Every time my husband and I travel, we are always on the lookout for a Pepper Palace. This location is on The Island of Pigeon Forge, tucked away on the right hand side down the walkway when you come in from the tram. We were greeted by all of the employees and were helped out with some recommendations and tastings. They weren't pushy but very helpful with finding new flavors. We love Pepper Palace and always buy hot sauce from them. We ended up picking 3 bottles and one of the employees told us that there was a buy 3 get 1 free promo. It wasn't listed on any signs so we were very grateful that she told us about it! This was definitely one of the best Pepper Palace experiences we have ever had. 10/10 wonderful staff! I've been to Pepper Palace in multiple states and the staff is always very friendly and knowledgeable about the product they sell. This franchise has some of the best hot sauce and barbecue sauce I've ever had. This time I bought a spicy garlic honey sauce and it's probably the best sauce I've ever had! You can try any sauce they have before buying and they have all spice levels. They also have matching spices for the sauces. This is definitely a must try when you are in pigeon forge. read more

We thought Pepper Palace was a great place! Huge variety of hot sauces, ribs, wing sauce, BBQ sauce and even olives and pickles. The young man behind the counter was really helpful and recommended a number of different items that fit our taste. There are spoons and tasting stations in the middle of the store and there's honestly something for everyone. From sweet to savory and from very mild to full on reaper and more. While we were there you could buy four items and receive the lowest cost item for free. We took advantage of the sale. Highly recommend. read more

Pretty decent selection of sauces of all types. A family member picked up some good hot sauces. I grabbed two bottles of BBQ sauce - a TN Smoky Mtn Bourbon, and a grilled watermelon one. Both were really good! The bourbon has gone well on grilled burgers, even When I first went they were out of the watermelon, other than the tasting bottle. Turns out their shipments come on on Thursdays, so if they are out of something when you go, check back on Thursday if you can. read more

Came In and yelled pepper palace is amazing and the rude employee yelled you didn't say it right !!!!! He then proceeded to tell me you must spend 20.00 -- just rude - do not recommend--- and then to see all the hungry people fingering all the chips - double dipping --- just gross! read more

This place is great. A store dedicated to hot sauces, bbq sauces, rubs and marinating mixes. They have it all, hot, mild, sweet, smoky, combination, they have sauce flavors that you never even thought of before. HOLY SHIT THIS PLACE IS SPICY. IT IS NO JOKE. i tried the flash bang (the spiciest thing in the store). it went down okay at first, minor tingling in my mouth. THEN IT HIT ME. for the next half hour, I couldn't move as my SO got me 2 water bottles and 2 cartons of milk from that place (at 2$ a pop. it was worth every penny). You have to sign a waiver before trying and by god it's fucking necessary or people would die and sue. The next day, I tried the XXXtreme spice salsa (i'm an idiot) and actually thought i was going to die outside the store. I was immobile for another half hour while the same SO got me more milk and water. Moral of the story, don't be an asshat and try those things thinking you're the shit. For reference: I am super asian and enjoy an unhealthy level of spice in my average day to day cuisine. (think sriracha with side of food) and I still died. I think I have a stomach ulcer from this whole experience. Personally, I would not step foot into that place ever again. But you should go and try out their other stuff I guess. read more

Free chips to try many samples, from mild to burn your mouth off where you need to sign a waiver first. Take your time, try a few samples. The guy behind the counter can also help. If you try something too hot, they sell milk for a couple bucks. The Gatlinburg Tennesse hot sauce has good flavor, it's one of the samples in a blue bottle. Regarding the salsas, this is the order to try the Pepper Palace brands...Not Sweat X-Hot, Emperor Scorpion, Death By Salsa. The last one will burn your mouth off, took me a month to finish the jar putting small amounts in soups and pastas. . read more

The man who owns/works here is EXTREMELY rude. When my girlfriend and I walked into the store we were the only two there and the man rolled his eyes at us when we walked in. As we walked around the store he stood behind the counter with his arms crossed glaring at us. When we found some hot sauce that we wanted to try, we asked him what the procedures were and he talked to us like we were stupid. I asked how to open the chip container and he raised his voice at me, luckily my girlfriend figured it out lol. We continued around the store which is nicely kept and has a good variety. As we were leaving, a big group of people with teenage kids walked in. One of the teenagers accidentally mistook behind the counter as part of the taste testing area (which can be done easily because there are chips and spoons on that side). When she did this the man decided to berate her in front of her entire family, and other guests at the store. He was saying: "I DONT REMEMBER HIRING YOU HERE!" Then he proceeded to slam his keys on the counter and said "MAKE SURE TO LOCK UP LATER BECAUSE IM LEAVING." Anyways the store itself is nice, but the owner/employee who works there is off his rocker. read more

My husband really liked this store, but he loves spicy stuff! I can't give a personal opinion on the flavors they had because I don't do spicy stuff. It was a plus that you were able to taste test before you bought. They didn't have a taste test for everything but there were a lot you were able to taste test. The guy that was working that day was very friendly, even found out that he had been to our hometown in IN. Some prices were high but we were able to buy a jar of salsa for $10. They not only sold hot sauce and salsa. The also had spices, pickled items, BBQ sauce, butters, jellies, condiments, etc. read more
