Peppers is a great place to eat and drink. I've been coming here for years and it's always good. They have knoepfla soup and chili. This is a great place to watch football. They've got lots of big screens and good sound. This is a really good place to have groups. read more

Ok, I have to start with how massive their beers are.. literally the biggest mugs I've ever seen and they're always chilled! Next, the food. Everything is homemade, salad dressings, pasta sauces, hot sauces. They smoke their own BBQ and I gotta tell you, it's all fantastic. They have a great special called the Daily Draft where you can pick two "half" items for $9.99 I believe and the "half" salads are massive and loaded with meat and fixings. Their sandwiches, burgers and alfredo are some of my other favorites. The wait staff is also fantastic both behind the bar as well as out in the restaurant. You won't hear about this place very often, but give it a shot, I bet they'll impress you! read more

Everything is average about this sports bar. We had beer and fried food appetizers. My Ruben sandwich tasted ok. The place was very run of the mill and nothing set it apart or made me want to return. Only interesting thing was the giant carnival carousel horse elevated on the middle of the room. Sort of peculiar but still a conversation piece. read more

It'd been awhile since I'd been to Peppers, and this time it struck me that it's gone downhill. The place is starting to wear... there's chipped paint on the walls, at least one antiquated tube TV on a mount near the ceiling, along with a number of oddly-sized flastcreen TVs somewhat haphazardly placed throughout. The menu is underwhelming... I was looking for a shrimp dinner, no shrimp on the menu. I remember a time in the 90s when this place had some of the best food in town. We ordered burgers and while they were cooking, the server brought out the ketchup and mustard bottles. The ketchup had goopy, coagulated ketchup caked all around the lip where the nozzle and bottle attach, and the mustard bottle had dirt on the nozzle and cap that made it obvious they have not been emptied and washed in a very long time. I have photos. It made us nervous about what other cleanliness procedures they might be overlooking in the kitchen. The burgers were average. We're not going back until the health department does a checkup on this place. read more

This restaurant has fabulous brisket. So tender and flavorful. (I hear the ribs are amazing as well) I really enjoyed my philly steak sandwich with brisket. I added some chipotle mayo for some kick and used all the amazing au jus. We had excellent prompt service. They have a full bar and many large flat screen TV's. This place is probably a great place to watch your favorite game with friends as it's quite large. I can definitely recommend this place. read more

Usually not a bad place to go for some fairly vanilla food and a beer. However went there tonight and pretty sure I was a major inconvenience for the guy serving me. it wasn't very busy but he obviously had four friends at another table that he wanted to spend time with so consequently did everything he could to make sure I left as quickly as possible. We finished out the #Bision #football season here with great food great drinks and service. With yesterday's game for the championship the house was rocking with many #Bision fans. I must day as crowed as it was we had great service they we're very well staffed. If you enjoy BBQ ribs...this will be your new favorite place. Sunday's at Peppers you can get all you can eat ribs for $24. Amazing. F'ing outstanding. You get about 20 bones on your first plate...so meaty I couldn't finish them. They let me box them up to take home for later. I can not speak to the quality of the sides, as I focused on the smoky and delicious ribs...Sauce is spicy and perfect. Trust me on this...go for the ribs. Peppers. What can I say about this place. If I want to watch a game or meet people to talk and socialize Peppers is a place I often suggest. It has a nice comfortable atmosphere and a local feel to it. Generally you feel welcomed when you arrive. Patrons and staff are friendly. They generally have upbeat contemporary music playing but it is not overbearing. Peppers is a nice escape from the chain style restaurants and bars we have become accustomed to. They have a nice selection of burgers and sandwiches on their menu. I have not had a poorly made sandwich or burger here. It would be nice however if they added Swiss cheese to the menu as an option. Today the fries were definitely over seasoned. I did point it out to my waitress, her response was "well that is the way it is always done here", actually it is not. She did not offer new fries or another item as a substitute. That though was a rare negative experience that has happened to me at Peppers. If you are contemplating giving this business a try, I suggest you do. I doubt you will be disappointed. read more

We got to peppers when they opened at 11:15, and when we walked in The Pussycat Dolls was playing over the loud speaker. The atmosphere felt club/bar like and not welcoming for lunch. We had good service, but were the only ones in the restaurant for most of our visit. The food was not good. My wild rice soup did not have wild rice, which was disappointing considering this is a Minnesota/Midwest favorite. With a name like peppers, the burrito should have been good, but ours was boring-itto. We all had gastro-intestinal issues afterward. Overall, our food was dry, bland and nothing special. This place should focus on serving alcohol and greasy bar food, but not lunch. Wild nights maybe, not so wild rice. read more

Normally I like Peppers. Food is decent, the beers are big and they have sports on. However, I was in their for lunch a bit ago and the manager,Suzie it says her name is, began chatting me up. I was hoping to just have a beer or two, read my book, enjoy my lunch and relax. However, it was dead in there and I certainly didn't blame her for wanting to chat nor was I bothered by it. However, caught up in conversation, she poured me the wrong drink and just laughed it off. I wouldn't have thought anything of a simple mistake like that and would have drank it anyways. But that she didn't offer up even a remote apology or offer to get me the one I wanted was a little irritating. But I brushed it off and we kept talking. That's when she found out that o worked at a popular place in town. As soon as she founs that out, she proceeded to degrade and my bad mouth my place of work and my coworkers. Apparently she had. been there only once and the server didn't tell her and her friend about the drink specials that night and the the food wasn't very hot when it arrived. I understand that these are perfectly legitimate complaints and clearly the server was not doing her job. Even though it wasn't me who had given her poor service, I apologized several times and promised that if she came in again, it would be nothing like the first time. Where I bartend is one of the most popular places in town and we have a great staff but of course there's bound to be some rude or just plain bad workers. I sincerely felt bad and apologized and said if she came in while I was working, I would promise to make it up for the last time. This wasn't enough however as she went on and on about how where I work is full of terrible servers and I need to work harder because that would never happen on her watch. At that point I just asked for the check, paid and left. Wrong beer? Not a big deal. Tell me about your ezperience at the restaurant I work and I will be sincerely sorry and embarrassed that happened. But to go on talking down to me, generalizjng all the servers as being bad and not letting me forget that you will never go back (despite that I wasn't even working the night she came in) was so incredibly rude and unbelievably immature for a GM talking to a customer just trying to have a nice lunch. The irony of her telling me about bad restaurants as she's practically insulting (or at least discomforting) the only customer was ridiculous. I'm sure very few,of any, wil have the experience I had so I do recommend Peppers. Just don't strike up a conversation with the GM. Or, just hope that she's never visited your place of work. P.S. tried again to go to Peppers because it's a neighborhood bar...two friends and I went at 4:00 On a Saturday..seated our selves then waited, and waited and waited. finally my friend went to the bar and got our drinks and asked that we get menus. a guy came with the menus and no smile, nothing..finally came back so we could order..not a good experience, again.. wanted it to be better..by the way the crabby person that threw the menus' at us the last time is still there!!!! read more

I absolutely love this place! We live on the opposite side of town and still drive just to eat here. I would recommend anything that is smoked, they do that all in house. I love to smoke meat at home and it's kind of irritating how much better their smoked food is. They also have the biggest, coldest beers in town. If you happen to run into Tank you'll be more than impressed, she is extremely nice and funny. If you haven't been here I highly recommend you try it. read more

Worst $22 spent at a restaurant. And that's even after taking the fish and chips off my bill. The only thing that was worth the visit was my beer. My son ordered the fish and chips. Now, I did expect mediocre previously-frozen-fish thrown into a fryer, however, it came out a grayish color and the breading was soggy. Like dripping soggy. Luckily my child doesn't have an experienced palate and was hungry enough to eat it without notice. I asked the server how it was prepared and she could tell I was less than impressed with the outcome and took it off the bill. Kudos to her. I didn't expect her to do that as I know it's not her fault. On to my order. I cautiously ordered the waffle fries and opted to add the chili and cheese. Plus, I ordered some onions and jalapeños with a side of sour cream fully expecting an extra charge. But I wasn't expecting to be charged an extra $5 for those add-ons! Are you kidding me? And don't get me started on the tiny portion sizes. Let's just say they could win an award for that. So after all of this, the ONLY way I would go back is for another beer. Very disappointed to say the least. This part of south fargo needs decent food establishments. It's sad to see a place that has so much potential offering less than average (at best) food. Took us about 2 hours to get food. Was told it was going to be slow because only 1 cook. Salad came out after meals, Ruben was missing 1000 island and sauerkraut. Someone ordered a drink and after 10 minutes waitress came back saying there is only 1 bartender and they stepped away. The food I would give probably 4 stars. Unfortunately due to the terrible management and customer service provided to our baseball team today I feel 2 stars is appropriate here. Knowing we were on a time schedule and disregarding that as the manager was too busy tending to the whole 5 patrons at the bar (who had drinks when I went up there to inquire about the 8, 10 year old boys sitting patiently waiting for at least 15 minutes on theirs....then was disrespect by the manager and told to not roll my eyes at her; Well when her reply was "OH" that is what my reply will be). BTW that managers name is Julie. Now the waitress who busted her tail was Caty she was doing the best she could, considering the manager wasn't helping her and the other waitress was brand new today (strange that the new waitress did not even know the managers name!) For a real visual here... 5 patrons at Bar. 2 other booths with 3 people at each....the rest was our baseball team....a booth of 8 boys and a section of 13 adults and 4 smaller kids. I guess as a manager I would be helpful as we brought in a pretty big crew and a good amount of revenue at a slower time....and we are all from Fargo! read more

As a fan of local eateries over chains, I finally had the opportunity to check out Peppers. It was on my list for a while, and I was eager to give it a shot. However, upon entering, I was unimpressed with how tight it feels inside due to how sectioned off the interior is. I felt our table area was cramped with everyone else getting seated in the same tight area. It was fine, but I like space. Then, our host (who couldn't be older than 15) didn't offer us popcorn, but every other table around us had some. Our waiter didn't ask either. There aren't a lot of menu items, so I figured I'd chalk it up to "do a few things great" instead of "do a lot of things mediocre." The food was fine but it was not worth the price. A burrito with a few "fixins" for nearly $12!? Six chicken wings (while flavored and cooked very well) for $11!? Bottom of the bag french fries (that remind me of McDonalds, which are good) and a french dip for $12!? All the food was fine and tasted good...my friends and I were just left wanting more for that price. Service was great and friendly. Bottom line: great place to probably grab a beer and apps with friends (and maybe watch a game) but not a great place for a full meal. read more
