AMAZING EXPERIENCE at this location! Rolled up here at 8AM on a Saturday and was immediately greeted by Johnny who brought my car into the bay. He saw I had my 3 kids in the car, so brought back 4 bottled waters for all of us which I greatly appreciated! He kept me on top of everything that was occurring during the oil change. Had to go back the next day because they forgot to put the oil drip pback on. When I arrived the missing part was sitting outside the shop. When they tried to put the part back on, they realized they did not have the bolts to put it back on. After 1.5 hours they found the parts I needed at Autozone. read more

I just went to get an oil change on the may 16, 2025 and the service was quick but two days later on may 18, 2025 i turned on my car and there was a loud noise coming for my engine like bubbling sound and now my check engine light is on and i don't have any oil in my car mind you this is a 2025 car and i haven't had any issues with this car the first oil change was done by the dealership for free, this was only my 2nd oil change since ive had the car very bad service the need to hire new people hear that actually know what they're doing instead of joking around and eating snacks read more

I went to take 5 on culebra rd. To get an oil change on my 2017 Audi A3. Right off the bat we started wrong, when they see me pull up they waived me into the pit and was called in to finally speak with someone 40 minutes later. They finally get started on my car and when get called in to show me their work and oil level and air filter, I noticed technicians all over my car (above and below the car) I noticed they were messing with the dipstick a little too much even when showing me the stick. They all seemed tense and were freaking out going back and forth on things that I couldn't hear them say. I had a bad feeling something was going on but not once did they disclosed there was issues with me.  When paying out they gave me a discount for waiting so long and being patient - I thanked them. I was ready to get out of there and as soon as I turned on my car I feel My car shaking and sputtering like a real bad misfire.  I went back to Take 5 and it was obvious to The technicians on why I was back, they knew they did something wrong, and offered another oil change for a discounted rate. Here we are again, this time the guys were really freaking out going under my car and I noticed they were messing with my filter and dipstick many times. They kept looking at the car and each other trying to figure out what went wrong. They let me know that they couldn't come up with anything and gave me another discount this time half of my oil change which was $167. I was very disappointed since I would figure that at this point I shouldn't be paying for their mistakes.  I left feeling hesitant so I immediately took it upon myself to get my car checked to a trusted mechanic only for my mechanic to tell me that I was lucky to get to the shop with my car okay and that the car was not in good shape. My car had to stay in the shop for two days, something I was not prepared for given that all I wanted was a simple oil change. The mechanic was confused as to why was the dipstick broken and for something like that to happen it must have gotten yanked really hard which caused most of the oil to leak and burn my plugs. Now I have to pay over $500 for this damage that was not supposed to happen in the first place.  I reached out to the take 5 on culebra but the phone line takes me to an 800 corporate number and the 5+ people I've talked to have been NO help at all! They don't give me a call back like they say even after I submitted a complaint claim with them.  To say that I am mad is an understatement, Ive been dealing with this issue for over two weeks and I'm shocked that there is nobody to reach out to for help!! If you want a good oil change job, do not go to Take 5, save your money, your time, and the headaches please!! read more

I have come to this place many times in the past to get the inspection done for my vehicle registration. Well, today is my LAST time. When I got in line at 9:15am there was only 2 cars ahead of me for inspections. I am still in line waiting and it's now 10am! (I can't leave since I'm stuck in line between cars). There is one guy doing inspections and another guy doing oil changes who keeps interrupting the inspector guy so he can't finish his inspections. This is RIDICULOUS! Took my truck here before a very long road trip to get my oil changed. When I returned home and checked it for myself it hasn't been filled!! They put my families life at risk with their sloppy irresponsible and terrible work ethic. What if the trucks motor would've failed during the conditions which I would be driving through?!? I stopped by this afternoon to get my inspection done on my personal vehicle. This personal vehicle has Texas Peace Officer plates and the technician "Brandon" who approached my vehicle stated he was a former law enforcement officer. (After a bit of research, he was actually a Security Guard and never law enforcement). Brandon was socially awkward when he initially interacted/greeted me, but I let it go and he took over the inspection of my vehicle. After 5 minutes he comes back and stated my vehicle failed the inspection. As you can imagine, I was not expecting my vehicle to have anything wrong with it causing it to fail; then the technician Brandon has the audacity of telling me "you should know the law if you're a cop". I did my best to maintain my composure and not follow up his blatant disrespect or lack of social tact with a smart remark. In my line of work, nothing shocks me however off-duty attempting to get a car inspection is one of the least likely places I'd expect to get told by a civilian that I should know the law. This gentleman is a liability and completely lacks professionalism. I've never had a bad experience here other than today; if you come here please beware of Brandon. read more

There was no one at the location, was there to get state inspection. Employee walks out gives me bottled water and asks what I am there for. I told him I needed state inspection. He walks into office then back to my vehicle tells me it will take 15 minutes because inspector went to get food to which I replied I could wait. Unhappy with overall service. Took about 5 minutes to be greeted/acknowledged. Once I was in the garage, it took another 5-10 minutes for them to begin any work on my car. It's supposed to be a 15point oil change where they check your tires, windshield wipers, clean your windshield, top off fluids, etc. The young man completed the oil change, showed me my stick that was dirty on the bottom inch, and then shut my hood and said I was ready to go. Mind you he didn't check my air filter, or any of the other "included" services. I had to repeatedly ask him to do the specific service, one at a time. I didn't get all the services, it was taking too long and I didn't feel it was my duty to remind him what the job entails. read more

Following a routine oil change, a part, the oil relief valve, was suddenly missing causing the check engine and oil lights to come on. The Take 5 person told me that nothing they did during my oil change could have caused my problem. The dealership service advisor showed me the receptacle that held this part and I saw the oil change worker hold this very part previously. Of course, when I went back and asked for the core, they told me they did not have it. Dealer did not have part; it'll arrive tomorrow. The oil change people (Take 5) even offered the suggestion that this core might have been lost at my previous oil change. Not so said the dealer service rep for the problem would have shown itself some time ago. I will not ever used them again and I'll encourage others to do likewise. read more

Rude. Wouldn't check my fluids before my big trip. Last time I got an oil change there I was told anytime I needed levels checked to stop by. Gone there many times in the past year for various things yet todaY was told because it had been more than 3 mos since my oil change he wouldn't check them. Didn't even give me a price option, I never said I wanted him to for free. He just got attitude and said no, usually great service there but something has changed. I get having policies but I wasn't told I had to go to them every 90 days to qualify having my levels and pressure checked. So just be warned. At the very least could have checked them and then charged me to top off and for air. read more

I got an oil change and air filter replacement in the beginning of December. I own a Mini Cooper countryman and they had the special part to be able to change my oil. They did not try to up sell anything and only did to the car what I asked them to. Received cold water bottles when we arrived, and had all our fluids topped off for free. The air filter my car needed was not in stock, so they checked next door for us; didn't have it. However, they ordered a new one from a dealer and let us pay for it there to pick it up in a week. They are very fast, friendly, and do not push anything. Great place for service, tuneups, etc. We did have problems resetting the computer system to show up as being serviced, but I didn't expect this as this isn't a Mini dealership. That didn't bother me, as this place was more convenient for me than to go to a dealership for service. read more
