Highly recommend this shop of friendly guys who are so honest! Took my dad's car in for what I thought would be new brakes and rotors but they came back with the news that his front pads were good and his rotors were slightly warped but we're are. Mucho gracias Joe and Thomas! Your shop rocks! read more

Pep boys just told me that "their shop was out of business after you bought the tires" so "your warranty was effectively shredded" Then he told me that because we didn't get accident insurance through THEM there's nothing he can do Even though the tires came with a 65,000 mile warranty, they don't want to fulfill it. Told me the manager would contact me to help and instead I was left on hold for half an hour and never heard from them at all read more

Pep Boys Automotive, 8103 Marbach Road, San Antonio, TX 78227 Two's only because the technician was very professional. Service was excellent and the technician that waited on me was very professional. I do think I was overcharged for a taillight bulb replacement costing $44.52, but that's ok, it was better to get the light bulb replaced vs. risking getting stopped by a policeman and possibly getting a ticket. On the bill, it looks like I paid twice: $19.99 for Light bulb installation package install labor and $19.99 for small bulb installation labor. I don't understand why I paid two labor fees. The small light bulb should have been included in the Light bulb installation package, that's why it states - PACKAGE. There were no Senior Citizen discounts, which I understand. But the total price of $44.52 for one small bulb installation was ridiculous and quite expensive for a small light bulb that cost $1.99!! Again, the service was excellent, but I am terribly disappointed with the overall cost of installing one small light bulb. I don't know if I will be returning to Pep Boys again, I should have read the reviews first. read more

Pep Boys - Pep Boys Invoice - Auto Repair Near Me - San Antonio, Texas

Excellent customer service from this location and very professional. Kudos to the gentlemen at the front desk keeping me informed of all updates with clear communication. Special extra thanks to Robert and Ray for dedicating many hours to complete a wheel alignment, tire rotation, oil change, and the replacement of a rear cam/cast adj bolt/arm. I will definitely be a returning customer. read more

They fixed my alignment, gave my car a tune up & found an oil leak that I didn't even know I had! Thank you guys again! (: they took a long time but the end results were amazing! My baby drives smooth now read more

Amazing crew! Patrick & his team are so good at their craft. Before they work on a part they show you first what is wrong and tell you some alternative before working on the car. read more

There's no point in putting in an appointment at 8:00 am GUY DOESN'T GET HERE TIL 9 Horrible experience read more

Quick reliable tire fixing. Cannot go wrong. Friendly and competent. Fast turnaround on car repair. read more

Amazing service Thomas and Mario are great. They are honest and don't try to push things that are not needed. Thank you.

I came to the shop for brake service and I received recommendation letter from the mechanic then Waldy who runs the register recommended an extra part that was not on the listed which would cost more in labor and parts. I accepted the labor cost and brought the parts the next day but he decided to charge me double. I knew the price was wrong because the parts store had a Pep Boys next to them and I checked the price. They are is a deceitful and I suggest that you should double check the price. read more

Brought my truck in for a front end alignment. Everything went well and smooth. My technician was John, and he was very good and very fast. Truck was pulling to the right after getting upsized new tires, but now it drives as straight as before. No pulling. Great job! read more

This place has a few unique talents, service is not one of them I would stick to local garages that have good reviews for work, not PB I have had negative experiences with many of their rebuilt parts from the parts counter, but, they do have items that other local parts stores did not.. Motors, computers, and some more common parts that other stores had to order 2 days away. This availability despite claimed "lifetime"warranty included will pose a question to someone like me. If the car is needed tomorrow and a possibly inferior part (like power steering pump) is available today and goes out next month causing me to replace it again, and again. would it have been more worthwhile to rent a car while a different store orders a more reliable brand of pump (even rebuilt) causing me to only work on it once? These questions have accompanied me raising four kids with cars, and driving 2 of my cars over 300,000 miles read more

This place always disappoints. All I ever need from them is an oil change and they take literally 5 hours to do it I've been waiting in their lobby for that long. Brought my car in at 11 and I'm still here waiting on my vehicle it is now 2:41. This is ridiculous I would say I was a walk in today but I've also made appointment here before and they take just as long. It shouldnt take that long to get a simple job done. Also they can't complain about being short staffed because their front workers are sitting on their butts watching videos super loud on their phone that i can hear them not working on anything! Sadly my warranty is with these people and I have to come here to get something done. DO NOT COME HERE! read more

I set an appointment up for 9am, got here 15 min early to check in. I asked the guy at the front how long it would take he said 2 hours for 4 tires to be changed. I walked to the nearby ihop to waste sometime. I walk back it's 1045 and my car still has not even moved to be taken in for service. read more

After a failed effort at three different visits to Firestone, we ended up finding ourselves going to Pepboys to have our brakes checked out on and new tires for both our cars. Anthony, the manager, took great care of us and we got out with both vehicles at $1700. True professionals and they just earned a loyal customer. Will be recommending them to all my friends! read more

Got my car fixed there recently. I had a tune up and oil change, and needed to fix the pipe that connected my gas tank to the gas intake (where you put the gas in the car). They quoted me the part and it was pretty expensive ($250+), but I needed to have it done so I paid for it all up front and waited for them to call me when it was done. The day after, I came in and got the car. All fixed, but it turned out the part they got was the wrong one, and I needed one that cost less than $50. They gave me a refund of the difference, including tax, and I was much happier. Since I'd paid up front, they could have just let me take my car without saying anything and I'd have never known. Kudos for honesty and integrity. Their auto shop is neat and clean. I noticed they clean up after each car they work on. Nothing laying around, tools are put away. The service I got was good. The mechanic even came over to say hello and briefly talk about the repair. There was usually at least one service rep at the desk, and if the service desk was unmanned, it was only for a minute or two at a time. All in all I was very satisfied. They're my new regular mechanics. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I went online and scheduled an appointment for an oil change. About an hour before my appointment time I get a call from Pep Boys, they wanted me to reschedule my appointment because they were TWO DAYS behind on doing oil changes! They actually said that to me! How in the hell are they two days behind on performing oil changes? REALLY! What's the point in scheduling an appointment, if the people you hire can't do the job they were hired for! read more

Awesome service! Went just for an oil change and they did an inspection for me without any extra charges. They would've changed my air filter too but they didn't have any in stock. read more

I had a punctured tire and rolled in 45 minutes before they closed. There was a car in need of repair ahead of me, but these guys still managed to replace my tire in time with a similar model at a reasonable price before they closed. This was a real life saver, being on the road from California to visit family in Corpus Christi! read more

My vehicle part down at the gas station, one of the works came over to see what he could do to help, I had to get the car towed over to pep boys and the windows in my car was down and it was raining, they went as far as putting a plastic bag over the window.. thank you so much for your help in this matter.. read more

I went to Pep Boys for some truck repairs and Victor was so nice and patient with me and what repairs I needed. I told him I needed my truck for work and he had the mechanics work on my truck right away. I was able to drive away the same day and I was very satisfied with Pep Boys. Thank You Victor!!!! read more

After going to the location on San Pedro, I was told to make an appointment. I drove all the way back the next day and then was told that they didn't have the adapters for my tires. I made an appointment for the location on Marbach which was across town. I got there and they said there alignment machine was down. I asked why didn't they call me and let me know? All they could say was sorry. On a wild goose chase. A free alignment has cost me more in gas money. read more

1 and 1/2 hour oil change with no one in front. Wow! Unbelievable, crap- tastic service. Save your time and money, go elsewhere.

These guys were exceptionally nice and courteous when we were in a jam. It was about 8:50pm and instead of turning us away, they happily patched up our tire and even place it back on the car. And all through out, all the gentlemen there were very kind. Thanks Jerry and Eric! I don't know the others guys names but whoever was there 8/15/13 8:50pm. Thanks guys! read more

Had a hour to close and didn't what to help me with a flat. Now I have to drive a hour and half with a spare.

Great service. Great team. This service department is always willing to help and will even accommodate budgets by not forcing all the work into you at once, like some dealerships do. Great customer service read more

What's the point of making an appointment if people who get there after you leave before you and it takes 5 hours to do simple brake pad changes. Took the dude an hour just to put my two tires back on my car. Not to mention you wasted an hour of my time with an inspection I didn't ask for to tell me shit I didn't want changed. read more

I ordered something online. Got an email saying it was ready. I went later that day to pick it up, and they didn't even have it. They told me to come back the next day. The day after that, I received an email saying my order had been cancelled. I called the store, and they told me I had a "bad phone number." The guy said he had called twice, got a busy signal, and automatically cancelled my order. I wasn't on the phone. So, $16 down the drain. I'll never go here again. read more

I had a great experience at this Pep Boys. I needed some brake work done and called several places. They gave me the best rate of all the places I called. I was able to bring my own brake pads in, so they just charged me for labor. Robert was very helpful from start to finish. He explained different price points, and called me before beginning any work on my car to make sure it was ok. They were even able to get me a great deal on new rotors, saving me a lot of money. I will definitely bring my car here again if I need any more work done. read more

Very disappointed. The 3-5 day repair took a week and a half because they forgot to order the part! They didn't tell me that until I called to see if it was done on day 5. read more

This location is amazing! I unfortunately bought a bad alternator and needed it replaced ASAP. Pedro was great and had my account set up before I even got there. he also had the price set up and was better that what I had expected. My truck ended up losing power in the middle of 5 o'clock traffic and I needed towing assistance. I called the store and option 5 directed me to someone who could help and towed me to the Pep Boy location that I wanted. When I got there, Sergio took care of me and made sure my truck was done before closing. All of the staff was very friendly. If you need any help at all, Pedro and Sergio will be the right guys to go to !! read more

Went for alignment with coupon and was charged a "Shop Fee". this is like going to a barber and being charged for using the scissors. Be aware of what they are doing and hidden fees. They removed the fee when we made a stink but that fee negated the coupon. We also never got a readout on the alignment so I called and found that they have not been able to find our paperwork....really....isn't this 2016 and everything computerized? Can't tell if work was done now or not? read more
