Certified Employment Group

I just recently signed up with Certified Employment Group earlier in 2019. This is following the…read morefact that I had signed up with a couple of different Temp Staffing Agency in both Oakland and SF. Very rarely, I felt like i was or would get any fair consideration for the many opportunities and jobs out there. UNTIL, I finally met with Kim. Kim took the proper time to interview me and go in to depth about my work experience and what I was looking for moving forward. We discussed my likes, strength, weaknesses and preferences. Since then, Kim has considered me for several assignments and has placed me at a couple of great locations. Kim is very professional and respects me as a highly skilled employee and appreciates any and all feedback I can provide back to her. Especially, about the work and my experience about the assignments I do accept. Certified has worked out great for me. They have been an amazing Employment Group and have been extremely beneficial in me returning back into the work place. There is a lot of paper work to fill out and submit and there are also some assessment test, but nothing too extreme like other agencies. I have been very fortunate to have given them a try and that chance has really been paying off. Thank you Kim!

I contacted Nelson Connects, (NC) and was told that 'Jaime' does more administrative hiring and the…read moreperson I spoke to handles the work labor arena. She said the Jaime would be calling me. Jamie never did so I called the original person that I spoke to back and left a message twice. I got a text back to call a person at Nelson so in June 2025 I sent in my resume. I didn't hear anything so in July I touched base with them again. The representative asked me to do onboarding with them and I completed it. I kept looking for a job and had attained one in October. So now it is December 2025 and thought I should let them know and withdraw my application with NC through text as I have been and told them this. I got a text back stating they didn't have work and would let me know when a job was available so I knew that the text was a bot and had to retest the same thing. NC was not considerate with personal follow up and I didn't hear from them for 5 months.

I too have had a terrible experience with this agency. While looking for another position I was…read morenetworking and a friend recommended Nelson as they had some openings that I easily could qualify for. I contacted them and worked with them trying to develop a good working relationship for over four weeks. They tried over and over to get me to fill a job requisition that they were having difficulty filling, which was not a very good fit for me at all, but when I found someone else that did, they never contacted me again or tried to help me find another position. This is after glowing reviews and multiple phone interviews and telling me how qualified I was and how good my resume was formatted to highlight my skills, experience, and capabilities for the job market. So, beware that they only work for the client company and get their commission when the job requisition gets filled. Much like a Realtor works for the seller (the company hiring) not the buyer (YOU!)! Learn from my experience.
