Sauce and seasoning galore! Bunch of options to choose from. From mild all the way to ghost pepper, they have it all. If you want to try a sample of their ghost pepper hot sauce. You actually have to sign a waiver, sheesh! That says it all. Located in the square of the city market. You will find something here. They dont have any small travel size bottles, so if you need to go through airport you, will not be able to pass through with one of their bottles. read more

We had a bunch of extra time to play in Boston before our flight, and after following my daughter and her boyfriend into all kinds of stores, we found one that's just for me. Great selection, amazing help tons and tons and tons of flavor the more you buy the better the deal it was just perfect save for one thing. I didn't remember that they were gonna be too big to carry on the plane so I had all my sauce taken. Great service, knowledgeable, staff and a fun place to be very light. read more

This is located down the stairs in a basement across from famous Faneuil Hall in historic Boston. They have a wide selection of sauces, rubs, salsa and seasonings. The staff was friendly and helpful. We purchasd four items, as they had a buy 3 and get 1 free promotion. I think their sweet bourbon glaze is fantastic on grilled chicken. I will be back. This is a chain, which has about 160 locations according to what I read online. read more

A full store of sauces and seasonings? Can this place get any better? The customer service was amazing, in my experience. What really put them over for me was the ability to sample everything on their shelves, without question. Literally everything they sell could be taste tested. I unlocked an apple season/rub that I would have never known about if I hadn't visited the store. Highly recommend!! read more

Super amazing find!!! Found this on Yelp and the owner was super helpful. He showed me a bbq sauce that was flaming hot but also tasted good. I asked for the hottest hot sauce and man did that did not disappoint. Great find and in a easy area to get to. The buy 3 get 1 free is amazing deal ! read more

Pepper Palace - Pepper sauce - Herbs & Spices Near Me - Boston, Massachusetts

Um, stupid... My son "loves" hot sauce. For Christmas, his girlfriend bought him a Hot Sauce sampler set of various hot sauces. So it made sense to take a tour around pepper palace. It's a few steps down from the street but once you enter, you're in hot sauce heaven. (Wait a second, anything hot would mean...) There's a few Bloody Mary mixes, salsa's, ketchups and sauces. Me, I'm not sampling anything but just browsing with my family. My wife decided to buy a gift for my son. The cashier says, this hot sauce is nice but the really hot stuff is in the fridge. You'll need to sign a waiver before you try this stuff. My son is like, gimme the pen! So, him and his girlfriend slather this stuff on a cracker. Then they take a big... bite. Their faces went from normal to "God, I need a doctor". Then, they ran to the Market and bought ice cream. If you're crazy enough to try the hottest hot sauce on the planet, then Pepper Palace should be in your Boston rotation. If you're looking for a bottle of funky hot sauce and aren't flying, then they have bottle of spicy hot pepper sauce for you. I'm good, thanks. read more

Pepper Palace - Oh boy - Herbs & Spices Near Me - Boston, Massachusetts

Huge selection of spices and sauces which you can actually try in the store. I prefer not to but if you are into that, I guess is a good perk. I bought a couple that looked interesting. Once I got home I realized that one was rancid. So gone. I called the store for a refund, but they promised to mail me a new one since I don't live in Boston. However they never made good in the promise, nor refunded my credit card. read more

Nice selection of hot sauces, salsas, powders, etc. Located on a lower level of one of the stores in the south market building, make sure you can climb 1 flight of stairs. There are descriptions of all the hot sauces to help you gauge level of spicy. There used to be samples before the pandemic, but hopefully that will return post pandemic! read more

Pepper Palace is the place to be for all your seasoning and hot sauce needs! This shop is small but it packs a lot into such a small space. Rows and rows of dry rubs and different kinds of marinades & sauces. They also allow you to taste test the various sauces, which was surprising in the age of COVID. Owner was super nice and helpful. Definitely the place to visit if you cook a lot and need something to "spice" up your dishes. We did some serious damage here. read more

If you want hot sauce this is the best spot to go that I've come across so far. There's a great selection of hot sauce here and my dumb self went and bought the hot sauce they call "the end". It's said to be the second hottest hot sauce on the planet. The gentleman that sold me the bottle was very awesome to me. I went out side to pose for a few pictures with my new prized hot sauce and , I dropped it. Splattered all over the hard cement. I had to get another one so I ran in and told the guy I need to buy another one because I dropped it and he just gave me another one free of charge. read more

I wanted to get a sampler pack for a pepperhead who would be taking it on a plane. What to do? Where to go? The store I got the idea at nearly a year ago no longer carried it among their stock and so I was lost. My sister reminded me of this store in Faneuil Hall Marketplace. Oh yeah! I've passed by many a time, but as a nonspicy person, it didn't really stick, but was just part of the background. Well, Pepper Palace to the rescue! I found one sampler set that fit the bill on one of their two shelves of TSA approved product. Sadly, it wasn't a local product, but beggars can't be choosers! It turns out that much of their wares are privately bottled by them. So I wish they'd get on the ball and take advantage of the niche of TSA sized sampler packs. They also carry the more popular hot sauces that their customer base inquires about. Samples abound with warnings to not double dip. It was a one man shop at the time I stopped by, and he was friendly enough. They carry not only sauces, but spice mixes and salsas. PP is located below ground level, reachable only by descending an exterior flight of stairs. There's sign outside their door advertising that if you buy 5 you get the 6th one free (mix and match). read more

You can taste basically everything this little dungeon of mouth pain sells. There's one sauce - The End. - that requires a waiver, and all others (even those which feature Carolina Reapers and Bhut Jolokias) are spicy but not outrageous. Not just hot sauces, ya see - shelves stocked with salsas, jams, jellies, BBQ sauces, chips, Damnation Popcorn (whatever that is) and more edibles of the spicy persuasion. Which I respect, lest we have that one cabinet that's full of unopened hot sauces because we like the label but will never find any reason for cracking the seal. To note: all of the sauces are made by Pepper Palace suppliers, so you won't find some of your particular indie favorites (ie, no Blair's 3am in sight), but that's okay because see the last paragraph. Seriously, you don't need that many hot sauces, pal. read more

Place is absolutely fantastic. What a selection! Awesome experience all around. Highly recommend if you're visiting Faneuil Hall...

They are a small store on the side of the Quincy Market. Check for the sign that leads to the stairs to go downstairs into the shop. Big collection of spices, sauces and pickled vegetables. I love hot sauces and ghost pepper is my favorite. Some of the sauces here are really hot!! So, try them at your own risk. Oh yes, you get to taste them, so enjoy! I asked the lady which is the hottest sauce and she pointed towards a small black bottle that said 'THE END'. Again, be careful with what you taste. It could be super hot/spicy. They had a buy 5 and get 1 free offer going on. However, I was looking for an assorted collection, which they ran out of. I will visit once again some day to buy the collection (also called as the gift pack, I guess). If you love hot sauces, this place is for you! Have fun and share your stories. read more

I was so looking forward to visiting the Pepper Palace. My friend who was visiting from overseas was specifically returning to the Palace in order to stock up on their sauces which is one of the highest ratings you could give a place. If you're willing to deal with the TSA over a hot sauce then it must be worth it. What dropped the rating for this place so heavily was the piss poor service. Imagine this: you're the only customers in the store. There are three employees, two younger ones jabbering away and an older one who sounded like a manager type. No one acknowledges you when you walk into their cramped store. Everyone continues talking as if you aren't there. They even talk around you as they move through the aisles. That was our experience. My friend, who had talked the place up like crazy, apologized for the horrid service. Have you ever heard of a customer apologizing on behalf of a store that obviously didn't care enough to begin with? It baffled me. Were the sauces good? Yes, they were quite tasty. Yummy enough to make up for the experience? Not even close. read more

a very rude man told us to leave because we didnt buy anything we were going to but got stereo typed cause we're black

Neat store for hot sauce lovers. Very clean. Also from the website updates I think it's brand spanking new cause no info on their website and I have to input this info on here. Huge variety so if you can't find your hot sauce in grocery stores near you, I suggest trying here. It's a 2-4 dollars more than My go to store in Los Angeles, but if you can't find it around you then just suck it up. You can buy 5 and get one free too. There are little samples all around poured in an open container w chips near by And bottles of soda or water for purchase. It's nice to try, but I rather have been able to dab a little on a chip because the idea of people "double dipping" makes me rather not. Many novelty snacks were sold out too so that was a bummer. Just empty boxes on the shelf. Like the crickets and other bugs. Will check out again to see if they have it next time in town. read more

This place is so fun! They have tons of samples of hot sauces, various salsas, and buffalo sauces. It was a fun way to escape the cold and get a snack in after walking around downtown. There isn't any water though (that I saw at least) so be prepared to have your tongue burning if you venture into their hotter sauces. They provide well-salted tortilla chips for you to put the sauces on. They have a hot sauce so spicy you have to sign a waver, but neither my friend nor I were brave enough to try it. A lot of the sauces were ~$10 or more, which isn't bad if you're looking for an edible souvenir or if you fall in love with one of the sauces. I really enjoyed the Jerk Caribbean hot sauce, the Mango Habanero hot sauce, and the medium lime salsa! read more

I went here tonight and the employee that was working was completely unprofessional. When we came in she was on the phone, and stayed on the phone for the duration of our time in the store. She ignored me when I asked her a question about the hot sauces. I asked a second time and seemed annoyed when I asked her because that meant she had to get off the phone. We didn't get to try any samples whatsoever! I even heard her on the phone saying that she hates working there. I am a hot sauce fanatic and I was completely disapointed! I ended up purchasing two bottles of hot sauce without getting to try them and I didn't even end up liking it so it was a complete waste of money I DO NOT RECOMMEND read more

We were touring around Boston Market area and saw this sign and decided to go downstairs! When we entered this place- this place was no joke! It reminded me of hot-sauce chemical lab, with bunch of hot sauces to sample and taste. They are organized by types of hot sauce. It had hot bbq sauces (blueberry infused hot sauce was surprisingly good), crowd favorite (as we were told) creamy garlic buffalo hot-wing sauces, bloody mary mix, salsa options, and just it goes on and on! There were some hot sauces I've never even heard of! It was very fun place to check out and I guarantee you- that this place will definitely entertain you by just looking at corny graphics on hot sauce label! (There's hot sauce bottle with pig butt hole toy attached to it, where if you squeeze it, RED poo-goo just comes out) read more

Such a fun shop! The owner is really knowledgeable about his products. Tell him the heat level and profile you like and he will find just what you need. He guided me to the most perfect medium-heat chipotle sauce. They also have BBQ and wing sauces, including a smoky wing sauce that is the best I have ever had. Prices are reasonable and you can sample just about anything. read more

Pepper palace is heaven for a hot sauce maniac like myself. Typically for a self-proclaimed hot sauce fanatic like myself, to encounter such the variety of hot sauces that pepper palace offers, I have to go on sketchy website that is most likely located half-way around the world and then I have to stalk the UPS guy for weeks waiting for my box of hot sauce to arrive. Luckily for me, glorious places like pepper palace exist! Located near Quincy Market, the drama of walking into pepper palace is only enhanced by walking down a flight of stairs and encountering the biggest bottle of hot sauce you will ever see in your life (granted its a statue). From there you walk into a massive space of the hottest and most burn-your-mouth (among other areas) selection of hot sauces and other products north of the Mason-Dixon line. From jalepeno hot sauces, to habanero hot sauces, to scotch bonnet hot sauces (my favorite), to light-your-insides-on-fire ghost chili hot sauces, pepper palace has it all. They also have many free samples to try before you buy. My only real gripe is their prices seem a little above average, but your paying for convenience and sensory overload. Support small businesses and go to pepper palace! read more

This is a heat adventurist must visit! Try everything and anything. They do sell TSA approved bottles (88ml or 3oz) and bigger.

Holy hot sauce Batman! Pepper Palace definitely caters to the those with a love of all things spicy! The shop is stocked entirely with hot sauces, spices, spicy cooking sauces, spicy salsas, spicy condiments, spicy snacks & candies, spicy drink mixes, and gift baskets. You name it and Pepper Palace probably has it. Most of the items are available for sampling. (Sampling the hottest of the hot will require the signing of a waiver.) One downside to Pepper Palace is the prices; definitely on the expensive-side as I am sure they have a high overhead being located right in Quincy Market. Some of the hot sauces I was looking at were priced at $14 for a standard-sized bottle. Another downside is Pepper Palace appears to have inventory problems as many items were sold out at the time of my last visit although I believe you can order many of these items on their website. read more

I've been ordering from pepper palace for quite a while now and really had good service. The last order it was way past the ETA of receiving the order so I decided to call in. Never heard anything. Then I went on to receive an email from some IT guy over there after I sent a followup email to them asking where my order was. They said they would ship it out ASAP. 2 days later I received a notification that it was being shipped. I asked for them to maybe throw something in for the inconvenience or maybe expedite the shipping. Never heard back and to the day I am still waiting on the order. read more

This place is Small shop but packed with selection. Tons of sampling from hot sauce to salsa, wing sauce and their nasal burning horseradish. Figure spending $12-16/bottle of hot sauce, most of which is made by the Pepper Palace. Plenty of other brands to choose from. I spent about a half hour just trying all the sauces. Well worth the stop if you love hot sauce or have a hot sauce lover in your life. read more

This place has by far the spiciest hot sauce I had. The heat level was high but the taste was not as high. I advise you try the other sauces before trying their hottest one. The sauce is literally called "The End" so try it at The End. PS you get a sticker for trying their hottest sauce read more

Gustovo did a fantastic job of schooling us in hot pepper sauce! He took the time and listened and watched us as we tested sauces!! He even did a hot pepper sauce that needed a waiver to be signed with my husband and son!! Awesome!! This was our second time to the shop and was a destination. We were not gonna go home until we found the shop! Left with plenty of hot sauces and husband an son survived the hot sauce challenge, just barley!!! Beware it kicks in a few minutes later!!! The kids wanted to taste various hot sauces as we are into spicy food. One of my sons really loves spicy food and was excited about the place. We were in the store for about 30 min and landed on a couple of sauces. We purchased a few, left the store and he dropped and broke one of them. We brought it back to find the same to replace, expecting to purchase it. They gave us a replacement at no cost. read more

Eclectic pepper products. From mildly spicy to one drop will do ya. Of course I tried the hottest shit in here and it didn't disappoint. Instant endorphin rush with solid 8 out of a 10. One of the hottest sauces I ever messed with. No water taken, it lasted well over 20 minutes from just one tiny drop. Prices are a touch high but you're paying for quality not quantity. Solid products. 4 stars for letting you try anything you want. 1 star removed for slightly higher than usual pricing. Drop everything by 3 to 5 dollars and you will receive a 5 star. read more

Located in Faneuil Hall next to Quincy Market, Pepper Palace is awesome for sauce lovers of all temperatures and flavors! There are seasonings, dry rubs, salsas, hot sauces, wing sauces and rib/BBQ sauces galore. They also carry various butters and jellies. Pepper Palace is based out of Sevierville, Tennessee. In the middle of the shop there are lots of sauces you can sample with tortilla chips or just put a dab on a plastic spoon and taste away! I appreciate that they do this because $9.95 and up for hot sauce isn't cheap. You are able to try a majority of them too. There were only a few I couldn't find in the sampling areas. The gentleman was very helpful in finding me a sweet but spicy sauce for someone as a Christmas gift. They have mild, hot, scorching hot, sweet, sweet & spicy, savory, smokey, etc. There isn't a mix you can't find! There's also a section of "collegiate" hot sauces (the bottles are labeled and decorated with various colleges - cute!).
