Yesterday I called & worked with Tim: he was patient & friendly & gave me a really great estimate, but no BMW parts... standard parts. I got my brake pads & serpentine belt from BMW (online sale price) and took the car to Big Brand Tires. What a deal: seriously the labor was less than 1 hour and much less than BMW + the work in guaranteed. Next week I'll go back to have the brake pads installed. If you're coming in, make an appointment and come with patience. There are always a lot of customers, and they stay booked. On this visit, I purchased LT285/60R18 BFG All-Terrain T/A KO3s, and they fit my truck perfectly. I have a 2-inch lift and had already done an alignment. On my first visit, I wish the initial employee had taken a little more time to walk through my questions, though he did say the tires would fit. When I came back for the install, Jose completely turned the experience around. He was professional, took the time to come out, listen, and double-check everything. He was honest about a possible slight rub and made sure I felt comfortable before moving forward. That customer service made a big difference. There was a small appointment mix-up, but nothing major. Wait was about an hour, which didn't surprise me given how busy they are. Overall, great service, tires look great, and I appreciate the team. Thanks to Jose and the American Tire crew in Ventura.
