I thought this was a sit down restaurant, which it is. But you pay up front at the register then sit down at the seat of your choice with you number. After standing their in the front not knowing what to do the lady at the front finally had told me. You have to pay for chips and salsa on the side. Got 2 fish tacos and 1 else pastor taco and side of chile verde. Tacos were big and decent. I didn't need 3. Lol The chile verde was just pork and not chile sauce. A bit disappointed on that because that's what makes chile verde and not just pork. Not bad. But not really good. read more

Pepes Tacos - Fish tacos and el pastor - Tacos Near Me - St. George, Utah

This is the place for your authentic street taco fix. Bring a friend so you can split an order of fish tacos and then get a couple of authentic street tacos each. Every single bite is delicious. We particularly enjoyed the carnitas, Al pastor, and carne asadas. We were surprised with the amount of fish in the fish tacos The sides are big enough for two people. Tacos are bigger than I've had from other places Restaurant is clean. Staff is helpful if you have questions about the menu. We're spreading the word to all of our friends that this is the place for tacos. read more

Pepe's Tacos was a very chill authentic Mexican restaurant. This is the perfect combo of sit down restaurant but keep it casual. I ordered the fajita quesadilla, which was really good! I think next time I'd like to try the asada fries. The staff here were extremely helpful and the dining area was very clean, which are what made the overall all experience jump to 5 stars. read more

There were not a lot of options in St. George for lunch on a Sunday, but Pepes was open. I am so glad we went here. I wasn't very hungry so only ordered one carne asada hard shell taco. My family had 3 shredded beef flour tortilla tacos, 3 carne asada flour tortilla tacos, and taquitos. All the food was amazing. I think the shredded beef tacos were the most popular followed by the taquitos. My hard shell taco was the best hard shell taco I have ever had. The taco shell must be made fresh there. You order at a counter and they bring the food out to you. The menu is displayed on tvs with plenty of room to decide what you want before getting to the counter. They have about 8 different meat options and you order the tacos individually so you can get one of each if you want! My only regret is not being more hungry! read more

I have a new favorite restaurant in St. George, Utah. We each had a chili verde chimichanga. They were great! As good as I had anywhere. The tomatillo sauce was very tasty. The pork was well-spiced. The shell was fried crispy. This is a very casual diner. You order off the menu on the wall. Food is served on aluminum plates. Very nice people. Good prices. Great food! read more

Great authentic Mexican food. Unfortunately they do not serve alcohol (not even beer) so we do take out.

This place is good, like really really good. We were in St George hiking and actually were looking at another restaurant but it was closer when we arrived. This turned out to be great luck as we headed to Pepe's and had some of the best Mexican food I've had in a long time, maybe ever. And they had a variety of items that you could choose and select your own meat as well as taco options that you could buy by the taco. Our family got three shredded beef, four Carne Asada tacos one order of Al pastor taquitos, and an order of chips and salsa. The carne asada was delicious and the tostadas we perfectly crisp. You could tell that everything, including the salsa, we're all made fresh on site. As we were finishing up our meal on a Sunday afternoon at the place begin to fill up so you could tell that word is getting out around Pepe's being a top notch Mexican option. If you're in St George, don't sleep on Pepe's! read more

I got chicken enchiladas with mole sauce that were delicious. The chicken was tender white meat (breasts). The refried beans and Mexican rice were good. Hubby had two hard-shell carne asada tacos that he liked. He ate most of my meal too. I want to try their flan and churros. read more

I've had a hard time finding a taco spot that I absolutely love. At least fast casual. This is hands down my favorite in town. I may have gone on a Friday and back 2 more times in less than a week. I've had the California burrito. It's not dry. The carne asada is excellent. The pico is cut well (no giant chunks of onion or tomato). The Al pastor tacos are LEGIT. Thick cuts of pork. Juicy. It's so so good. I also had a single bite of the fish taco. I'd totally get another. The one downside. I feel like it's on the expensive side. Obviously it's not holding me back. read more

This is our favorite Mexican food place in St. George! I almost don't want to read it that great so the word doesn't get out how good the food is! Beth's thing on the menus are the shrimp tacos, the fish tacos, El Pastore, and the loaded Carne Asada fries! Huge serving sizes great price and the family that runs. It is so friendly and awesome! read more

We have been so happy since finding Pepe's! With so many taco places in town it can be hard to make a choice on where to go. We don't stress over that choice anymore! We just go to Pepe's. Pepe's is always great! The flavor of the meat is wonderful, doesn't matter if you get chicken, beef, al pastor, or lenqua it's all seasoned perfectly. The restaurant is clean and the staff are friendly. Oh, did I mention the great churros? read more

Pepe's Tacos was amazing! We got carne asada fries and 2 carnitas tacos. Both were delicious! The tacos were bigger than expected which made it even more awesome!!! Hours were different online than what's posted on their door. I would call before heading there if you're not sure what time they close. We were the last customers and they waited til we were done. They were so nice. Excellent customer service. 10/10 recommended. Definitely coming back to this place again read more

If you know about St George and how many Mexican restaurants there are then you should know which ones to avoid and the ones that deserve your business. Pepe's never disappoints my family and always prepares their food with great flavor and the value is better than all other restaurants in town. It's a nice, quiet spot for anyone passing through. Never a long wait either, food is prepared fresh and delivered to your table after ordering. read more

Great food, wonderful tortas and asada fries. Would highly recommend the Al Pastor Torta!

Five stars for very tasty food. There's lots of Mexican spots in St. George and if you like it on the authentic side you'll love Pepes. The Chile Verde burrito is just what Chile Verde is meant to be, tender meat, rich flavors and a real comfort food. The burrito is huge so come with an appetite. Al Pastor and Carne Asana tacos hit the spot. The meat was moist and flavorful, served with cilantro & onion garnished with limes and radish. If you visited this location when it was Coyotes the inside has been updated with improved tables and seating, lighting and better signage, and most importantly an enlarged menu. It has a clean, freshened feel and the increased food options and how delicious they are puts Pepes on my favorite list for casual and satisfying eating. read more

We stopped by today and ordered their street tacos. They were very good. We tried one of each and can't decide which was best. We will definitely stop again. These tacos ($3.00 each) were delicious! They used double 6" tortillas and a bunch of meat as pictured! I also ordered taquitos ($5.99) for 3 but so good I forgot to take a picture! The food wasn't too salty which I was happy about and the thickness of the tortillas were perfect wasn't too think and wasn't too thin that they would rip.
