I frequented this salon in high school-- I remember getting hair "treatments" that were meant to make my nappy hair less damaged by chlorine (hay swim team!). I also remember (and for your reference, this remembering is all about 6 years ago--not long enough for things to change too much, I thought) my sisters and I going to get our eyebrows waxed for $10.00 each-- $7.00 for the wax and a $3.00 tip, which didn't feel like anything considering out mother had irresponsibly allowed us permanent access to a credit card with her name on it. I've been living in Boston for two years now and refusing to have my eyebrows waxed for the unreasonable price of $15.00-- HELLO. I could always come back to perfect 10 and live it up for half price, t or f? Well today I found out that perfect 10 is now charging $15.00 for an eyebrow wax, and also that if you stand expectantly/awkwardly after handing over a twenty, unless you are tough enough to enter a stand-down with a bleached out middle-aged woman, you are now paying $20.00 for a somewhat shitty job. My mom stopped frequenting this salon years ago and while I'm not sure about the specifics of her reasoning, I'm just saying I think you could go somewhere that was either cheaper, or better...especially in Boston. read more
