We had a tee time here at 11 on a Saturday. We had been here a time before and I really liked the course. When we were getting ready for tee off, we went to the bar and ordered bloody Mary's. WOW! The bartenders really know how to make an amazing drink! They were very energetic and so sweet! When I ordered my drink, they asked if I liked pickles and they mentioned a pickle vodka. I had to try it and man was it delicious. We had an array of skill level and the course was perfect for everyone. The greens were in great shape and the scenery was awesome. We rented clubs and the clubs were really nice and clean. It's a great place to go and play some great golf. read more

Absolutely ridiculous experience. Super inflexible to work with if you want to bring a spectator to see what golf is all about. Ruined a potentially good day because they didn't provide 2 carts to a 3 man group, which in all my experiences is standard. Go to a different course if you want a good experience with family or friends. read more

The 75yo front desk dude, Karl ruined the day of golf for me. Set me in a bad mood. I will say I waited 24 hours before leaving a poor review. My offense: I purchased three rounds of golf for me and my sons with -rentals as we were traveling for vacation. He was set off by interacting with humans. In retrospect, I don't like to leave negative reviews. The two stars are all the other staff scraping back, the two stars I gave after wanting to leave. It is really sad that the six other staff members that I dealt with after Carl, kNew that Carl was a problem. If he was an owner, sad. If he was the longest tenured person there, please retire Carl. A poor, poor experience. I just about made him refund everything, and we go onto the next course. But we had two groups there. Too late for me. The course, was green due to plenty of rain the week prior. Made it enjoyable golf. The taste of my mouth from this bitter bitter man made the day a zero star. Even though this is a packer hang out and I'm a viking fan,the people took really good care of us. The waitress was very good and very helpful. Bloody Mary's to start with with buffalo wings to follow. After the wings a very good plate of nachos chicken ones. Both are very good. The Vikings lost but it was still a lot of fun. When I went to pay the bill, the waitress told me the bill was taken care of by a gentleman that was at the bar. A random act of kindness I couldn't believe it. To the gentleman that paid the bill. Front nine not in the best shape. Greens either are cut too short with rough mower cuts or have weeds in them. All a maintenance issue. Back nine fairways & greens much better. Sadly not an attractive course at all. The homes & greenery surrounding this course are a bit shotty. The price & pace of play is decent. The staff I came into contact with were very kind. Rough course. I cannot believe it has a 3.5 rating. It may have deserved that rating 30 years ago. Carts may be used only on pothole cart path. Mostly poor greens. $25 charge for club rent for 18 holes, much higher than other courses. I don't think I will be back unless 18 with cart is $20 or under. I wish people would not give underserved ratings, it only misguides everyone. read more

The course is cheap and short, sometimes that's what you're in the mood for. I wouldn't call it scenic by any means and it's in rough shape. That is how I based my review. Normally I'd return to this course if it was cheap enough, Summer's coming you know, but I will not return to this course due to their external food/drink policy. I certainly understand you don't want kids bringing on bottles of Jack Daniels, but ANY external food or drink will get you kicked off the course. It's their course, they set the rules-I get it. Given I'm not forced to pay for water & snacks at many other courses that are more enjoyable to play, not to mention closer, I'm not going back to the Pines. read more

Golf course in great shape. T time was 8:10, no restaurant open, couldn't get anything from the grill until 10:30. Got a great Bloody Mary after the first 9 holes. Giving this course a 4 because the guy outside taking care of the carts was an cranky ass. Also, rented clubs, filthy dirty when I got them. Apparently their carts also don't work when you get too close to the t box, or green, well that never happened and the cart quit working any way. Really? They had to bring us another cart. The purchasing/ Inventory manager needs re-trained in customer service. Not a pleasant person to chat with. Most Staff in Pro-Shop are pleasant and the restaurant manager is a great person to chat with and the food is good. Based on my visit with the purchasing / inventory manager, I rate it 2. Staff as a whole, is what makes or breaks any type of business including golf courses. read more

Great golf for the money. Found a great deal on Groupon for this course. Pro shop let me go off early and played a great pace of 18 holes in under 3 hours. Pro shop was friendly and accommodating. Starter was friendly and even offered me balls he just fished out of the water. This is a no frills course but it is kept up nice and the greens and fairways were nice. Only thing I can find wrong is some of hew tee boxes are a little slopped or uneven. Still I would come back and play again. read more

This golf course is great, my friend and I have been playing here for years! They've recently updated the front nine cart path, which it really needed. One repair still needed on the back nine between 10/11. Summer rates are in effect now, so with our weather still being nice, it's a good time to get out and enjoy a fun/friendly course. Staff always friendly and helpful in the clubhouse, beverage cart, and restaurant. Food is really good too and free popcorn read more

Course was in decent shape, but their golf carts were terrible. If you go outside of any of the designated boundaries the golf cart stops and you have to put it in reverse to move. The problem is that their gps system must be off because the carts were constantly shutting down even when we were on the cart path. When I talked to the manager of the course he basically put the blame on us and said we must not have been on the path. Probably won't golf here again unless they fix their carts. read more

Through no fault of the golf course the club house has been closed for my last two visits. Signage posted that we are not allowed to bring in food or drink. That's well and good but we never saw the cart girl until the 16th tee. We were thirsty and hungry but the round was about over so we said, no thanks. Just left here a little disappointed. I was having an issue with my shoulder and had to quit after nine. Asked for a 9-hole rain check (which you can get at any course in the valley) only to have the young man behind the counter, point to a sign on the wall with LOTS of writing on it. .....it says up there that we don't give any rain checks. So the funny thing is that I would have come back to play the nine and probably brought others with me at full price. They would have made more money down the road and it wouldn't have cost them anything today. So rather than guaranteeing future customers, they just left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Fun golf for tournaments. Bartender Michelle is rude and not worth hanging in the bar after golfing and watching football. She has a foul mouth and she does not know how to provide good customer service. I would not recommend nor will I ever contribute to supporting this establishment. read more

We had a family foot golf tournament this weekend and it was amazing! Peoria Pines did a great job accommodating all 18 of us. They treated us the same as the golfers and didn't make us feel like we were in the way. Even the other golfers were pleasant and patient with our large and sometimes loud group. We had teams and played a scramble style game and it was a hit for Grammy down to the 2yr old. It will definitely become an annual event for our family. Thanks again Peoria Pines! read more

I like this course alot because the staff is friendly and the course is usually in real good shape. The prices are very fair even in the winter! During the summer they don't just let the body of the course die off it is maintained very nicely. It is a perfect course for the beginners or just to come out and stay in the swing of things for the more advanced. Food is good, beer is cold and the wait staff is fantastic! OTB on site and tv's galore for gameday... stop on by for a round or just to say hi and grab a cold one! read more

Fun little course, pro shop staff and course manager Chuck were awesome. We wanted to hang out in the bar after to watch football and have lunch but the bartender Michelle was so rude we ended up going elsewhere. One person in our group voiced his displeasure at her attitude and poor service and she used profanity at him and asked us all to leave. The General Manager Scott showed up and immediately blamed us. He got confrontational and stated we were lucky he didn't have security working that day or we would have gotten our asses kicked....Too bad we will never play this course again due to the bar staff and general manager...I cannot believe anyone would allow a person like Scott to manage their business! read more

No doubt it was our fault for not reading the groupon right!!! My point was that at the price we paid to play this course it was not worth it, on any day at anytime. If you look at the reviews of the people who give this course a high rating the low green fee $23 is the most common reason like it. read more
