if I could've put zero stars, I would've. my husband and I stopped to use the restroom and in the men's restroom on the door someone wrote "N*ggers die" in big, bold, black marker. The owners did not care about how uncomfortable it made us or other black people that were also stopping to use the bathroom. This is more than likely a sundown town, so please be aware and do NOT stop here at night. More than just a gas station! I often stop at Pep-Up as I travel back and forth to the Eastern Shore. This is a one-stop shop. You can get basic groceries, food made to order, and alcohol {not rubbing alcohol }. From their breakfast to lunch or dinner, I've never gotten a bad meal. The staff is very friendly. The bathrooms are always clean (at least when I go). This place is a hidden jewel, especially if you are traveling and want to take a quick rest. I do not recommend Pep-Up on Route 50 I walked in and watched the lady making my order. She did not have gloves or a mask on, i watched her continuously cough as well as itch her nose then go back to making my order without washing her hands. At that point I walked out with out my order which was large! I order from here very often but at this time they are very unsanitary especially in the time that we are currently in with COVID and I will not be ordering again! read more

As an oil customer, sometimes it pays to shop the best price. Definitely NOT in my experience purchasing heating oil. For a difference of just $11 dollars, we went with the cheaper oil provider, Aero Energy for a recent delivery, instead of Pep Up, Inc. HUGE MISTAKE!! I should've stayed with Pep Up, Inc. With any emergency, even with Aero oil in my tank, Pep Up was the place to call. Within literally seconds, they call right back and answer all of my questions about the furnace (this is the first time we've ever had oil heat). Not only that, the next day, we always get a personal call from John, to follow up on the service call to make sure all of our needs were met. What other company will do that, especially if you aren't currently using their product?!? Pep Up, Inc. does though!! I will never take my business elsewhere EVER again. I own a small condo in Delaware that uses propane for a fireplace ONLY. This is my only possibility of doing business with Pep Up. I have not used the fireplace in months and do not plan on using it this Winter 2014. I have only 2 options with Pep Up; 1. Pay $8/month to keep the connection open should I wish to use the service (which I do not) or 2. Pay Pep up $150.00 service fee for disconnection. This makes no sense. I want my service disconnected that is all... my only options being $8/month minimum or a disconnect fee of $150.00 for a service I haven't used in likely more than 1 year nor plan to use again in the near future doesn't even seem legal. I have called a dozen times and the nice ladies that answer the phone apologize but continually give me only those 2 options (pay for a service you don't use nor plan to use). I have no options since Pep Up owns the service for my condo - Doesn't seem like a free market to me. Anyone else have a similar situation? read more
