Our renovation journey started as a mixed bag. We dealt with a contractor located two hours away that broke a custom shower wall panel and delayed the project two weeks; a general contractor who was impossible to reach and kept us in the dark; and an overpriced cabinet designer who charged $17,000 for three vanities and tried to soften the blow by throwing in three "free" sinks. Frustrated, my wife and I decided to call Century Kitchens & Bath one afternoon. We spoke with Tiffany, our designer, and were completely open and honest about our budget. Long story short, we decided to give them a chance to remodel our kitchen--and WOOOOWWWWW! I couldn't believe how well-organized they are. Steve (Owner): An old-school, honest guy. As a military veteran, I would trust him with my life in a foxhole. Jason & Rich: Outstanding craftsmen with crazy attention to detail during the cabinet installation. Ethan: A genius at removing and repositioning appliances seamlessly before the reno. Chris: The Thomas Edison of electrical work. Nick: A magician when it comes to laying tile backsplash. I initially agreed to choose THI for my project due to the good reviews online and recommendation from my designer who thought it would be easier to have THI be my contractor since I was already ordering cabinets and tiles from them. My initial consultation with the owner, Aaron Glenn, was great. He seemed to understand the entire scope of the project but ultimately fell short at time of contract signing. There were significant discrepancies, and I felt like I was gaslit on multiple occasions. This company subcontracts almost all of its work which resulted in major inconsistent quality and communication issues. Major delays occurred due to incorrect supply orders and measurements, and the company (Aaron) showed absolutely no willingness to offer apologies, sympathies or compensation for these setbacks. The most concerning aspect was his unprofessional and unethical behavior regarding a final punch list of incomplete tasks and a remaining balance of $2000 of a total $138,000 project. He demanded payment onsite without providing an updated invoice and even threatened to dismantle my kitchen if immediate payment was not made via credit card. He was assured multiple times that payment would be sent after final work was assessed by my designer, just as I have been doing for the $135,000 of work previously completed but he refused to leave my home. I ultimately filed a police report and am still contemplating legal action as he has threatened to put liens on my property. Based on these experiences, I would NOT recommend Total Home Improvement, LLC. If you decide to still pursue this company, make sure you get everything from the owner in writing during your initial consultation. It is critical you have him sign a delay of work contract (clause dealing with delay in performance) and a waiver of lien so he cannot threaten you as he has done with me. If he refuses, that is a red flag, and you should reconsider this company. Good luck on your renovation project and God speed!

We had previously received a quote from a different company that quoted us over twice what 4 county was willing to do it for, they had incredible customer service and the installer was extremely friendly and knowledgeable with the work he was doing. In August 2025 a hailstorm caused significant damage to the exterior of my house. I ended up having…read moreto replace the roof, the siding, the gutters and downspout, the garage doors and a number of additional items. Thank God, that with the exception of my deductible, it was all covered and paid for by my insurance company, USAA. After meeting with several contractors and doing my due diligence I decided the best company to do the work on my house was Suburban Customer Builders. And in retrospect I am so glad I chose them as they were great to work with and did a truly exceptional job on my house. My friends and neighbors say that it looks like a brand new house rather than one that is almost 40 years old. While there were a number of factors that set Suburban Custom Builders apart from the other contractors I considered, I think the deciding factor for me was the quality of the materials they would be using were far superior to what the other contractors were offering at the price approved by my insurance company. For example, Suburban Customer Builders replaced my roof with level 4 rated high impact shingles that offer much greater protection from hail and wind damage than standard shingles which is what the other contractors said they would be using. As an added bonus most insurance companies offer a premium discount for installing this type of roof because of the added protection it offers against hail and wind damage. Personally, after the installation of my new roof, USAA significantly reduced the premiums on my homeowner's policy. In conducting their inspection of my house, which took place after an inspection had already been performed by an adjuster from my insurance company, Suburban Custom Home Builders found items that they felt that USAA should be covering but weren't, most notably the need to install new skylights, so they send in documentation to support their contention that these additional items should be covered and paid for and after reviewing the documentation USAA agreed and allocated funds to cover the installation of new skylights and the other items Suburban Custom Builders had requested coverage for. The project manager for the work done on my house was Tammy Harrison and she was great. She was very personable and easy to work and was also very knowledgeable and extremely diligent in ensuring t the work done on my house was done in a timely and efficient manner. She oversaw the entire process from start (helping me pick out colors for the roof and siding) to the finish (when Suburban Custom Builders sent in the final paperwork to my insurer, USAA, showing that all work they authorized had been completed). The various crews that worked on my house arrived on time, did their work in a professional manner and cleaned up after themselves when they were finished. Tammy reviewed their work to make sure that it met the high standards both she and Suburban Custom Builders set and in several instances had them comeback to make a few minor changes she thought needed to be made that I never would have ever noticed. I guess in summary I would say that I am very happy that I chose Suburban Custom Builders to do the work on my house, was very satisfied with the work done and would highly recommend them to anyone who needs work done on the exterior of their house. I would strongly recommend that if you had any storm damage or think that you might have any storm damage that you contact Tammy Harrison of Suburban Custom Builders at 1-847-529-8049 and she will arrange for them to come out and do a free inspection of your home. We are glad we selected Wilson Home Restorations to replace 19 windows in our house. From the…read moreinitial appointment, the experience was virtually flawless. Jim Senior and Junior arrived when they said they would, answered all our questions, and took measurements carefully. A few days later, we received an estimate, as promised. The windows were ordered two days after we signed the contract, and we received a text to let us know that was the case. When the windows arrived (a week before we expected them), we received a call to schedule installation, and a few days later, Peter and Chris arrived with the windows. They worked in tandem flawlessly, and despite the fact that this happened to take place on the coldest week in December, we did not freeze, because the work was done so efficiently, one window at a time, doors kept shut to limit drafts as much as possible. They also worked quietly (no music blaring, no loud conversations), were respectful of our property, and kept the environment very clean. They took a 30-minute break for lunch, and worked continuously the rest of the time. This took about 4 days. When they were finished, two painters came to patch holes in the woodwork and paint the filler strips. A few days after the job was completed, Jim Wilson Senior came to inspect it. We pointed out a few places where there had been minor damage on our walls during the window installation process. He took responsibility for it, and agreed to pay for those few areas to be repainted. He contacted the painters who then contacted us, and the job was done professionally in one afternoon.
