Every time I come into sun auto it seems like I'm unwanted. When I tell them my issue the front desk person Richard always tries to find a quick solution like go somewhere else or go try this disregarding my issue. I went for an oil leak and they told me they couldn't find the leak so go drive around for a few days and maybe they'd find it. I take it to another shop and they can immediately find the issue. As well as this location refused to show or support me as my car was left in a worse condition than when I dropped it off. I asked to see any type of footage just to ensure that nothing happened on their end. I was denied. As a customer I feel unwanted and I will not be coming back. read more

I took my car in to fix my emergency brake. Not only did they not fix it they found "other problems" that needed immediate attention. I took it in a second time and they replaced the emergency brake pads but still could not tell me why my release the brake bell and light still came on. I took my car to their competitor and it was fixed within the hour. read more

My son in law and my boyfriend have used this business and had problems. My son in law went in for an oil leak and $1500 later they fixed everything BUT the leak. My boyfriend went in for an oil change and was told he had a leak. We never had stains in his parking spot until after he left. Turns out they unscrewed oil pan so it would leak. Don't know if it was incompetence or intention so he would spend more money. read more

Called in advance to ask about getting safety inspection for registration renewal. Confirmed that it's done on a "walk-in" basis -- no appointment necessary -- Mon-Fri between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., and on Sat between the hours of 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. So, I arrived on Friday at 2:40 and was told that they couldn't do it because they were "booked for the day." Since they were "booked for the day," I asked if I had needed to make an appointment, contrary to what I had been told on the phone. The answer was that I didn't need an appointment, but that there were 2 cars ahead of me for safety inspections and that therefore their inspector could not complete my inspection before he leaves for the day at 3 p.m. read more

***DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE. DISHONEST MANAGERS/SERVICE REPRESENTATIVES. DID NOT PERFORM THE LABOR AND REPLACEMENT THEY CHARGED ME FOR*** I brought my truck in because it would not start. First, they claimed to have replaced my fuel pump and some relays that were bad. I found out which relay they replaced (they left the old one just loosely sitting out of place in my engine compartment) and became skeptical that my fuel pump was the reason my truck would not start. When I looked under my truck to see if it looked like they had performed the fuel pump replacement, everything looked untouched (pictures attached). I confronted Sun Auto and they continued to claim they performed the labor (dropped the fuel tank, removed the necessary bolts, etc) and replaced the fuel pump. even citing that I had a warranty on the part and could get it replaced if it went out again. I sent the pictures to another mechanic, and he agreed that it looked as though the necessary bolts, fuel line clips, and straps holding my fuel tank which would need to be undone for a fuel pump replacement had not been touched or worked on. I then confronted Sun Auto again even showing them the pictures I took, and they changed their story and said that they removed my bed to replace the pump. I told them that this still does not explain why the fuel hanger assembly bolts and fuel line clips still have the normal dirt and grime that a 20+ -year-old truck accumulates over time. There would be some indication that the truck had been worked on (scuff marks on the tank or around the fuel hanger assembly, wrench marks around the bolts, etc). They then CHANGED THEIR STORY AGAIN saying that they replaced a different part called the "In-line fuel pump" and said that it was located under the intake manifold of the engine. They conveniently remembered this detail after I left their shop the first time I confronted them and didn't bother to call or inform me that they changed a different part. I called 2 other mechanics and found a fuel system diagram to see if this is a legitimate part for my make/year/model of truck. NO MY TRUCK DOES NOT HAVE THIS PART. I then called Sun Auto to verify the exact part/part number that they claimed to replace because they conveniently did not have it on my invoice. The service representative told me it is Part# E2290673 which after looking up, is just another in-tank fuel pump (so not the in-line fuel pump that they last claimed to have replaced). I also asked about getting a receipt of the fictional In-line fuel pump they bought for my specific model of truck but was told they would have to "look into my files". They claimed to have spent hours trying to figure out what was going on with the truck and when it was just a $16 relay that needed to be replaced, they decided just to charge me for a fuel pump replacement to compensate for their time. I am very frustrated with the changing stories, contradictions, and lies that they have told. Needless to say, never take your vehicle to Sun Auto because they are untrustworthy. This is a perfect example of why mechanics and shops get a bad name. Who knows how many other customers have been scammed out of their money? If you are a previous customer of Sun Auto, I suggest you take your business elsewhere and verify that they performed the work they claimed to have done. If this review gets a response from the owner, I have no interest in discussing this matter unless you are willing to reimburse me for the part and labor for the replacement that you did not perform. Your managers and other service representatives have continuously lied and have wasted hours of my time. This is clearly a reflection of your character based on the poor choice of people that you employ. To the other potential customers looking for an auto shop with good reviews, save yourself the time and money and take your vehicles elsewhere. read more

Was told the work would take an hour and a half. Left my car there and was dropped off by their staff to be picked up when my car was ready. 3 hours later my car was ready told I would be picked up in 20 minutes to get my car. They arrived an hour later. The price was good had I known it would take 4 hours I would have gone a different day and not been 2 hours late to work. read more
