Russell is incredible. The work was done quickly and the work was perfect. I drove to his shop, he drive me back to my house and took the car to fix the scratch. We he was done, he delivered the car to my house and I drove him back to the shop. Very easy process. Along the way, he regularly sent me update photos. read more

Ive had the privilege of working with Russell when my fender got damaged. it was def embarrassing to drive with a big dent well i must express my gratitude for russells exceptional service. He went above and beyond the insur didn't want to cover it and he tried to explain how the car would be without blending the a pillar which is different on all cars and insur didn't want to cover it he could of not did it or he could of charged me but he didn't and like he says he puts customers first and to make sure they are satisfied. He still did it anyways because he wanted to make sure I get the car looking like it never happened which he did. All in all great body shop and very honest definitely recommend he really took his time n put all his effort into his work. I highly recommend Russell to anyone needing any body work done. read more

My car looks a brand new after this body shop! I had a minor issue and needed some paint touch up and I'm very happy with the results. Russell was the 1st who responded on my inquiry, as well as, he was available to do the work right away. Would highly recommend his services to anyone. PS: his prices are pretty good too. read more

Russell is great. I received an estimate from the shop that the local car dealership recommended and it was twice what Russell quoted. He does great work and gives you the best work at the best price. read more

Would never recommend to anyone. Repair took longer than anyone could imagine. Never had any urgency to do the work. Paint was bubbled b/c they didn't let it cure long enough. Repair was not even fully completed when the vehicle was returned. Ghosted after that. All around, terrible experience. read more

Shoddy work. Poor workmanship. This shop does not have a full time labor force that is experienced in auto body repair. Overspray, runs, missing and damaged parts. Complaint filed with the BAR. Rework to correct defects at thousands of dollars. Car was held hostage for months due to conflict on agreed payment. read more

This was the most unsettling, sketchy and regrettable, costly experience ever. I was guaranteed max 10 days for repair which began July 1 yet was not only UNFINISHED as of October but I have learned that this shop caused a lot of additional damage which I now need to get fixed elsewhere. I got many quotes b4 choosing this shop & chose them because I was "saving" about 1k & trusted the good reviews. I wish I had just gone elsewhere because choosing this shop cost me thousands in extra costs and stress + I have been told by my dealership and a highly rated shop that the work which was done is horrible (still unfinished too). Also, I was promised my car would never be on the street yet my cars app showed me it was parked on the street late at night so I got a ride to check and it was indeed left on the street in this sketch area along with a bunch of other cars - beware. I was with my car that night for awhile and no one came out (I was told they had security everywhere).. I wanted to leave this review because it is important to be informed and I wish I hadn't fallen for the good reviews because I do not believe they are authentic. read more

We accidentally yanked off our Prius spoiler when we opened our garage. After two weeks of research, we finally found Russell, who helped us through the whole process. Besides the affordable price of the repair cost, the final result for the repair was top notch. Russell was helpful and responsive. We strongly recommend his business to all the Coachella Valley residents. read more

My car was a victim of a hit and run. The at fault party later came forward but dealing with their insurance was a real pain. Russel helped me feel at ease by communicating with the claim representative so I could avoid the headache. He sent me pictures detailing the progress of my car and the results were amazing. I appreciate the hard work and dedication he put in to get my car looking brand new. I would recommend his business if you want the best service in the valley. read more

I like to thank the crew from People's choice it's a great place to bring your car to I have the best experience thank you very much

Russell is an honest man. He has his challenges in his shop, as many people these days do. Finding and keeping the quality of workmanship the owner represents has become difficult for almost every business. It has caused a level of mistrust in me in every hire I seek out for anything I need done. When I brought my car to him, we sat down, we talked, and we both agreed that these are very challenging times, but that he had the expertise to do the repair and make it "good as new". I wanted to believe him, but as I've said, I've become skeptical, very skeptical. What I found out over time (and once I saw my car repaired) was that Russell lives up to the standard he represents and can be trusted to do what he says. He is a bit "old school" and worth taking time with to let him give you a full and clear representation of what the job requires. I would not hesitate to work with him again. read more

A+++++ SERVICE. SMOOTH, PROFESSIONAL AND AFFORDABLE. RUSSELL IS THE MAN!!!!! I had to have an emergency repair done on my car within a 6 hour time window on a busy Monday afternoon as I needed to drive home to Los Angeles later that night. I called everywhere in the valley and couldn't find anyone who could help / wanted to help. Finally, after almost giving up I found Russell who did not hesitate to provide his services. I had my car at his shop no more than 30 minutes later and he worked late to get it back to me that same night. He sent me progress photos throughout the entire service and the whole process was incredibly smooth, especially given how dire my situation was. Russell is a literal LIFE SAVER and I will be recommending him to all my contacts in the desert. read more

Do yourself a favor and call Russell for any automotive repairs, paint jobs, etc. of any kind right now. He is the most honest, hardworking person in the profession, and the work speaks for itself. I came across this shop after reading the reviews. I woke up to seeing rear damage to my car, so immediately went to Toyota to order an OEM rear bumper believing that I could order and install it there. After it arrived, they informed me that I would have to go to a collision shop and have it painted there as the bumpers do not come primed or painted whatsoever. They recommended I-10 Collision Center and told that they "usually get the color right" so I reached out, and after 3 hours I was quoted $300 more than what I ultimately paid here before the gratuity. From the moment I called, Russell made me feel welcome and heard me out, and I was given a quote within the hour. The price was unmatched! The color is Midnight Black Metallic and Russell had it down perfectly upon providing the color code. The job was quicker than expected, due to the fact that Russell works after hours to be prompt on all his work. It was my first experience with this shop but it definitely won't be my last, there's no one more knowledgeable that delivers this quality at this price than the People's Choice Auto Expert. Thank you! read more

Russell is arrogant and is completely full of himself . Took car here to fix drive shaft. Russell also recommended to change brake pads. Months later having same issue with drive shaft and russell refuses to work on the car. Take car to the dealership and they also inform me that whoever installed them did it completely wrong which they told me could have damaged the car. This was hands down one of the best experiences I've ever had with an auto body shop. A tree branch got wedged in my frame and decimated my front bumper, undercarriage, and wheel well. The plastic got bent, making our car a hazard to drive. I had just moved into town and didn't have a go-to mechanic, so I requested a quote from a few places, and Russ was the first to reply (within a few hours). He not only offered me a fair price and agreed to have the work completed within two days, he also picked up the car from our house and dropped it back off to us. The repair work he did was top-notch, and he stayed in constant contact with us throughout, sending pics and asking questions as needed. It gives me great comfort to know that there are honest, reliable, trustworthy business owners like Russ out there, going above and beyond in order to get the job done. Will gladly give People's Choice all of my car repair business from here on out. read more

Peoples Choice Auto Expert - Body Shops Near Me - Indio, California

I rarely write reviews but I recommend Peoples Choice Auto Expert body shop in Indio CA and it's owner Russell Velletti. I was in an accident in my pickup truck near Bombay Beach CA. There was severe damage to the rear cab pillar of the truck. I like the truck and plan to keep it so I wanted it repaired correctly and returned to its pre-accident condition. I knew the repair would be difficult because the structural integrity of the cab had been compromised. I live in Washington State and had no knowledge of good body shops in the area. I called over 10 body shops who had positive reviews and talked with each of them to assess whether or not I thought they had the knowledge and skill to do a good job with the repair. Russell was the only one who not only took the time to talk with me but could speak knowledgeably about the repair. Russell did an excellent job with the repair. I can't even tell the truck was damaged. He was also effective in dealing with my insurance company, The Hartford, who were extremely difficult during the claim processing. So I recommend Russell. I know he'll do a good job for you. read more

to keep it short and simple, do not go here. if you want the longer version of it, the owner lacks sophistication, respect and professionalism. he talks too much about himself, his family, and other clients rather than trying to get to the root of the issue being one's vehicle. he made disgusting inappropriate sexual remarks about me and my sister and fetishized our race and our appearance (given we were both 25+ years younger than him?). i did the mistake of leaving my vehicle here after he convinced me that my car was in good hands but almost a month in, there had been nothing done to my car and it was just collecting dust. once my insurance informed me of the situation with the owner and how difficult he was being, i realized i had made a bad decision leaving it there so i called him. i called him and he immediately starts talking shit about the insurance adjuster and i cut it short and told him i need my car back to take it to another shop. through this phone call, he harassed me and my mother and screamed lewd vicious comments towards us to the point where i felt unsafe going to retrieve my vehicle. the cops were contacted but he was no longer at the shop by the time we got there. my car was disgustingly caked in dirt and once i got in the car it looks like the windows were left open the whole time too since there was an uncomfortable amount of dirt in the car. so many things went wrong here, so many things i have left unsaid but i have video proof of every single incident with owner of this establishment. please do not go here, save yourself the time and spit. the best thing i did was go to Caliber Collision in Palm Desert where they gave me my car back clean, spotless, and brand new where professionals get shit done and not have to deal with fragile masculinity. read more

We had Russell do repairs on two vehicles. Not serious damage but very unsightly scrapes and dent on the numbers. We found Russell to be most helpful, really combatively price and provided excellent results, especially with the paint color match. Quick and courteous response from Russel at Peoples Choice Auto Expert when I reached-out for a quote to fix damage to the rear liftgate and front bumper. There were deep scratches and repainting that needed done. His estimate was good and he was able to fit me in that day. He provided photos and videos of the progress of the work being done. He was very responsive to all my questions and communicated very well. The final work and paint touch-up is beautiful. I am glad I chose them to do the work on my vehicle. I got into a minor accident and didn't want the hassle of dealing with my Insurance knowing that rates would go up. I reached out to a few auto body places and found Russell. After receiving a timely estimate I decided to go with him from the start he was very informative and honest. He sent me pictures all the way through the process so that I was comfortable that everything was being taken care of. I definitely recommend his work because my car now looks like that accident never happened. He's also very reasonable and won't overcharge you. I'll definitely use him again. read more

Brought in my moms car because her left rear driver side door was not opening. He managed to get it fixed temporarily while he ordered new parts for the door. Once they came, in he let us know and then we went back to get them replaced. Both times he offered a car to let us move around while he was getting the job done. Very humble man, he is also very passionate about the work he does. This is so much better than going to someone just trying to get the job done. Will consider and refer him to others that need auto body work done, door works just like new! read more

An above and beyond customer experience from start to finish From the very first time I took my car in to get an estimation for the damage on it, Russell -the owner and expert that worked on my car- was very professional, honest, and forthcoming. He did amazing work on my car at the most reasonable price that I could find in the desert. He kept up communication and also provided updates with pictures as progress on the car came along. The work done greatly exceeded my expectations. I was beyond impressed with both he and his auto body shop's service. I would strongly recommend and refer him to anyone with auto body troubles without a second thought. Truly impeccable work with impeccable morality to match. Most affordable in town and hands down, Russell is the best mechanic and body work guy I've ever come across. He fixed my Mercedes that had rear end damage and made it look brand new and fully functional after an accident and after that I also took two of my other vehicles to him for various work like fixing a broken window function to replacing the entire front drive shafts to my Mercedes as well. He also did a full tune up for my Ford and replaced all old parts. Russell does great work on any vehicle but most of all, his work is the most affordable in the Valley and he's a really nice guy that explains step by step what needs to happen to fix all issues. I was looking for a body repair shop to repair front spoiler damage and other assorted dings and dents on my wife's 2015 Genesis sedan. Read all the great Yelp reviews on Peopleschoice and wondered if this place was for real. As an old car guy, I have had a great deal of experience with repair people on my many vehicles. Meeting Russell for the first time, I could tell he was unique. His kind personality, professionalism, and attention to details (pointing out small issues I had overlooked), explaining in detail repair techniques, and costs, I was impressed. Estimate was more than fair, so I dropped the car off a few days later. Russ said he would send text messages and pics on the daily progress. Sure enough, he did! Who does that? The car was finished in a week, as promised, and looks brand new! Russ is one of a kind for sure. read more
