If anyone needs a good auto repair shop, I highly recommend Jim at Sparks Computerized Car Care…read more I went to see Jim based on local recommendations and the outstanding reviews on Yelp and I am so glad I did. I went in for a routine check up and thought my breaks needed work. It turns out, the breaks are fine, it was a bad water pump that was making noise in the front of the engine. Rather than charging me a ton of money to fix it, Jim took the time to call my VIN number into the manufacturer and found that my vehicle is still covered under the power train warranty. He advised me to go to the dealership for the repairs where they fixed it under warranty at no charge! Jim also noticed that my tires were low on tread and had some cracking, he gave me an estimate for a new set of tires. I called around to many other places to shop for the best price (same tires) and he was hands down the best I could find. No one could even match his estimate. I am getting a set of brand new tires and my oil changed with Jim for $130 less than what the dealership wanted to charge me for the tires alone. Please, go see Jim at Sparks in Lake Zurich. He is an honest guy who knows what he is doing!

I'm a long-time customer here! The previous manager was an elderly American gentleman--kind,…read moreprofessional, and dedicated to providing excellent service; he always went the extra mile to resolve issues. However, the current manager is a Mexican guy named Jose who has a terrible attitude. He frequently dismisses customers--insisting on appointments a week in advance by claiming he's too busy--and treats people with utter disregard, arrogance, and rudeness. Not only did he insist I take a tire covered by insurance to Costco for replacement instead of handling it himself, but he also failed to fully fix an abnormal noise coming from the parking brake! I made an appointment a week in advance for repairs, yet he told me to take the car away without even inspecting it, claiming the job would take too long. He constantly makes excuses to shirk responsibility. I strongly advise against using this repair shop; this lousy individual has completely ruined what used to be an excellent business!

As anybody with a brand new car knows, that first scratch is really frustrating, especially when it is a huge one down to the bare metal. I brought the car in based on some reviews of some buddies at work and they looked at it immediately. Brett then gave me 2 options on how to tackle the issue, one being the "proper" insurance way where the whole door gets repainted and blended which was priced like a proper body repair- this is where most places would stop and give you no choice. He also gave the option to do a touch-up with a wet sand and and buff which was substantially cheaper, so cheap in fact that I decided to try it first and if it didn't meet my standards I wouldn't really feel like I lost out while doing the full door paint and blend. Well anyway I dropped the car off the next day in the morning and by lunchtime it was already done. Not only was the repair incredibly done, the whole car was cleaner than when I bought it new! This was actually several months ago and the repair is still as good as the day it was done. So the place isn't just great because they do good work, it's good because they don't just try and gouge you and actually give you options.

It's been 15 years (holy crap that's a long time) and my original Pontiac is long gone, I brought in my current car for its first major issue. I went to Belknap on a dealership recommendation and I recommend them to everyone. Also, they have a stop light in the parking lot! How cool is that?!

It started when we had an issue at an area dealer who quoted me a price that I felt was totally inappropriate for tires and told us we needed new brakes and brake pads for my wife's car when I did not believe that to be the case. When we stopped by Cary Tire & Auto Center, they were able to get us quality tires far cheaper and they confirmed that our brakes were not ready to be replaced yet. That single trip saved me over $1200 that an area dealership wanted for the same service... Also, the service has always been very pleasant, they have squeezed us in on short notice, and provided a rental vehicle when needed. I have recommended this business to numerous people and will continue to do so.

I once had my SUV in for some muffler noise. They actually sent me to another location that they thought could do the work for less and was their specialty. So after that I felt I could trust them.
