I played here many times as Maryvale, first time since Grand Canyon University took over the management and maintenance of the golf course. Have to say GCU has made many improvements to the golf course, fairways are thicker with grass, greens are fast and challenging. The off fairway areas are thin to no grass and the old Tamarack Trees are the same as before . The clubhouse is the major difference, new and beautiful with nice banquet area for meeting and lunch for tournaments. Good job GCU

Without hesitation, he called Joseph from the Cart Barn to help me search for the phone on hole 1. Joseph and I went back to the course, and he started calling my phone as we retraced my steps. It felt like we were searching for a needle in a haystack, but they didn't give up. Thanks to their determination, we found my phone, and they even let me redo hole 1 so I could start fresh. This level of customer service is truly above and beyond. It's not just about playing golf here; it's about how the staff genuinely cares for their customers. Coldwater Golf Course is a hidden gem for golf enthusiasts who want a great round without breaking the bank. We played over 9 courses while I was here and it was some of the best golf I have played in years, that is until I played here. We made arrangements over 8 months in advance, and booked the round at the maximum 2 weeks beforehand, to ensure our journey from Toronto had no issues. The pro shop had no record of our registered guest status, and called the management office who also had no record of us. We had to convince the lady we had followed all protocols necessary to play these courses, but insisted we had to play public rates, from 28 to over 60USD. After a bit of arguing, they finally agreed to allow us to play their course at rate we negotiated, saying "they will take the heat this time". This left a sour taste but I understand this was probably a simple miscommunication in their organization. Throughout the entire round, I have never seen a Marshall be a personal escort. He barely left our side, and often rode his cart in our general direction while we were teeing off, which was very distracting both visually and audibly. We were behind an elderly group, one member whom rode an accessibility golf cart equipped with oxygen mask, so we tried to keep our distance from them. We had to wait on every single shot, but the pace was decent, so we didnt mind. We were by far the fastest group on the course. One particular hole, 380 yards, we waited until they were approaching the green. Marshall insisted we should be on the tee ready and hit, while they were well within our driving distance at the 150 yard stake. I drove the ball to 80 yards from the green. I don't appreciate marshals telling me when I should hit, insinuating we are slowing the pace down. I just don't get why he wouldn't leave us alone. Overall, the course was in good condition and the layout was good. The golf itself was fine, but the staff made me feel uneasy from the get go. Future trips back to Pheonix certainly won't include this course, given the other amazing options at equal or better value.

Got them for a low price on eBay from a brick n' mortar golf store in Alabama. In excellent condition. 2 months ago out of curiosity I attended a Ping demo day at my local golf course. Wanted to smack some of the latest models of clubs. While hitting some balls rather poorly the Ping guy says to me "Here, let's put you in a green dot 2 degrees upright, it will straighten out your shots". 5 swings with arrow straight ball flights I admit that he is absolutely correct. So rather buy a whole set of new clubs for close to $1600 I decide to have my perfectly useable 8 year old Pings modified. I send them off to the factory repair shop. I learn that the waiting list for the work is 4 - 6 weeks. After a kerfuffle with my work order the clubs do come home to me in six weeks. I'm totally satisfied with the modifications. The shop even polished up the heads. My cost for modifying 10 clubs was $36 plus $20 for return shipping. Fantastic! Like I said in my 2017 review, after playing golf clubs from many, many manufacturers I am the best potential golfer with Ping clubs. Oh, my driver, 5 wood and 3 hybrid are also Ping. Just my putter is a Taylormade Spider. Which is kind'a hilarious as Ping started out as a golf putter company.
