I just regret we had already eaten and were just popping in for a quick coffee perk to go. We will definitely be back. If I'm gonna be brokenhearted that the space no longer houses my favorite little indoor farmers market, then this is the type of new tenant that makes me a little less sad & bitter about it! The service was friendly and really fast, we loved that it was busy and they had plenty of employees to take care of customers. Unfortunately they didn't have a dark roast drip but the medium roast we got was good. Also their selection of tchotchkes, postcards and local souvenir/memorabilia was a real standout... for two people who typically don't buy that sort of thing , other selections were clever, fun/ny, and attractive . Both of us determined next time we're back in town The Bakist will definitely be the place to pick up local/Chesapeake Bay souvenirs (as well as coffee and baked goods!)

The sandwich was stuffed into a tiny box making it impossible to remove without falling a part, she ordered a game egg and cheese and I received a wet ham slop It was wet for some reason and no egg so not sure what this was The whole experience was gross and very expensive for food I couldn't eat and a drink that was spilled before delivered

It was about a year…read moreago in June 2025 my girlfriend & I visited this cute coffee shop at the Queenstown Outlet Mall. We were on the way to my friend's annual get together every year in late June at her family's eastern shore house near St. Michael's. Unfortunately, 2025 was the worst year for the trip for various reasons since I started going in 2016. My girlfriend drove us out there. I was done with my 1st week of chemo on that Friday. Of course traffic is horrible coming from Howard County (oncology office) on a Friday in the summer in the early afternoon. We got across the Bay Bridge, and I was monitoring traffic saying there was a major delay due to an accident just past Queenstown Outlet Mall. I suggested stopping to WiFi and get some coffee since we were both tired. Staff was friendly. Prices were pretty reasonable compared with most places in the DC-Baltimore area. I got some coffee drink, perhaps a dirty iced chai. Wow, this coffee shop beats almost any other in the BAWA area. I connected to their WiFi for maybe an hour to check my Fantasy baseball, emails, etc. But I was upset because I left my computer charger at the chemo chair. Traffic cleared up decently enough, and we left to go to Walmart in Easton to get a universal charger for my laptop. Unfortunately, my g/f car died in Easton, had to have towed to Annapolis, which was the start of what ended up being a bad weekend. Thankfully, my 3 rounds of chemo was a success. This annual trip in 2026 is almost guaranteed to be better. I'll need to revisit A Little Lovely Coffee House again, but this year's trip the timing will be too late.

Having said that, it was pretty well run and after waiting in line I found two registers waiting and was able to order a variety of baked goods and a fresh sandwich, which were prepared for me quite speedily. I wouldn't expect to be in and out immediately at peak times, but for me it was maybe forty-five minutes to wait in line, get food, and eat my sandwich. They offer good options for special dietary needs. The vegan sandwich is based on Old Bay marinated tofu, and they are not kidding about that. It is really, really Old Bay flavored. The tomato and avocado livens things up, but honestly the best part of the sandwich was still the sourdough bread, which is fair enough for a bakery. The spread of pastries I acquired was resplendent in quality and variety, and I will be happy to continue trying out all the Black Market locations to see which one is the most convenient.

The efficiency from start to finish was amazing. The breakfast sandwich was awesome. The sourdough bread was perfect and all of the ingredients were really fresh. The presentation of the assembled and packaged sandwich was a ten. Though so many menu items looked delicious, I had to try the oatmeal cream pie- it was amazing. The cookies were buttery and soft. The cream filling was soft and sweet. I would definitely return for another breakfast sandwich.
