If there's a better spot for cheesesteak sandwiches anywhere on the Grand Strand, I certainly haven't heard of it yet in eleven years, and I talk about this place all the time! If someone at work says "Peppers?" everyone tries to be off for lunch that day. A few co-workers have said they refuse to ever eat there again, because of the Trump signs displayed in the restaurant. They don't want to support a business that supports him, or plays fox news on the tv where they are eating. I've tried to do the same thing, but man, the steak sandwiches are just too good. What can you do? Cooking brilliance doesn't guarantee political intelligence, but I suppose I can be bipartisan, when killer food is available... The sandwiches come with a bag of chips, but we all upgrade to their onion rings or crispy fries. And if you have a few extra bucks, definitely grab some appetizers. Wow, this is quite the hidden gem of a restaurant. It's a small, divey looking place, but don't let the appearance deceive you...the food is ridiculously tastetacular! First off, like I said it's a small place. There are two four-person tables, one six-person table, two four-person booths and about four-five counter seats. The hostess/waitress was extremely warm and friendly and she was not only good with us but with the other few tables around us as well. Now for the food. The waitress told us that the cheesesteaks are what they are known for, and after having one I could see why. The beef, peppers, onions and cheese worked sooo well together. I've had cheesesteaks in Phili and in New York, and I have to say that this one was just as good as what I've had previously. The cheese melts perfectly with the beef juices to make this tasty cheesy sauce and the peppers and onions were cooked perfectly and were nice and tender. If you're not a beef fan you can get it with chicken like my sister-in-law did, and you can also throw on a variety of different peppers or mushrooms. If for some reason you're a crazy person and don't like cheesesteaks, Peppers offers plenty of other options. They also had burgers, hot dogs, cold cut sandwiches, hot sandwiches (like meatball subs and chicken parm), pizza and calzones. The price is definitely right. For $6 you get an 8'' cheesesteak built the way you like it with chips, or you can upgrade to either fries, macaroni salad (which was also pretty awesome) or onion rings. They had bottle beers for $2.25 which is definitely a great price. The one and only complaint I had about the place was the lingering smell of smoke. This complaint comes from a New Yorker who is used to smoking being banned in restaurants, and I know that down here in South Carolina there is no such regulations. That being said, I can't bring myself to knock this review down to four stars on account of a problem I've experienced with a couple of other smaller restaurants in the area. The food is amazing, the price is right, and the service is extremely friendly. I highly recommend you go out of the way to find this little place and check out their amazing cheesesteaks. read more

Stop reading and start ordering! Best cheesesteaks in the area, you can stop reading reviews for similar places. We have been multiple times and have never been disappointed. Last time I did blaspheme one with ketchup and got some ribbing for it, but justly deserved. We primarily stick to steak sandwiches and fries. The bread, which is key to a good steak sandwich, always rocks. They do have other items too. Our 3yr old enjoys a slice of pizza when we go. Best Philly Cheesesteak I've ever had. It's the only thing I've ever ordered after 3 years of eating there. However the service has been horrible lately and the dining room is dirty. Mike seems like he doesn't want to be there, rolls his eyes, and sighs whenever we ask him for something. The dining room had a very messy floor even though the place had just opened. This made me think that he didn't clean up the night before, also half of the lights were off and stayed that way before we left. I wanted to love this place. I called and ordered pick up- the man who answered the phone seemed really annoyed that I called. No customer service skills at all! Literally sounded so bored and annoyed like I said. When we went to pick up the girl who gave our food also seemed annoyed we were even there- but that didn't stop her from saying "we were wondering where u were! NOBODY doesn't pick up peppers, our food is amazing." And went on and on about how great the food there was. The food was okay. We got cheese steaks and subs that were delicioso and they didn't skimp on meat which was nice. The onion rings were over cooked and the fried mushrooms were undercooked- I took a bite of one and got a mouthful of batter. I can't believe I've been coming here for at least 6 years and have never written a review. This is hands down the BEST cheesesteak in North and South Carolina. I feel like I've done my due diligence on this. I'm a girl from South Jersey and we take our cheesesteaks seriously! Peppers uses Amoroso rolls (and really... a cheesesteak starts with a good roll) and does lettuce right by shredding it. My hubby gets a cheesesteak or club usually and both are great. Stopped here for a quick meal while heading down to Myrtle Beach. We ordered a cheesesteak and a chicken cheesesteak. Both were great! Last night we had a large pizza with Italian sausage, black olives, mushrooms, and banana peppers. We got take-out. It was nicely cooked, and had an excellent taste! We had no trouble eating 3 pieces each! However, the crust was very thin and soft. I think this is called New York style of crust. But, that just means New York City. Way up in Buffalo NY (the home of real wings) the crusts are generally thicker and a bit crisp on the bottom. That's the way I like 'em! You can hold a piece with one hand without having to give it a NYC "fold". This place is set up more as a restaurant than a take-out joint. This was a Friday evening. The lady who took care of me was nice, but VERY busy. She was cashier, waitress, supervising the kitchen, and taking phone-in orders all at the same time. No time for small talk at all. This is an amazing hole in the wall type of place but they make an amazing cheese steak!!! They know how to do it right, the best part is that they have the hoagie roll down perfect. The bread truly makes a Philly cheese steak delicious as well as the ribeye they use, I got mine with banana peppers and it's one of the best I've ever had. You might want to call ahead of time so they have it ready for you cuz it could be a little bit of a weight and sometimes it gets crammed in the dining area. While on vacation from Philly , I had to see this place that served up an Authentic cheesesteak So far away from where the original was created. I was instantly impressed with how friendly the people were. I also noticed that it was very clean, this is a big plus in a dive type place. I ordered my traditional cheese steak with mushrooms and fried onions and when it arrived I felt like I was back in Philly. The meat was sautéed with the veggies perfectly, everything was nice and tender in an authentic Amaroso roll direct from Philly. I washed it down with their homemade fresh brewed iced tea. VERY RUDE !!. The woman who is there all of the time yells accross the room asking what you want to drink. The woman doesn't give you time to think of an answer when she asks if you know what you want to order, walks away from you and mumbles just let me know when your ready. Then I paid using a debit card, she took the reciept out of the machine, puts the reciept down abruptly and said Here !. Then she turned her back and walked away. I love the food and have been there several times but I will not be returning there. That woman is very annoying and rude.
