We were in the market to have our old and cracked tub replaced…read more We started off by contacting some of the places that are quick to pop up when you start googling search terms like "tub replacement". Quotes were so far out in left field that we thought we were just going to have to deal with the garbage, cracked tub we had or enlist some friends and hopefully pool together enough know-how to do it ourselves. Then, one night while in Menards, we just happened to see Joe's business as one of the recommended installers over by the plumbing/tub area. Boy, are we happy we did! For starters, Joe treats you like family. He listens to you, pays attention to what you can and can't afford and talks to you like a regular person. He communicates with you every step of the way and lets you know if something is changing. In the end, we basically wound up with a whole bathroom remodel for about the same (if not less) than what the other companies were quoting for JUST a tub replacement. Joe only uses the best of the best when he brings people in to your home to perform services. The flexibility and respect won't be soon forgotten. So many contractors out there talk to people as if they're just complete idiots. Joe educates, suggests and works to make you comfortable and confident in what you're doing. I kid you not, I felt like I was dealing with a family member throughout the entirety of the project. And let's not forget speed! Joe knew that we have a small 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom house and that we couldn't be without a working bathroom for days on end. He made sure that the amount of time without vital bathroom elements was kept to an absolute minimum. There's a reason why people like Joe have success in business for several decades like he has -- because they take pride in their work and base everything they do on honesty and integrity. For as long as he's in business, he'll be the first call we make when a project at our home crops up.

I desperately needed my 60 year old bathroom remodeled, from top to bottom. Working with Robert and his team, Karol and Les, was an excellent experience. They were very knowledgeable and hard working, finished the job within the original estimate, cleaned up every day before they left and had high standards for their own work. Besides the bathroom they also finished a job from a previous contractor for my kitchen, including installing a tile floor and countertop. Robert's pricing was fair, he was open to negotiation on special requests, he was patient and had excellent communication skills. I highly recommend Home Max for your next remodel needs.

Due to a family emergency, the project needed to begin with urgency. Over the course of more than a month, there was constant back-and-forth communication, and the shower floor pitch was installed incorrectly twice. I also clearly communicated that my flooring contractor would address the trim. Despite this, I received a text message stating they intended to stop work mid-project, leaving me with a broken and unfinished shower floor. This situation has been extremely frustrating, as I am now forced to find and coordinate a new contractor to fix and complete the work. Please use caution when considering this company. When it got time for me to get the bathrooms done I had the tough task of finding someone I could trust to do the work; as a single girl in the city I didn't want to get taken advantage of. Luckily, my handyman got me in touch with Tim at LA Remodel. Tim and his partner Mike are great. They came out, we talked about what I needed done and gave me an estimate. The work they did was excellent and completed quickly. Since they knew I was on a budget they consulted any time something unexpected came up that would cost more or let me know if there were ways I could save some money, which is why I decided to paint the bathrooms myself and save some cash. I felt like Tim was psychic, I told him what type of look I was going for and all of the samples he brought for me to choose from were spot on. He even picked the faucets that I would've chosen myself. They were also really neat and clean; you get to one bathroom through my bedroom and you could hardly tell they'd been there they cleaned up so well on a daily basis; my rug was cleaner than it was before they started! Tim even called so he could return my cat's favorite toy, which they accidentally took when finishing the job. I thanked him from avoiding a potential crisis since watching her diligently search for it was pretty sad. You almost forget she easily has about 50 other toys she could play with. Tim and his partner also did some work for my parents. They too were thrilled with the quality of work they did for him. As my mom said, their estimates may not be the lowest, but they're spot on - so no surprises. Bottom line: Tim and his partner Mike do great, quality work. I trust them immensely, plus they're insured and bonded.
