Door Dash to the rescue!!! Here in the area visiting with my grandkids and my granddaughter wanted Pizza. Searched Door Dash and something kept me going back to Peppinos Pizzeria. We didn't want anything fancy. Just a pepperoni pizza. And I am so happy we chose this place. Yall.... Their pizza is really good. The cheesy cheese. The right amount of sauce. Good food, good price points, gets five stars for how hospitable the staff is. This place has been around for over 30 years in the same place since I was a kid and is still standing/busy. I got spaghetti today and to add meatballs was extra cost. Got just one big meatball haha. So if you're expecting a meatier meal, maybe request extra or maybe they will read this and change that. TLDR: If angry, anti-maskers are your style, than this is the pizza place for you! I was disappointed when I walked in to see only one employee, out of four or five, wearing a mask. Upon seeing this, I requested a refund ( I paid for my pizza over the phone) and explained that I was not comfortable eating food from this environment. After being told by the cashier several times "Okay, but there's nothing I can give you", I was charged at by the cook. The cashier had to literally grab his shirt and beg him to stop as he aggressively approached me while shouting obscenities. Two days later, accompanied by mall security, I went back in to ask for my refund. Once again, the cook (Barry is his name- I assume he's the owner to behave like this) began shouting loudly and accusing me of trespassing. I'm paraphrasing, but he said I must be mentally unstable and I should be locked up in the loony bin. He went on to add that he's "sick of these liberals". The officer had to ask him to be nice; he did not oblige. Needless to say, I have not gotten my money back for the pizza I never took. read more

I've never left unsatisfied from Peppino's Pizzeria, and when this whole crap happened with coronavirus, I prayed these guys were still open!! Yes, that should detect how delicious they are. They have that...thin, New York style pizza going on with their HUGE pizza by the slice ordering. And the flavors? All I gotta say is "mmmm." Those bread knots are pretty darn good, too. I used to love Peppino's Pizza, but just ordered one today and their selected delivery partner, SLICE, never delivered my $50 order. When I called and asked Peppino's what was up after waiting an hour and a half, the female who answered rudely told me she'd sent the order ages ago, and it wasn't their responsibility because it was the fault of the third-party delivery partner. SERIOUSLY?? Who chose the delivery partner, if not Peppino's?? I've walked past this place ever since my high school years and would love to drop in here and there. However, although the pizza is great, the staff is beyond rude. I had my Grandson with me and looked forwarded to ordering our pie. What's sad, is it started right off the bat and into the rest of the service. When I requested to speak to the owner, I was very surprised to find out that one of the staff being the rudest, was in fact part owner. I love the Pie but will unfortunately will NOT be returning. After reading other comments, seems to be a common thread. Again, very unfortunate given the challenges over the past few years for small businesses. I had Peppino's pizza for the first time today and the pizza was excellent. The crust is an authentic New York style crust, the sauce is fresh and slightly sweet, and the cheese is incredible (not the plastic stuff)!! The toppings were also very fresh, all served to you in one of the cleanest pizzerias I have seen!! Barry and Michelle the Owners were super nice and the prices were very reasonable. Very hit or miss on delivery, some times hot sometimes warm BUT today was the worst. Pizza was left at door with no notification it was delivered ( I was in living room by door waiting for it so someone was even a bit sneaky with it ) I'm 5 to 10 min. from pizzeria depending on traffic so after 35 min. of no updates or pizza after it showed on its way I started contact with company ordered through to find out what problem was. Pizza was past stated delivery time at this point, took 10 min. of conversation for me to be told to see if it was left outside......SERIOUSLY WHO DOES THAT WITH FOOD DELIVERY??? Drop it off, don't ring doorbell, don't knock on the door. I asked for refund or replacement pizza as pizza was cold and who knows how long is been setting outside at this point and I was concerned with if this was even safe to eat. I was told I'd get 25% off and tip and delivery fee refunded. THATS FAIR?? I've been eating here since before it was even Peppino's but no more and will be contacting my credit card company to do charge back and don't care if I have to pay more than this charge to do so, sometimes its just the principle of the thing. This could be a good place if the staff was more pleasant, The cashier which I imagine is the owner was rude in trying to force a 15% tip on people, for handing you a pizza? That's their job. My grandson had grease on his hands and wanted to wash up, he was denied the bathroom, said there is no bathroom anymore. She was really rude and in a bad mood. My only complaint is that I worked for them for a short time last year and never got paid for it and have tried contacting them several times in several different ways but haven't heard back from them and still never got paid. :-/ it really is a nice little family owned restaurant though. Fresh thin crust pizza for $3. Nice little Italian place tucked in by one of the entrances to the Aurora Town Centre mall. Haven't had quality NY/NJ-style pizza in eight going on nine years. I could smell pizza from around the corner. I walked by and saw the house slices and knew it was going to be great. Grabbed three pepperoni slices, 4 garlic knots and a half pound of wings. Threw some garlic salt, parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes on the pizza and went to town. I loved the pizza. We went in and ordered a 12 inch pizza. It comes out of the oven. We pick up a slice to eat it and the toppings just slid right off. We tried another piece and it happened again. It was just dripping with grease. So we ask the cashier and she told us it was our fault for eating it right away. Refused refund. Refused to make us another. Offered us 2 fresh slices. 25 dollars for inedible pizza. Told us it was our fault. Got charged for extra cheese that wasn't put on. And she proceeded to tell us how much her cheese was. She said it was 4 dollars a pound. Charged us 5 dollars for extra cheese. Did they put a pound worth of cheese on there? Hell no. It was mostly sauce and salt.
