If I could give this place 0 stars I would! After telling us they had four tires to put on our car they never had the tires. When we called to ask when we could pick the car up they said in an hour. We arrive an hour later and they tell us they don't have two of the tires. The manager Jesus didn't even want to address us when we walked in the store. The front lady ignored us and just told us the tires were on the way. Then they all started arguing with each other in front of us in Spanish. Hours went by and still the tires were not put on and by that time the manager and the front desk lady left because they didn't want to deal with the mistakes and left their other poor staff to deal with the issues. Nobody offered to assist. Run from this place! Never give them any business! They are horrible! Hopefully the corporates of Pepboys will see this because it is one of the worst ran businesses I have ever seen. read more

Please be warned about this Pep Boys location. I am not usually one to leave reviews; however, Pep Boys put my safety and the safety of the community at risk and I want others to be warned. I brought my car into Pep Boys for an Oil Change on Thursday 6/13 at 8:30 in the morning. I spoke with Jesus; he said no problem and I went off to work. I got a call about 9:30/10 am from Jesus saying upon inspection I need to have my suspension and struts replaced in the front of my car because it was damaging my wheel. I did have my car at a different mechanic place on 5/27 and they never mentioned the struts or suspension is out. I was slightly suspicious of what Jesus was saying but trusted them since they are car experts and I am not. I picked up my car at 5pm. I drove it about 500ft when I heard this loud clanking sound that sounded like metal on metal falling and breaking. I then also started hearing metal on metal when I was breaking. I knew it wasn't my breaks because on 5.27 I had my break pads replaced in the front. I immediately turned around and walked back into the pep boys and said "I think you broke my car. It is made a loud clanking noise and when I break it sounds like metal on metal." They took a test drive and didn't hear it. I test from with Jose the mechanic and also didn't hear anything. He said it could have been the suspension and struts settling. I didn't fully believe him but I said okay and started to drive home. On the drive home, my steering wheel started to shake on perfectly flat roads. I made it home and called pep boys again to say what is happening. I dropped it off again that night for them to look at in the morning. That night I began to google what could be happening in my car and found out that suspension and struts do have an adjustment period but should never sound like breaking metal. I began to start to get suspicious that Jose and his team made a big mistake on my car. Now to level set. I understand mistakes happen. I make them every day. Nobody is perfect, I am certainly not, but it is not about the mistake made but rather how someone owns up and recovers from the mistake. Unfortunately, Jose, Jesus, Aida, and Julian didn't do this. They said they test drove it 2 times on the morning of 6/14 and my car drives perfectly fine, this was a lie. They either never test drove it or they did and ignored the blaring signs that they did mess up my car and would have to fix it or they think that is how cars are suppose to drive which is more concerning. When I got my car back, I drove it to my trusted mechanic and the wheel was still shaking on it's own and the breaks were making a clicking noise. I may not know a lot about cars but I am not an idiot; steering wheels don't usually move on their own. My trusted mechanic (who had worked on my car two weeks prior) test drove and checked over my suspension and struts they said that the wheel knuckle was broken most likely in the process of replacing the struts. They also mentioned that the rotor was also damaged in the process of replacing the struts. Neither of these two parts of my car where damages when they saw my car on 5.27 and did an inspection. The Pep Boys lied repeatedly to me about either test driving my car or that something wasn't wrong. My biggest concern is that they told me my car was perfectly fine when in fact it was barely legal to drive. My trusted mechanics told me I should not drive my car and they don't really know how I drove to their shop in my car. Pep Boys Celebration put my safety and the safety of the community at risk by failing to do their job thoroughly and properly. Hope this helps someone else! read more

Well I thought they were amazing service but it seem like since I did go back for an oil change it went down hill. When I went in for it I was told I had a lot of car problems so I needed it fix great so I'll come back later and get it fix. A week later good and done. I was wrong. Tuesday my engine light went on and oil light flickering. Was told it's a new problem and if I left it now I would have to keep it all day. Nope come next day early in morning expecting to have it done in 6 hours, nope it was done in 3 hours and it was their fault!!!! Now flash forward to Monday where I'm at another place because of a recommendation from them on new thing. To find out my engine is again leaking!!!!! I use this location because it's convenient. I brought my car in for an oil change and was told that they couldn't honor my appointment because I made it online and didn't call. They told me their online appointment system doesn't notify the business so I'd be treated as a walk in. If that's the case, fix off the online appointment system or fix it. The man behind the desk told me that it would take all day so I shouldn't stay and wait. I told him I had no option and then he offered to drive me home? I felt very uncomfortable and unwelcome. After the two hours it took for such a minor service, they told me I needed multiple things fixed including the breaks. I literally just a month prior replaced my breaks and rotors. I told the man this and he said "well they didn't do it right. You need this done now" clearly I declined as all the services they were recommending was almost 3,000. Best they can do is even THINK about your car 2 hours AFTER your appointment time. Garbage. Don't go here. I will say Jesus behind the counter is the only saving grace for this place. Brought my car in for a flat tire. Had to leave the car so I decided to let them change the oil. When I returned and paid for the oil change and the flat. When I walked out to the car, I still noticed the nail was in the tire and they never had fixed the flat. Called to schedule an appointment for an oil change. They said no appointment necessary, so I brought the car in. I waited for one of the guests to finish up. The man at the desk was explaining to the guest that he didn't need two tires changed because he has a four wheel drive. The tires wear the same. The guest understood, but then the guy behind the desk went on to repeat himself and chuckled at the guest. They finished up and I told him I was here for an oil change. He you asked if I had an appointment, I said no I was told I didn't need an appointment when I called to schedule it. He laughed and said are you dropping it off, or are you waiting here for 3 hours. I left. All of this could have been avoided with a little customer service. Pep boys, do yourself a favor and put someone at the desk that will actually take care of your guests. Took car in because tire was loosing air pressure and believed there may be a roofing nail in it. They had my car 5 hours and when I picked it up they said they had indeed found a nail and had repaired it. They also said they rotated my tires, free of charge. Two days later same tire is still leaking air. Come to find out it was never repaired, or rotated and still had a nail in it! Never again will I trust pep boys with any service. read more

I have used this Pep Boy location on and off for the last 4 years. The last 2 times I have been there Jesus the manager arranged for my service. Several months ago I needed to replace my battery cable ( I purchased it directly from Honda , I didn't want to use a universal one ) I was charged a full hours labor ,$110, although it only took 20 minutes. I inquired about it and Jesus told me they didn't do segmented hours of labor ..... I didn't agree but I agreed to pay . Today I was in for my front brakes and a tire rotation ( I am traveling cross country) . I spoke with Jesus to learn the quote of $1458 , this included a serpentine belt, when I questioned the priced and asked about the hourly rate compared to my last visit he stated I had misunderstood him the last time and I did infact get a discount ( I have the bill and no discount was applied) when I continued to question the cost he immediately offered me a $ 200 discount .SO YOU MARK IT UP TO MARK IT DOWN !? I need the work done so I agreed begrudgingly again asking for a tire rotation and battery charge also ( he stated it was a low charge ) . Interestingly he said it was ready after his shift was over . I picked my car up to discover no tire rotation ( I marked one tire with a sharpie and no battery charge , I stopped at an auto store and they tested it. I know the world we live in and I'm not naive....... Jesus comes across as charming and well spoken but in fact he is a wolf in sheep's clothing! Update to the saga.... Cesar, the new manager at the Celebration Pep Boys reached out to me last week and offered to "make things right". He apologized for the lack of service that I'd received. So, always wanting to give a business a fair shot, I agreed to take the car back to them today (20th April 2021) to see if they could deliver. I took the car in at 9:00AM this morning and Cesar took the keys from me and promised to call when the work was done. They called me at 11:15AM to tell me that the car was ready. So they had taken a screw out of the front drivers tire; checked and fixed the slow leak in the rear passenger-side tire, and balanced all 4 wheels/tires. So I went to pick it up from them. They charged me NOTHING. My faith in them restored, I will now do business with them again. Thanks to Cesar and His staff for reaching out and fixing the problem. read more

Yelp needs to allow ZERO stars, since Pep Boys in Celebration earns this more than ANY other business I've experienced. On August 28th, I walked into Pepboys and explained to Jesus, who I understand is the manager, that I was driving from FL to NJ for an extended visit, and wanted a set of new Pirelli PZero tires. I also made an appointment at this time to drop the car off during a business trip a week later, so that I didn't go without my car while I was in back in FL. I picked up my car on September 8th and took it home. On the 24th, I made my drive up to NJ. When I arrived on the 26th, after a car wash, my father immediately pointed out that he didn't think I had gotten new tires. My father has been collecting cars for his entire life, and I told him I was not sure what new tires would look like, but that I would call and make sure PepBoys actually changed them for me and didn't just rotate the same ones. He assured me they weren't new and to call. I called and spoke with a manager named Steve who asked me to send photos of the tires. I took them and emailed them over, saying in my opinion, maybe the two back ones were new, but what do I know? They were clean so I'm not sure if I could tell. I didn't hear back from Steve so I called back on October 1st to see what he thought. He said that he wanted me to go to a PepBoys nearby and have them take a look and have them call him back. I could not do it that night, so I went the next day. I went to PepBoys store 711 in NJ. I walked in and asked the man behind the counter to look at my tires, and told him my situation. He came out and measured the tread in the tires and told me the tires weren't new. I called Steve immediately and asked Peter if he would speak to him. He did. Peter told Steve he looked at the tires and they were not new. He also called another gentleman out of the garage (I did not get his name) and after looking at the tires, he said they were not new tires. Steve was very apologetic, and said he would be in touch after they looked at the cameras to see what happened. I told him I was making the drive again in November, and I just wanted new tires before then. It wasn't a rush. I wasn't being a jerk. Mistakes happen. But then I went another week not hearing from anyone, so I called Steve to see what was going on this past Saturday, October 9th. Steve said they checked the cameras and the guys did change my tires. I told him I am really not concerned anymore with what his camera shows, since clearly, they are not new tires. I get that my father's expertise doesn't count, but the manager I went to in the Pepboys in Pompton plains, as well as another gentleman in the garage, told them they measured and they weren't new tires. THIS IS WHAT THEY TOLD ME TO DO. I told him I was frustrated and this is getting ridiculous. Steve said that Jesus the manager would be calling me first thing Monday morning to discuss it. (Oct 11th.) On October 12th. I had not heard back from anyone. I was ready to put this everywhere online to save people the trouble I had, but then thought maybe instead of writing a scathing review I should contact corporate. I spoke with someone who said they would get the area director involved. That was 1 month ago. I was told the area director in Central Florida was handling it, and I would get a call back soon. IT'S NOVEMBER 21st- I NEVER HEARD BACK. I got new tires at another company before my drive down again to Florida, and they actually showed me the difference between my supposedly "new" tires which only had 2500 miles on them, and actual new tires. They were disgusted when I told them the story, and how Pep Boys across the board from FL to Corporate are liars who CLEARLY do not care about their customers or making any mistake right. read more

I really have tried to make this Pep Boys work for me. I have been here several times because of its proximity to my home, but that is about it. It seems like every time I come here, they try to up sell or scam you. Example 1: I had to get new brakes installed on my Honda. After the brakes were installed, they started to squeak. Well I thought that was somewhat normal, but then it continued. I called Pep Boys and was told it was normal. 2 weeks of it still squeaking I brought it to a Honda dealership. They told me the reason it squeaked was because Honda brakes were not used. I called Pep Boys back and they ensured me that they used "Genuine Honda Pads", although could not produce any evidence. There are a few others that have occurred since then, but I just don't want to waist the time writing about these guys anymore. Although they didn't notify me when it was done, I can before they closed and they didn't charge me anything. Maybe this place used to be good at one point but we had work done on two cars and received full refund for the master cylinder that they replaced on my sons 2006 BMW going bad after only a couple of months and got the job done elsewhere. I have yet to have them look at the brakes and rotors I spent almost 2K On for my Lincoln navigator and they still squeak same as they did before I got them fixed! Had a different mechanic look at them who said a vehicle that big should have ceramic not metallic brakes. Go here at your own risk and would advise to avoid it if at all possible. read more

Do not go here!!! My car wouldn't start and I had it towed here because it was close. They told me nothing was wrong with it but suggested I buy new tires?! Then my car didn't start again a few days later. They again, told me nothing was wrong with it. I ended up bringing it somewhere else, and they fixed my starter right away. Had an appointment to just have my car checked before taking it to my dealership because of a coolant issue and this was the soonest i could get in anywhere. I literally just asked for them to look at it first. Two hours later, it's looked at finally and they were just going to do the work without talking to me first to see if i wanted it done. Luckily I caught it before they did anything that would've cost an arm and a leg. While waiting for my car, someone kept my key while doing a test drive so I was sitting there for another 20 mins. Corporate claim/complaint number 126698. On 12-7, I took my 2020 Dodge Grand Caravan to Pep Boys store #1423, located at 70 Blake Dr, Celebration, Florida 34747 for oil/tire/filters change and wheel alignment. The vehicle was in Pep Boys' possession on 12-7 from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm for servicing. I regained possession on 12-7 at 2:00 pm. On 12-8, the oil light and check engine light appeared on my dashboard. These lights weren't on before the service was provided. Right after the lights appeared, the vehicle would not accelerate normally and driving became very unpredictable. On 12-09, I returned to the Pep Boys location and was informed my car was completely out of oil. Jesus explained to me there was a leak caused by their technician's error, The error occurred during servicing on 12-7 . Jesus assured me the van was fixed and safe to drive plus new oil was added. The Van was in Pep Boys possession on 12-9 from 8:20 am to 8:40 am. The Van was released back to me on 12-9 at 8:40 am. 12-10, around 7 p.m., the oil light and engine light turned on again. 12-11 I arrived at Pep Boys at 8:20 am. 12-11 It took Pep Boys 20 minutes to identify oil leaks after just a visual inspection of the van. By 8:40 am Pep Boys told me I have a MAJOR OIL LEAK and the oil filter housing assembly needs replacement. The total cost $1200. 12-11 Jesus denies any wrongdoing/fault and insists the van's oil filter housing assembly needed to be repaired before 12-07. The van is currently unsafe to operate and needs to be towed for repairs. When Pep Boys inspected the vehicle and serviced the vehicle on 12-7, there was no mention of low oil, oil leaks on the INVOICE, and no oil & engine lights on the dashboard gauge. The work area when servicing an oil change is in the immediate area of the oil filter housing assembly. Pep Boys possessed the van for over 6 hours and did not identify an oil leak, Pep Boys raised the van to change the tire and did not identify an oil leak. read more

Claimed head gasket was blown, said it would cost 2,000 to replace. Suggested a car rental place right next door. Can you say kickback? Then two days later they said they were wrong. I had a 10 am appointment for an oil change and tire service and arrived 15 minutes early. They didn't finish until 11:20 which is the longest time I've ever waited for an oil change. This would have been fine but when I got to my car I found they had completely messed up my radio. They completely turned off my gps and Bluetooth and changed the time zone. What I think happened was that they were trying to play music but kept connecting to my phone. But instead of just turning it off they messed with a whole bunch of stuff. Got there they told me I need my right axle changed and odd because it was only my right axle apparently, starter, spark plugs, battery, oil change (which I also already did), alternator, timing belt bill went from $200-300 to damn near $2176 when I complained they somehow erased nearly $600 dollars and still try to charge me $1600 for work I didn't approve on the car. I simply told them to find fix whatever was making the engine light kick on not a whole tune up that my car didn't need. 3 days later engine light kicks on again right after paying 1600 for a tune up. Came again. 4 days after coming back again the engine lights kicks on again. 5 days after the 3rd visit and my engine light is on again. I called stated I want a refund they insisted on fixing the car. I want to speak to the owner or big boss. This is a total scam. 1600 for work that basically didn't work.
