dresses needed to be done within 1 month. Considering this was end of April and things were very busy for Svetlana, I was thrilled when she accepted to try and fix the dresses. She got right to work and managed to make a miracle happen. She had that wedding dress perfectly fitted to my body in time for it to be sent ahead. She then tackled the cocktail dress that had been ruined, turning it into the fabulous dress it was supposed to be. Unfortunately, due to the busy month of May (Prom) and June and July (Weddings)her time was limited, and we had to find another tailor to take care of the 3rd dress, my reception dress. I am so grateful to Svetlana for getting these dresses to look just like I wanted them to. She made my Special day a wonderful day, because my dress was breathtaking. I have been a customer for about 2 years. They are consistent & skilled in tailoring. I've brought my husband's suits, bridesmaid dresses, and work clothes here for alterations & everything has turned out great. I did try another tailor that was closer to my house last year- they charged me more and didn't even do what I wanted (taking in sides of a button up shirt!). After that, I'll stick with Perfect Fit. read more

I came here last Friday to fix my oversize dancing pant. I was took care by a very nice tailor named Lana. She quickly recognized my problems and temporary fixed the pant with some pins in just a few minutes. I tried it one more time and the pant look perfect fit on me. I will pick up my pant in Tuesday but i believe it's gonna be great. I will recommend this place for all of my friends. read more

I took my wedding dress here to be altered. The butt/hip area needed to be taken in and the seamstress added a bustle. The quality of the work was great and very professional. Also the price was a steal! Only $150. I have never heard of wedding dress alterations being that affordable - I was really pleased. read more

Worst business EVER!!! They did not finish my item by the day promised (i even came a day late to pick up). And refused to refund me!!! The older lady is rude and a total scam artist. I hate this business!! Becky Makris has a wonderful sewing studio downtown on the square (above Subway). I have had great service and superb results from her. And she is not in the gross mall. I have been exclusively using Perfect Fit for all of my alteration needs since 2013. They have altered every piece perfectly, from simple pants to an elaborate Indian dress. There have been a couple instances in which I brought something in to be altered, and Lana suggested that it was fine as is. I think this shows how much they value customer satisfaction, as it would be easy for her to just charge me for unnecessary alterations. I am delighted to have a place where I can get my clothes tailored and repaired. I'm very pleased with their work. Everything has been completed by the date they said it would be. I have had many shirts shortened, and I've had a zipper replaced and a neckline widened. The results are professional, and the ends of my shirts don't pucker up (or fold over), which is what I thought hemming always led to! read more

I am excited to be posting the first review on Yelp for Perfect Fit Alterations. I have nothing but positive things to say about this establishment and Lana's work in particular. I have been to several tailors in Bloomington and Perfect Fit is by far the best experience I've had. Excellent craftsmanship, very professional and friendly service, prompt turnaround, great prices, and convenient business (mall) hours. (Unlike some other tailors in town, they're actually open and answer the phone during posted business hours!) I had only discovered Lana this past summer when I had a last minute, fairly complex and involved alteration job for my wedding gown, and other tailors in town were either incompetent or closed for an extended period of time or demanded unreasonable rush fees. I was a little nervous entrusting my precious gown to someone I had never been to before, but as soon as Lana got her pins out and started figuring out how to go about altering the dress, I somehow knew I was in good hands. The woman is a pro. I don't know if she worked magic, but she got my gown to sit in a way that other tailors said simply wasn't possible. The gown really was a "perfect fit" -- and I mean PERFECT -- and I couldn't have been more happy or relieved to have found her. What is more, she charged significantly less than another local tailor who would have almost certainly done a terrible job on my dress, and she also didn't charge any rush fees. My only regret is that I hadn't discovered this place sooner and that I wasted time and money on other highly inferior tailors. This tailor is getting all of my business from now on. read more

Had to get my white coat tailored for my optometry 2nd year White Coat Ceremony. I'm 4'10" and the coat was at least two sizes too big. I took it here and it was PERFECT! I've had terrible experiences at other alterations businesses so I didn't have my hopes up for anything spectacular.
