This is regarding my 2016 Chrysler 300S. I don't know what the heck you did to my car, after a simple oil change my car ended up in fumes. The oil was all over the place under the hood and in my garage. This is absolutely ridiculous. I need a call back from a manager right now. I would never visit this store, I need you to fix my car to its original condition asap. You just ended up damaging my car. I almost ended up in a fire accident situation because of this negligence and it would have killed a life. What the heck? You can't just do a simple oil change. Such a shame. I have quite a few friends who visit this location, I would ask everyone one of them to not to visit this location. This is such a careless act. I have been going through other negative reviews, the manager just seems to have a generic response to everyone. I know what kind of response I would see for this review! Stopped in today to inquire about the fact that my back windshield wiper was missing, but also to ask about a flashing light I received saying the turn signal is not working- sub optimal if you're driving around. I didn't get names here, but all the people here are super knowledgeable and helpful. They peeked at the items I had in question and as it turns out the warning stating my turn signal was not working, it wasn't correct. They saved me a few dollars, and I'll be bringing my car here in the future to ensure we have the right people supporting our vehicles in the future. I have used this location for 10plus years. Very dissatisfied this time. i brought my tires there with an extended warranty. I was there for an oil change. Normally they would automatically rotate my tires but did not. I requested an oil change. When I got back to my home in Dahlonega my change oil light was still on .They gave me a bogus inspection stating all was good on my dash lights. Not true.There were several lights on. They normally put a sticker showing date and mileage. Not done. They said I could come back. not Sure why it is my responsibility to drive back from Dahlonega to correct their errors. read more

I recently had a disappointing experience with Pep Boys Auto Shop that I feel compelled to share. After taking my vehicle in for service, I was assured that the necessary work would be completed. However, not only did they fail to follow through, but they also never called me back with updates. also still had to pay for a diagnostic and no work was done! To add to my frustration, I confirmed with my warranty company that Pep Boys had not performed the work they promised. This lack of communication and accountability is unacceptable. It feels as though they are trying to take advantage of individuals who are simply looking for reliable service for their hard-earned money. I expected better from a well-known auto service provider. Unfortunately, this experience has left me questioning their integrity and commitment to customer service. I stop here to get my battery replaced, I had issues starting my car the other day. I called before going to make sure that they have the battery in stock which they did. When I got there the tech gave me a price of $249.00 and I gave him my coupon for 30% off, the tech came back 5 minutes later and then told me that they don't have this battery in stock and then he told me that he can't order one that he could accept there coupon! UPDATE The company has reached out to me and the issue got resolved. ----- I've purchased the battery at this location about 2 years ago, they gave me 36 month warranty. The battery died all of a sudden, so I went there to get it replaced as it is still covered by the warranty. This was the worst experience I've ever had - they are rude, they did not want to honor the warranty, they ran a test on the dead battery which showed that the battery is pretty much brand new, but I had to jump start the car to get it working! I went to the official Honda service the next day, they also ran the same test which showed that the battery is dead, so I came back to Pep Boys. They made me wait for an hour to run a 30 second test that showed that the battery actually improved overnight! What a fraud! Stay away from this place, they will take your money, but will not honor what they promise and will treat you like a garbage. If I could rate them withe zero stars I would. read more

Honestly If I could give Zero Stars I would.. I am a Certified Mechanic and one of my friends towed in their Chevy Silverado because it was rattling clanking and running very rough... These people never verified the engine was any good prior too wasting a thousand dollars of the customers money on irrelevant items that obviously didn't fix the issue.. BE VERY CAREFUL taking your vehicle here It was obvious too me within minutes of looking at this vehicle that my course of action needed too be verifying the engine wasn't bad prior too wasting large amounts of money.. Took my car in because it would not shift out of park. they originally quoted a neutral safety switch and a brake sensor which would be covered under my dealerships warranty. 3 hours later, they added on replacing the entire shifter assembly, which was not covered. they completed the work over 5 or 6 days and i went home. 13 days later the car would not start unless i put the car in neutral first. this should be directly related to the neutral safety switch they just replaced. i took the car back in. they told me the key fob just needed to be reprogrammed and did not charge me for doing so, but reassured me they checked the fuses and wiring from the previous repair and said it was perfectly fine otherwise. I picked the car up and it started fine that one time. the very next morning, the car would not start AGAIN unless I put it into neutral. They should be the ones required to fix this correctly since there is a parts warranty with them, but I'm afraid to take it back to them again since they insisted everything was fine just the day before. I will be taking it elsewhere for a 2nd opinion. I only gave them 2 stars because everyone is nice and polite. read more

I have been going here for three years. I have had many issues with my 2011 Nissan but they always are effective and honest. They always tend to have the parts close by and they have even sent a Lyft to pick me up to get my car. Customer service is great and they are always willing to give you any information you need. I went in to pepboys in July of 2023 for some emergency repairs on my 98 corvette including belt tensioner and both serpentine and A/C belt squeal. with all the work I had done I spent $2,500 with this shop. after words everything I had asked for seemed to be done. But a few months later in September of 2023 my serpentine belt started squealing and by the time I could get a reservation with the shop to get it looked at the belts had exploded fortunately not causing any damage other than causing my harmonic balancer to slip. they also double charged me for a serpentine belt and A/C belt. DO NOT TAKE ANY VEHICLE HERE. They are scam artists and horrible mechanics. This just proves even more to me why I do my own work. read more

This place worked with the plan we had and since we had just gotten our car from carvana it was covered for brand new brakes. Took a couple days away from our 7 day test drive but wasn't their fault! Kevin the manager is very professional. That's worth 2 stars. I came in for a brake inspection and needed new brakes. As I watched through the viewing window I see the mechanic working on my vehicle ask the other mechanic how to do it. I could tell by the body language and gestures. So, once the instruction period was over it took soooo long to get one disc off. It was accomplished, however, when the new disc was put on, the mechanic had to keep going to the other side to see how it supposed to be assembled. That's so comforting knowing that he thought about looking to see how it looks when it's on correctly. It took almost three hours to replace two front discs. This guy moves at the speed of light. Don't even get me started on how it took him over 30 minutes to figure out that the lug nuts have a special lug and needed an adapter--- over 30 minutes. PEP BOYS , you should be doing better business than this. Update : I removed a star- I happened to get a flat the evening after I had my breaks done. They torqued my lugs so tight I couldn't get my lugs off and I'm 6' 200 pounds and am in great shape. Update to the update: I called Kevin who tried his best to make this right. However pep boys tow couldn't get me a tow to get my truck over there to get my tire off. Going to Discount Tire to fix my this problem. Save yourself troubles. Stay away from pep boys Brake Job : $300+, time spent trying to get my lugs off 3 hours, tow truck $90.00, new lug keys (2 broke) $10.50, Total time spent trying to get my flat fixed- 5 hours and 45 min. A flat should be changed under 30 min. Not what I have had to do. read more

I called ahead, around 8:30am, for an oil change, tire rotation and alignment check. I was told how busy they were with only 2 technicians and 9 cars ahead of me. I said that was not a problem and that we could leave it for the day. I was informed around 3pm, that we were done and could pick up anytime. It wasn't until later that evening that I found out that none of the tires had moved positions. I know this for two reasons. One, there is a scratch on the rim of the front right tire and it was still there. Two, the tires have a lock nut on each of them and the lug nut attachment was never retrieved from the glove box as it was still behind all of the car papers (untouched). I called to inform the store manager, Toby, that Justin lied to me about the rotation and alignment. I know the tires need to come off for the alignment check, so that was definitely a lie. Toby assured me that Justin didn't lie to me but that he was only going off of what the technician told him. So fine, if I wasn't lied to, then that alerts me to the fact that the technicians are not being checked on or monitored by the management. I have brought a lot of business to this store, four cars worth, tires, brakes, oil changes etc. I guess that's how they treat you in return, with lies and reassurance. The store manager labeled it as a training opportunity for the technician. I was an upper level manager for years and I've been in there, personally, listening to Justin sweet talk and promise the world to customers only to under deliver. The only thing Toby offered was for me to come back in and get the tires rotated and the alignment checked. No apologies, only excuses. I will not return to this store. read more

Brought the car in for two tires , purge valve and an oxygen sensor Sunday morning and it's Thursday and I'm sitting waiting for the car, I've called so much and been told so many different dates that it would be ready and I've been left without my car the whole week when I was told It would be done the day after max. I got the oil changed for my college daughter's 2012 Chevy Cruze. She drove back to college without issue. However, later on there was white smoke coming from the engine department. The car under warranty was taken to the Chevy dealer. The dealer advised the cap that covers and protects the oil filter was installed but the oil filter was missing. So the oil filter was removed but was not replaced with the original oil change. How can the mechanic that attached the cap the covers and protects the oil filter be so careless leaving off the oil filter off? I did call Pep Boys and they did take responsibility and apologize for what happened. Which is adequate...But a basic process needs to be developed to double check the work of the mechanic changing oil. I do not think the referenced issue is acceptable. read more

I made an appointment online, they didn't know I had an apt., after an hour they finally took my vehicle in to change the oil and rotate my tires. I'm watching the guy working on my vehicle who acts like he has never worked on a car, he couldn't even find the arm that holds the hood up !! I drive a very common mini van..... They go through managers like crazy! The traffic is horrible trying to get out of there. I think they are without a manager again and it shows !!!! Some kid was talking saying that he thought he was going to get his own store....... It will be another poorly ran location by what I can see! Darryl the manager could have charged me for a new tire that had a nail in it. I had a fleet car and I don't pay for any repairs. He was nice enough to pull the nail out check the tire and sent me on my way without charging me or my company a dime.
